Will we hold the next meeting of the Ross Wilson appreciation society here or start a new topic?4 points

Jean Johansson took on Michael Stewart last year on Twitter reference racism. As we know, Michael likes to work out. He posts 30-40 seconds videos of himself floating like a butterfly and stinging like a bee, whilst taking on a punchbag. Jean reduced him, ripped off his arm and proceeded to batter him about his head with the soggy end. It was a mismatch.3 points

Great idea though. It’s a win-win, great option for fans and good for the club.3 points

Would you consider yourself, "a BRAZEN Rangers supporter"? I was leafing through today's newspapers this afternoon and I noticed a lurid Evening Times headline, 'Celtic fan lunged at Rangers fan with screwdriver in Glasgow'. I note no comments are allowed on the story and the reporting Journo is not named, the by line is, 'Court Reporter'. The first line of the report gives more information, "A Celtic fan lunged at a BRAZEN Rangers supporter with a screwdriver after a row following a Glasgow derby". Note the preferred language of, "Glasgow derby", much utilised by ra Sellik View. Given the above, I wondered as to the thrust of the report? Is thrusting a screwdriver at a BRAZEN Rangers more acceptable than doing so against a Rangers supporter? Would it not be more appropriate to describe the fan doing the lunging as being, bold and without shame? A couple of weeks past, the Evening Times announced it's newly appointed Editor was, Stacey Mullen. The Holyrood ghirl is no stranger to matters Rangers. Back a couple of decades ago when Stacey was an Undergraduate and known as, 'Showbiz Stacey'; she blamed a fracas in the Students Union upon a grouping of unwanted H-u-ns. Stacey's social media history was littered with usage of the H term. She apologised, let her hair return to it's natural colour and, attempted to lose weight. Now, Stacey is big mates with Angela Haggerty, Jane Hamilton, Kevin McKenna, ..... etc. Like all mentioned, Stacey is a beneficiary of a second chance, she continues to hate, just a lot more carefully than she used to. Stacey extended this gift to Gabriel McKay - you may remember this time last year, the Daily Record did a front page expose of the Heart and Hand podcast fronted by David Edgar? Heart and Hand came back stunningly with their own expose of the Daily Record, particularly Mark McGivern and Gabriel McKay. McGivern left the blatt and McKay entered anti-sectarian training. Both Mark and Gabriel had a social history full of the H term and Gaby had a Tweet from the opening of the Commonwealth Games at Sellik Park by the then Monarch with the question, "where's the IRA when you need them"? The Daily Record quietly let Gaby leave and the new Editor of the Evening Times hired her fellow Sellik supporter. How did brazen Showbiz Stacey and brazen Gaby do it? We should be told.3 points

There's still a constituency that doesn't rate him for some reason .... but they're wrong and you're right ... obviously 😉2 points

Jack is still our best midfielder when fit. Letting him go wouldnt make any sense as we still need a SQUAD, not a team.2 points

Or we have been working on these deals for several weeks/months.2 points

Happy Deadline Day! I'm hoping for a Belgian midfielder and a wee surprise.2 points

Raskin replaces Davis Cantwell and Tillman replace Arfield I’m fairly certain of those. Jack hasn’t been replaced and will renew for a year on a reduced wage I think. I think the funds available will be used in the summer for priority positions like goalkeeper, centre forward, centre back and possibly right-forward (Whittaker or similar). All those positions are now higher priority than centre mid so renewing Jack for a year will be seen as a sensible move.2 points

I went inside both the retail shop/cafe from one queue and then the fanzone in the other. Both are lovely and should be a good addition for fans who turn up early for games. Going into the shop/cafe, you enter the ground floor where it is all retail dotted about, but you can go upstairs where there is even more retail covering about half the upstairs space, with a small corner showing some stuff showcasing the upcoming museum, and a cafe with some seating areas surrounding it. A DJ is playing non-Rangers music, didnt quite see the point of that. Either Rangers songs with the DJ or just background music that could be played from recordings, no need for a DJ in my opinion but it was a good space. Concrete floors could do with a carpet or better flooring, perhaps that is still to come and they didnt quite have time for it in their rush to get open. I then left there and joined the bigger queue to get into the fanzone around 2.15pm yesterday. My mate had been in for about 30 minutes by this time and heard interviews with Helander, Matondo & Henderson as well as Jane Ross. Standing room only, with some high tables dotted about and a bar at either end, one a full bar and one just for pints. £4.95 a pint and cashless. It all comes to a halt about 2.30 when the bar shuts. All in all I really enjoyed the experience and will definitely make this part of my pre-game routine, much better than sitting in the bookies!2 points

A quieter january transfer window for us this year compared to a year ago. No Aaron Ramsey type signings this time. Just two signings (Cantwell & Raskin). Both should be pushing for a place in the starting XI soon enough. Young players whom we should be able to sell on again should we wish to do so. However a number of players will be leaving at the end of the season when their contracts end. We’ll certainly need at least one new GK and at least one CB too. It’s important we start identifying who we want as soon as possible. I’m sure that’s already underway as we speak1 point

That concludes a very good transfer window in my book. Two strong, long term signings made in January. Not often you can say that! With players returning from injury too, we hopefully have a better second half the season ahead of us.1 point

If the alternative to signing some Wigan jobber centre half is no more signings I’ll take it. Goodnight.1 point

Glad we've managed to get two first team starters in. We need them.1 point

Too many fail to realise this. We sign a player and it automatically means the players we have are out the door. We need a squad.1 point

When I originally posted I wasnt aware of his not wanting to sign a pre contract - that does definitely change things. None of those German clubs that wanted him are bigger clubs than Rangers, none of them.1 point

Not really, but earlier in the thread you seemed to be oblivious of said revelation. So playing the smart cnut now makes you look well, a less than smart cnut 😁1 point

I can't understand any supporter paying money to another source when RTV is so easily available to everyone. I'm tempted to say Rangers First but maybe someone else has dibs on that idea.1 point

All these transfers all the money getting paid to clubs players agents they are all getting their cut I wonder when the chancellor will see some easy money and start putting a tax on transfer fees say 20% off the top .1 point

Judging by the cup-tie at the weekend, their need is greater than ours.1 point

That's all well and good, everyone's entitled to an opinion. All I was doing was stating the facts. It was a penalty because a penalty was awarded. It was a red card because a red card was awarded. Jack's tackle was only a yellow card because only a yellow card was given. Willie Collum doesn't make mistakes about issues like these 😉 We shouldn't take the yahoo bait and get involved in a debate about issues that are incontestable. 😂1 point

I think we will have got ourselves a bargain.1 point

The signing of Cantwell and now Raskin seems to suggest that Jack, Arfield & Davis won’t be offered new deals at the end of the season1 point

Our penalty was a penalty, their red card was a red card, Ryan Jack tackle was never a red card. End of story. What else is there to know?1 point

“Allegedly” doing some heavy lifting there. We don’t know the details and circumstances of the deal. For a start, it assumes a man who was frozen out of his team for months was willing to wait till the summer. I would bet he that a move in January was non-negotiable for him. There would have been plenty interest from other clubs. Empire on FF also said they wanted double what we eventually agreed for him. I’m just glad to have a very good player in the door. Edit: Just seen the last line of your last post!1 point

Visited the downstairs bit of shop and fan zone post match… ideal for killing a bit of time instead of queuing for the subway. Decent space and will be great for taking kids pre match I reckon.1 point
