We got out of jail after a woeful 2nd half performance. Still huge improvements required. Delighted we won, delighted the sheep will be pig sick, delighted for the 3 points but we were terrible.6 points
-
Result shouldn't hide we got away with one there. Yes, we need to be patient and improvement was never going to happen overnight but that 2nd half in particular was beyond atrocious. Becoming increasingly difficult to defend the vast majority of players. We need so much more. BTW, if you get a chance listen to Willie Miller's reaction to the winner on Radio Scotland. "AWWW NAWWWW!!" https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/636527045 points

The red diddies have played out of their skins against us for decades. That won't change, so it's up to us to get on with it.4 points

Sure, it wasn't great, in fact the second half was fairly dire. But it was an amazing feeling winning like that and there were a few good things to take from the game ..... Goldson's return, a revitalised Kent and a young fullback who can both attack and defend. Oh and Scotty Arfield too! I can't help thinking about all those who were counting down the seconds to Beale's first defeat, only to be left spewing at the comeback.3 points

That horrible lot got what they deserved.3 points

When was the last time we scored a last minute winner , never mind 23 points

Very disappointing first half for me. Disjointed in possession, again dreadful in defensive transitions and generally nowhere good enough consistently through the game. Fairly obvious many of these players are talented but too many remain well off the boil. Manager has to find a solution or we drop more points.3 points

Sands really needs to stop that and we really need a new goalkeeper. Why is Davies not playing?3 points

Kent can't shoot and his passing is pretty average. Hagi, Tillman and Lowry look far better suited to being a roaming forward.3 points

I'd prefer a Klos that can kick 😉3 points

Not really comparing apples with apples. In 1970 the world Cup was one of 2 or 3 televised football events, with 'exotic' players that were relatively unknown. Pele himself was a bit of an unknown, how often did we get to see him play? Every 4 years? (Genuine question, not a criticism, I was born in 75!). Fast forward to the absolute overdose of world football that we have now, it doesn't really have that 'special' feeling that it did in the good old days, we get to see Messi et al on a weekly basis. I've always thought it a bit bizarre that Messi was judged against Pele, Maradona etc negatively, as he hadn't won a world Cup, As if thats an individual acheivement. Indeed, even the great Pele never really tested himself domestically outside of his own country. It was an awesome world Cup in Qatar, whether it was as good as another one half a century ago is pretty much irrelevant.3 points

Big game tonight, even great Rangers sides have struggled at Pittodrie. Here's hoping we go out there with the right attitude and get stuck in from the first whistle.3 points

I thought the 15mins before HT & the 15mins after HT we were particularly bad. We still seem to be having spells in games where our level seems to drop alarmingly. It was the same last week against hibz.2 points

Refreshing to hear MB being honest in his assessment post match - a 5 out of 10 performance according to the gaffer - can't argue with that.2 points
-
Relieved more than anything but MB must surely see where our problems are. We make too many basic mistakes in our play, concede goals too easily & are still too predictable. If Ben Davies was fit(& I’m not saying he wasn’t) what made him play Sands at CB? Davies is a much better CB than Sands2 points

That push their by Wright just confirms he isn't good enough. Terrible 2nd half from Rangers2 points

I'm trying to lay off the sauce midweek. This isn't helping.2 points

Strange that wasn't looked at by VAR! looked a hand ball to me2 points

That's a McGergor mistake, surely? I was worried he was standing too far to the left, and the lad still puts it past him on that side. Poor.2 points

Tonight shows how badly GVB utilised Kent and Kamara .2 points

Aberdeen showing more intent in the first 15 minutes than they did the whole 90 at the weekend. I am shocked! SHOCKED!2 points

I think when people talk about it being the best final ever they mean the best last 10 minutes (of both normal and extra time). It was a pretty dull affair up to 80 minutes but that all seems to be forgotten.2 points

I've always thought that we need an #8; someone to provide creativity and a goal-threat from deep. Recently, though, I've been thinking that a 'keeper (a sweeper 'keeper) would really solve a lot of defensive problems, while also helping us play out from the back.2 points

Congratulation @Gonzo79 Many thanks for all the work @Rousseau2 points

The cheating sheep got what they deserved for all their feigned injuries with the new added time rule working perfectly.1 point

Good result. Poor performance. Changes definitely needed in this squad, as we're carrying too many passengers.1 point

We still need a rebuild , starting with MacGregor , he's arguably our greatest keeper of all time , but enough , these mistakes happened last season , and they are happening again .1 point

Get in! Arfield is ever reliable and dangerous.1 point

Sands looks a prospect at defensive mid or not at all.1 point

No cohesion whatsoever ... pointlessly kicking the ball away, passing it to marked people, no-one takes responsibility ... hey ho.1 point

Change of manager but still a squad full of pathetic losers sadly.1 point

Sands off Davies on, McGregor off McLaughlin on.1 point

Our season thus far encapsulated in 45mins. Get in front, sit back and lose a avoidable goal. Hopefully MB can get another decent 2nd half performance out the team.1 point
-
Quite similar themes as to under gio. Lots of the ball without creating much. Look shaky at the back no need for sands to foul the boy there for the free kick either1 point

We are playing well tonight, can't say much about a well hit free kick.1 point
-
Was good to hear from the manager that more players are becoming available for selection - especially defensively. As such opportunity tonight to play Davies and King as Goldson perhaps unlikely right away. Composition of midfield and attackers open to debate! Who makes your XI? Although my XI is set out as a nominal 4-2-3-1, it has been interesting to see how fluid our setup is during games with Sakala often alongside or beyond Morelos in possession. Pittodrie not the widest of pitches so expect him and Kent to play as inside 10s. Midfield setup and personnel open to debate. Can Jack play two games in a row? Can Kamara be switched back on? Does Lundstram deserve a place in midfield? Can or should we play all three and withdraw Sakala?1 point
-
Yes probably wont we are skint and will need to shift some of the perma injured first. We could sell a Kamara/Sakala/Lundstram which would give us some cash but cant see us spending unless we sell.1 point
-
That’s true but they haven’t dropped many points as of yet. The wheels have still to come off. It would help if we could start taking points off them.1 point

During the summer Chelsea tried to sign Arsen Zakharyan from Moscow Dynamo but couldn’t transfer the funds to the Russian club due to sanctions. So did the yahoos manage to transfer funds to Ruben Kazan for the transfer of Haksabanovic?1 point
