The manner of the performance and victory were very impressive. Hearts were on a great run, clearly the 3rd best team in league, picked an attacking line-up and they and their fans clearly fancied their chances. That was a real Rangers out their tonight, swatted Hearts aside.4 points

"this is not a Celtic show". "This is not a Celtic show" were the words uttered by RAB Cosgrove on Off the Ball ten days past. The guest was Paul John Dykes, Author of half a dozen books about ra Sellik. He had another tome to flog, 'the Celtic Jersey' - a history of ra Sellik shirt as worn through time. The green'n'grey hoops did not arrive until 1903. Like the exhibition game between Renton and Hibs that took place at Sellik Park in 1888, where Sellik proceeded to sign the better halves of both teams, before playing their first match against a Rangers xi; the idea of the hoops was stolen from established Glasgow Junior club, St Anthonys. Anyways, if any one has continued interest, Paul John's book is available for £30. RAB and Token Tam lionised Paul John, telling us several Sellik minded Journos were of the opinion that Mr Dykes was the thinking man's Sellik supporter. Of course, Paul John owns and hosts ra Sellik Podcast, 'A Celtic State of Mind'. Off the Ball is not a Sellik show so we are told by RAB, but the next week another facet of ra Sellik mind from a pair of Podcasters were the guests. Former Referees, Des Roache and Steve Conroy skipped their Lodge meeting to advertise their take on the ongoing conspiracy. On Sunday last, Off the Ball not being a Sellik show had former Daily Record Journo, Anthony Haggerty as the guest. There was book to plug and an update. When the Daily Record let go Haggerty last summer, he appeared mid season to tell us he was returning to University. He matriculated for a Bachelor of Education, intent upon becoming an English teacher. On Sunday, he had dropped out, not for him. He was now working for a Sellik Podcast - 'the Celtic Way'. It is a shame he dropped out because he could have told the show's Producer, the collective noun for a gathering of Sellik Podcasters. May I suggest a PQ of Sellik Podcasters? RAB began the show by saying, "the resignation of Nadhim Zahawi was not the big story of the weekend, Wullie Collum cheating St Johnstone at Ibrox was, have you seen the decisions"? Remember, it's NOT a Sellik show?4 points

We've added two players who improve the starting 11 (hopefully). That is something we haven't done much in recent years, and especially not with players who have their best years ahead of them. As things stand now, Goalkeeper is the main priority for the summer. And the uncertainty around Kent and Morelos will determine what the next priority is. We still lack goalscorers behind the striker and that's hopefully something that we can address in the summer.4 points

In an ideal world, I'd like to have seen more players leave and one or two more brought in but if we feel we can do better business in the summer then c'est la vie. Particularly excited by Raskin as I feel he's exactly what we need in the midfield: bite, energy and hard work. Otherwise we largely go with what we have. Cantwell should help off the right side whilst we can only hope other players such as Roofe, Yilmaz, Souttar and Lawrence can contribute more towards this season and the future. A lot of work to do in the summer window though.4 points

Is that an apostrophe gone off course or is young Lowry hedging his bets?3 points

Holy smoke, we actually played two halves for a change. 3 goals, 3 points, clean sheet, life is good. That's the best I've seen from Glen Kamara in a very long time - clear MOTM performance and about time too. It might have been Tillman if he'd turned up for the second half. It might have been Morelos if he didn't get caught offside so often when it's easier not to. It might have been Barisic or Kent but not quite.3 points

Great performance and victory tonight. 10 out of 10 for all who contributed.3 points

From memory, I think Barisic caught form at that time. He’s also top for assists this season and doing well in a range of stats. Yilmaz impressed me though and I think he’ll improve us when he starts playing.3 points

OP updated now. For those interested, here's the list of our players over at TM showing which player can play in each position: Squad by primary and optional position at Transfermarkt3 points

