The WINNER of the Gersnet World Cup 2022 Prediction League: GONZO7 points

Yes. I'd very much like to echo that. Well done @Gonzo79. Thanks again @Rousseaufor organising! PS When do the relegation place avatars change?4 points

Well done to @Gonzo79 ...and to @Rousseau for brilliant organisation.4 points

I'd like to thank my mum, my stylist and Cliff Thorburn's hairdresser. It's been a real pleasure.4 points

Ally McCoist just said it's the 1st hatrick in a WCF where all 3 goals the ball was over the line 😄3 points

Deschamps had made about 5 subs by 80 minutes. Perhaps the illness that swept the camp had an influence?3 points

This has been triggered by agreements other associations have made that disregard revenue creation. It sounds like the SFA have a fair arrangement but the women want a slice of the men’s revenue.3 points

I’d be going down the separate entity route. SWFA. Problem solved, good luck standing on your own two feet.2 points

Unequal pay, with less for women athletes, is a huge disincentive for transwomen (men, if you like) to enter women's professional sports. Surely the Scottish Administration must act.2 points

Before this the only thing a Hawick man’s accurately predicted is that it’s “aye been”. Well done @Gonzo79!1 point

I listened to a radio show this morning urging the Scottish Government to get involved in the issue. The female contributor was certain the First Minister would have strong views on the matter? It got me thinking; why don't we ask the First Minister's sister, Gillian to intervene and arbitrate? Gillian is an on-line Clairvoyant, her preferred means of engaging her sixth sense is with mystic crystals and Tarot Cards. Gillian will save everyone loads of angst and, while she is at it, she can see ahead to next summer and advise Cal-Mac on printing their summer Ferries sailing schedule. Nicola and Gillian - sisters doing it for themselves.1 point

Not half as bad as watching the god awful American football, Or the absolute dullfest that is baseball! 🤣1 point

This is the bottom line. As a professional sportsman or woman, your income depends on how many people want to watch. It may well be just as hard work to be a top (field) hockey player as a top footballer, but you don't get paid as much because of the lower gates and viewing figures. It may well be just as hard work to be a top badminton player as a top tennis player, but you don't get paid as much because of the lower gates and viewing figures. And it may well be just as hard work to be a top women's footballer as a top men's footballer, but you don't get paid as much because of the lower gates and viewing figures.1 point

Festive season, Sky TV. It's fairly standard. 3pm kick offs on normal working days are very rare.1 point

I’m not saying rules might not have been broken, just that I can’t see it’s Celtic’s fault. If I buy a car that’s in contravention of emission rules, it’s the manufacturer that gets fined and no one asks me to return the car or stop driving it. If the SFA registered the player and the Home Office granted a work permit then so long as Celtic pay up per the contract then it’s hard to see what they did wrong. Unless I’m missing something of course1 point

World Cup, CL, and cup competitions, PLUS mating our schedule with the other teams in the league. If you look at Celtic's schedule they play four in eleven days. We actually play four in thirteen. (Dec 15, 20, 23, 28) I will take our four over theirs, especially given our injury woes...the more rest days the better.1 point

Tillman the only option for me. Two assists and one secondary assist. One of those assists being the result of a fantastic bit of skill. Plenty more to come from him.1 point

It find it funny how little so many of us believe in Borna. He is a Croatian international and World Cup semi-finalist. During the WC break I watched some old YouTube videos of our European runs under SG and Gio and forgot just how many goals Borna was involved in. Same when I watch the 55 season. There is no doubt Borna is a confidence player, but on his game his delivery is the best we have at our club.1 point
-
Same could be said about Borna who we know can provide excellent service from the left-hand flank.1 point

No hype. It's just that he's a very offensive player that could be useful in MB's system which uses offensive FBs.1 point

I've no doubt you're right. Gio's main job was to lift the squad and instil self-believe but his talent seemed to lie in sucking the motivation out of everyone. I think Gio is a really decent bloke who harbours genuine feeling for the club but found himself in the wrong job at the wrong time. Perhaps with fewer injuries and more stability in the squad things might have turned out differently but as it was he had to go and I hope he understands that. As far as I'm concerned he's one of us and will always be welcome back at Ibrox. I wish him well.1 point

Yep. The manager said himself it was down to the players and he only provides the template. However, I’d wager we would not have seen that response if the game was 5-6 weeks ago.1 point

Anything that costs the SFA money and causes them inconvenience gets my support.1 point
