Depending on what his remit is I don't think its worst appointment the club has made. He's a former Holyrood politician and someone who has held various roles, some senior, at the BBC, he must have an intimate understanding of how both work. We've not enjoyed good relations with either of those institutions for a long time now, and whatever your views surely an improved relationship with both is beneficial for the club. I'm guessing, so there's every chance I'm wrong, but my take is Morrison has been brought in to try and create a better relationship between the club and the large public institutions that run and influence much of Scottish day-to-day life. That won't be easy, I wish him luck as I think he'll need it.6 points

Morrison has been in post for a week now. Still no improvement. I've had it with this board.3 points

Narrator: the youths were not good enough3 points

He’s entitled to his view. Remember he expresses it in US English which is sometimes a wee bit different from our own.3 points

I've seen it, but I don't trust their source. I'd love it to be true.3 points

Another young hopeful recedes. Oh, how I want to be wrong. Durrant and Derek Ferguson had broken through by age nineteen.2 points

I think Mackay would be a good choice of manager for Lowry if a loan is being planned. edit - and it's a grass pitch in Dingwall.2 points

We should always be looking to play our best team and improve the squad wherever possible. If the youths are good enough, they'll get a game.2 points

Why don’t we put the piggy bank away and just see the season out with a blend of some of the experienced players but mostly youth the way I look at it there’s nothing to lose and everything to gain .2 points

As long as he can organise a good Christmas party and and an annual bus run to Burntisland he will be okay2 points

More likely to be exactly that mate1 point

Personally would wait as I think the league race is done. But I also see a lot of value in getting someone in now, used to the league for a few months before then hitting the ground running fully next season. So long as it isnt too expensive !1 point

Sorry, but cant agree with this. Cantwell was excellent in the Farke EPL Norwich team.1 point

I don't disagree wrt which I would rather have, if it were a straight choice. Disclaimer - I don't know much about either but am looking at profile / type of signings.1 point

I can't get so excited about a player who hasn't even signed for Rangers, has never played for Rangers and none of us really know much about anyway. These exchanges on Cantwell show exactly why these topics are of little use to anyone.1 point

I am sorry Buster, but we are gonna have to agree to disagree on this one. Cantwell is just another in a long line if guys who will cycle through our team, and produce didley squat...just like he has in England. A star that could have been...the next big thing. Plus, he looks too much like Paul Walker from the Fast and Furious movie series ...and we all know what happened to that guy...didn't end well. Not a good sign if you ask me.1 point

Cantwell will give us nothing. Slower than the Haji from what I have seen. That is glacial slow...tectonic slow. The guy would get eaten alive in Scotland. Sorry Dick, but the vote is no from me. Now...Cho Cho Sung here is a Korean goal train, and we need a ticket. The cold fact remains we need to expand out of the European market. For the most part all we can harvest from there are "could be, might be" players, and guys with ligaments formed in a famine. Soccer is a global game, and this team need to start expanding their search outward, drastically. South America as well...expansion.1 point

Some mad rule means English clubs cant speak to him until his last month of the contract unless they agree a fee with Norwich apparently. Sounds like we have beaten them to the punch. Fingers crossed. This boy could have a massive impact.1 point

If we sign this Cantwell clown I am gonna lose it. Even YouTube can't make this guy look good. His highlight video is him walking, eating a hotdog. Cho Geong Sung on the other hand---good Korean prospect--I would like to see that guy in a Rangers shirt.1 point

He nearly joined us on a bosman under Smith but joined Chelsea when Ruud Guillit was manager. Would have loved to see him play for us, a quality player who I remember often playing the game with a smile on his face. Thoughts with his family.1 point

I'm sure he was close to joining the Souness revolution at one stage.1 point

I remember saying to my dad many years ago how can Spurs afford £99,999 for one player Jimmy Greaves and his reply was in time money will ruin the game because there will be rich and poor with nothing in between1 point
