Also worth mentioning the pitch - an absolute disgrace for a "showpiece" semi-final. I've never been a fan of Hampden since it's been "renovated". It also one of the worst grounds in Scotland to get in and out off.

Just calming down after game and getting home. Hampden usual s**i hole and pitch bloody hell, My view on game:- 1) McGregor finished,static at goal. 2) Full backs both were poor especially Tav. 3) Looks like a few are carrying injuries. 4) Beale has them showing fight in adversity. 5) the sheep got what they deserved. 6) We're in the final so result.

It wasn’t the easiest watch this afternoon but we got there in the end. Since MB took over there does seem to be a greater belief amongst these players although to be honest some are definitely nearing the end of their time at Rangers. I do think the likes of Ryan Jack & John Lundstrum are losing a bit of influence in MF they once had. Maybe this explains MB’s interest in players quoted in the media. Recruitment now and in summer needs to be better than we’ve had in recent times. This will define MB’s time as Rangers manager

Why play two semi finals at the same ground less than 24 hours apart? Hardly gives sufficient time for the pitch to recover.

I have sat for a couple of hours contemplating whether I should make this post and, what forum would be most appropriate. I decided I would submit the article because genuinely, I would like to know the answer. Further, since most Gersnetters will be familiar with the names and, their continuing actions against Rangers and Rangers supporters; Rangers Chat is suitable. Today in the Herald, Kevin McKenna utilises his weekly column to lionise the Parish Priest of the Immaculate Conception church in Maryhill, Glasgow. Father James Lawlor has bucked the trend of falling congregation numbers by standing up alongside some of his parishioners who are fighting the Home Office's attempts to deport their families. Certainly, it is a story worth telling. Kevin has been prominent in both the written and broadcast press in Scotland these last 35 years. The Priest's name also rang a bell? It is like Gerry Braiden, Irvine welsh, Jum, Angela, ...... etc - big listener means big contributor by proxy. Lafferty has just finished a ten game ban, he has lost both appearance and bonus monies. If that is the way to go, what has happened to Martin Compston? Did RAB or any of those others mentioned demand action be taken after Martin conducted the balaclava choir in Las Vegas at ra Sellik convention? This month alone, Martin has appeared on BBC Scotland in Mayflies, Travels Across Scotland and, Rig. I will ask again, how do they do it?

The SFA now owns Hampden. Wonder if they’ll be able to fund its upkeep. A new pitch for starters maybe

I thought it was a good game. Not a classic and not always comfortable but a well-contested semi-final. Games like this, especially semi-finals are seldom easy affairs and I think we did well to win it. I think as a priority we need changes at fullback, on both sides of the pitch. I'm all for using fullbacks to attack but if they can't defend as a bare minimum then they will always cost us. Barisic has always blown hot and cold but his defensive instincts are virtually non-existent. Tavernier just looks finished and there were times when he looked truly awful today ... something unfathomable when you consider the heights he was reaching on the way to Seville.

Took us 2hrs to get home after the game. No Police at any junctions or traffic lights around Hampden - it was a free for all.

That goal is not offside, nothing has changed with the offside rule regarding that goal, our players never anticipated it, bad defending is all that happened

Good to see Beale be so candid again in today's presser. It's been a largely positive start for him in the job but the week ahead is a vital one in terms of achieving some necessary goodwill. Nothing short of three wins will be expected by the fans - and those deciding transfers.