Less likely to lose possession, more likely to work at the defensive part of the game? Lowry is a great prospect, but Cantwell appears to be good enough to be a regular first team starter whereas Lowry isn't (yet), according to Gerrard, Gio and Beale. I'd have liked to have seen Lowry go on loan and get regular first team games at a high level and come back a more rounded player.3 points

Jean Johansson took on Michael Stewart last year on Twitter reference racism. As we know, Michael likes to work out. He posts 30-40 seconds videos of himself floating like a butterfly and stinging like a bee, whilst taking on a punchbag. Jean reduced him, ripped off his arm and proceeded to batter him about his head with the soggy end. It was a mismatch.3 points

Great idea though. It’s a win-win, great option for fans and good for the club.3 points

Morelos when on form is unplayable. He has shown that on many occasions. He's back to bullying defenders and scoring goal. Long may it continue.2 points

We sign Raskin then Kamara & Ludstrum play excellent 🤣2 points

Kamara and Lunny outstanding. Morelos on song Tillman really good. No failures. Best performance of the season. Well done Bears. @Gonzo79 you got out every time we play Hearts 🍻2 points

Best 45mins of the season - more of the same 2nd half please Rangers.2 points

That's how we play when the players get the half-time tea before the game. Probably the best first half of the season, just keep it up lads.2 points

Should be 4 or 5. Dominant. Fantastic performance.2 points

We seem to have found Kamaradona for tonight’s game. Missed that guy.2 points

I'm retired now ,I used to be a lorry driver and worked most Saturday's and I used to listen to this crap (I know) ,nearly every week at least one of their guests was a Celtc fan and very occasionally the odd Rangers fan2 points

MB, quoted in The Athletic, a few days ago: “If we don’t get the work done now, we’ll do more work in the summer. If we do more now, it will be less in the summer,” he said. “I’d like to add a midfielder who is powerful and can run. I’d like another centre-half, we’ll be looking at the goalie situation in the summer, and we’ll be looking for another No 9."2 points

I could never understand why Yilmaz didn't immediately take the LB slot. Maybe it was a settling in thing but nothing usually speeds up settling in than knowing you are first choice.2 points

On this point, you could argue that the signings of Lundstram, Davies, Lawrence and Colak all improved the starting 11. But they are all in their late twenties with no real sell-on value. Raskin is the first signing of its kind arguably since Aribo potentially. Straight into the 11 and very young, with high sell-on potential. Yilmaz will hopefully be similar, and Tillman!2 points
-
From what I can tell Lawrence is still a way away. Kamara looks like he is regaining form. Let's hope Lundstram recovers and gets back to his best. Beale said a few weeks ago that he wants to give Sands a run at DM as it would be unfair to judge him when he has not been playing in his best position. I reckon 2 out of 3 from Davis, Arfield and Jack will go so right now there are uncertainties about defensive midfield. We definitely need at least 2 keepers, a centre half and a quality striker added to the potential cost of buying Sands and Tillman. We cannot possibly do all of that in one go on our budget. My main concern, apart from the financials, is the lack of height in the team in midfield and forward line coupled with our inability to deal with high balls in the penalty box. Whittaker would have been a good buy on a number of levels. We definitely need to utilise Tillman's ability in that regard much more in both boxes.2 points

Sky are such an amazing partner for our game. We are so lucky they pay us a pittance to not televise it. Also not bothering showing Hibs at Ross County tonight. They have about 70 channels for sport. But not showing on any. Also didn't resell rights onto STV/BBC or any betting platform. Many thanks for this deal to Peter and Neil.2 points

Yeah on quick reflection Kamara was the most consistent throughout the game. Getting forward and starting to show more confidence on the ball. His anticipation can be a secret weapon in our attack.1 point

