Well done to @Gonzo79 ...and to @Rousseau for brilliant organisation.5 points

I'd like to thank my mum, my stylist and Cliff Thorburn's hairdresser. It's been a real pleasure.3 points

Its a stat that we really are only to blame for. We know they want to beat us more than the other team. We need to be 100% up for these games. Many times in the past we haven't and this is the result.2 points

I watched both of these World Cup, so I feel qualified to express this opinion ...... The tournament in Qatar was second only to 1970 in Mexico The final in Qatar was second only to the final in 1970 in Mexico The best player in Qatar was second only to the best player in 1970 in Mexico The winning team in Qatar was nowhere near as good as the winning team in 1970 in Mexico2 points

If only some of our defenders could defend like that wee Argie left back and their centre half we might go somewhere but sadly it will be the same capers for the rest of the season . Back to the final it was the best in my old eyes since 1970 and Messi was a joy to watch even if he is getting a bit long in the tooth.2 points

For me the biggest mistake Argentina made was removing di Maria too early. He had Kounde on strings the whole game. Man against a boy. The biggest mistake France made was letting di Maria run riot for an hour before really doing anything about it.2 points

Took too long for the presentation oh for the old days where they ent up into stand on one side then down other. Anyway well done Agentina/Messi as for Ronaldo hope he was watching a real player.2 points

Yes. I'd very much like to echo that. Well done @Gonzo79. Thanks again @Rousseaufor organising! PS When do the relegation place avatars change?2 points

I always thought American Football was slang for pretentious loitering without much intent 😁1 point
-
Well, if truth be told the original American football did not permit a forward pass...but you could boot it up the park...akin to rugby football, which American football is derived from. So originally there was quite bit more foot required. 'Soccer' is just slang for the word 'asSOCiation football' so as not to confuse it with the much more light, and sensitive British version. hahaha! I had to.1 point

Another factor is that, generally, celtic have sent out better teams than Rangers.1 point

Of course the 1970 tournament was excellent but you have to remember how many weak inexperienced nations there was back then and a lot were in Mexico but that was the way the tournament was then 16 teams with half not really capable of causing any upsets now days teams are well coached and much more capable that’s why our own team as well as others struggle to break down what we used to call wee diddy teams The competition on and off the parks were first class The final was a feast of two opposites in style and tactics Tha best player in Qatar really is second to no one And I think the winners played tougher opponents than the 1970 winners Plus I had a substantial bet on the Argies from away before the tournament started 😉1 point

This is a weird one. Sites like Transfermarkt all had his contract expiring in 2024. I wonder if there was some lesser known clause or something that Beale knew of.1 point

We badly need a no nonsense centre half and two no nonsense full backs rather than the fanny merchants we have now . Defenders that can't defend ffs .1 point

I think the bigger question is why, as is rumoured, the club only knew his contract was ready to expire in the summer because Michael Beale told them. Gross negligence if true.1 point

di Maria would have been worthy of Man of the Match had he lasted a full 90. I also believe had he lasted a full 90 it wouldnt have went to extra time. France just couldnt get in it, and Mbappe had to help Kounde out which negated his attacking threat. I hear people banging on about the penalties and whether they should have been given or not.... and it is strange to me that the most blatant of all penalties isnt even spoken about.... at 0-0 from a corner, Giroud clearly has a 2 handed push in the back of the Argentinian... who then also gets pushed by Upamecano into Lloris.... I suspect the reason nothing was given was because Lloris was down for a while and they forgot about it, lol.1 point

It'll be interesting how that lot line up, after thinking we were there for the taking last time, then cowering in fear against the pot lickers at the weekend. Intae thum.1 point

I listened to a radio show this morning urging the Scottish Government to get involved in the issue. The female contributor was certain the First Minister would have strong views on the matter? It got me thinking; why don't we ask the First Minister's sister, Gillian to intervene and arbitrate? Gillian is an on-line Clairvoyant, her preferred means of engaging her sixth sense is with mystic crystals and Tarot Cards. Gillian will save everyone loads of angst and, while she is at it, she can see ahead to next summer and advise Cal-Mac on printing their summer Ferries sailing schedule. Nicola and Gillian - sisters doing it for themselves.1 point

This is the bottom line. As a professional sportsman or woman, your income depends on how many people want to watch. It may well be just as hard work to be a top (field) hockey player as a top footballer, but you don't get paid as much because of the lower gates and viewing figures. It may well be just as hard work to be a top badminton player as a top tennis player, but you don't get paid as much because of the lower gates and viewing figures. And it may well be just as hard work to be a top women's footballer as a top men's footballer, but you don't get paid as much because of the lower gates and viewing figures.1 point

I'm sure there are quite a few Rangers supporters who pass away between each match the team plays. We could end up applauding throughout the match if this carries on.1 point

I still think we'd be remiss if we didn't make a cheeky £3.6m bid...1 point