OK, Hearts have been very poor but that's because we're not giving them a minute's peace on the ball which is undoubtedly our best 45mins of the season. Much improved tempo, aggression, energy and strength shows this team remain capable. Can we do it for the 2nd half? Just a pity we're not ahead by more as two disallowed goals, two efforts off the woodwork and a couple of fine saves from Clark show just how dominant we've been. Hearts not out of it yet though!1 point
-
Well, so far we are two nil up and we are dominating and creating lots. This is excellent1 point
-
It does have Jack (commonly referred to as our best midfielder), Colak (our highest scorer this season), Lowry (our most promising youth product) and Cantwell (who a lot of us have high hopes for). Beale knows all about games in Gorgie and is right in sticking with tried and tested.1 point
-
If the two players currently masquerading as fullbacks are the best we have and they're considered to be "on form" then we're in worse shape than I thought we were.1 point
-
Like Hearts, Motherwell and the like? You can't tell the opposition how to play and high balls will be used against teams with a lack of height, particularly in a league like ours, where agricultural football is still in favour.1 point
-
I agree with that. We are poor in the air and Raskin, Yilmaz and Cantwell coming in will actually make it worse.1 point

Oh I know. I have had it for years. I like these afternoon games (for me). 0600 comes too damned early many weekends. Especially if I have had a good swim in Riviere Bordeaux1 point

Well it’s all over until the next window so it’s now upon the managers shoulders to take his players find a winning formation and stick to it I wish him well .1 point
-
The stats I’ve seen on Sands as a DM are not promising. I do wonder if they erroneously included his games at centre back though, which would heavily skew the stats. But they basically showed that he is good defensively but has extremely low contribution creatively.1 point

A quieter january transfer window for us this year compared to a year ago. No Aaron Ramsey type signings this time. Just two signings (Cantwell & Raskin). Both should be pushing for a place in the starting XI soon enough. Young players whom we should be able to sell on again should we wish to do so. However a number of players will be leaving at the end of the season when their contracts end. We’ll certainly need at least one new GK and at least one CB too. It’s important we start identifying who we want as soon as possible. I’m sure that’s already underway as we speak1 point

Would you consider yourself, "a BRAZEN Rangers supporter"? I was leafing through today's newspapers this afternoon and I noticed a lurid Evening Times headline, 'Celtic fan lunged at Rangers fan with screwdriver in Glasgow'. I note no comments are allowed on the story and the reporting Journo is not named, the by line is, 'Court Reporter'. The first line of the report gives more information, "A Celtic fan lunged at a BRAZEN Rangers supporter with a screwdriver after a row following a Glasgow derby". Note the preferred language of, "Glasgow derby", much utilised by ra Sellik View. Given the above, I wondered as to the thrust of the report? Is thrusting a screwdriver at a BRAZEN Rangers more acceptable than doing so against a Rangers supporter? Would it not be more appropriate to describe the fan doing the lunging as being, bold and without shame? A couple of weeks past, the Evening Times announced it's newly appointed Editor was, Stacey Mullen. The Holyrood ghirl is no stranger to matters Rangers. Back a couple of decades ago when Stacey was an Undergraduate and known as, 'Showbiz Stacey'; she blamed a fracas in the Students Union upon a grouping of unwanted H-u-ns. Stacey's social media history was littered with usage of the H term. She apologised, let her hair return to it's natural colour and, attempted to lose weight. Now, Stacey is big mates with Angela Haggerty, Jane Hamilton, Kevin McKenna, ..... etc. Like all mentioned, Stacey is a beneficiary of a second chance, she continues to hate, just a lot more carefully than she used to. Stacey extended this gift to Gabriel McKay - you may remember this time last year, the Daily Record did a front page expose of the Heart and Hand podcast fronted by David Edgar? Heart and Hand came back stunningly with their own expose of the Daily Record, particularly Mark McGivern and Gabriel McKay. McGivern left the blatt and McKay entered anti-sectarian training. Both Mark and Gabriel had a social history full of the H term and Gaby had a Tweet from the opening of the Commonwealth Games at Sellik Park by the then Monarch with the question, "where's the IRA when you need them"? The Daily Record quietly let Gaby leave and the new Editor of the Evening Times hired her fellow Sellik supporter. How did brazen Showbiz Stacey and brazen Gaby do it? We should be told.1 point
