The Divine orgasm is a tad premature. He did well enough against Hibs and all credit to him but in no way was he MOTM. Sympathetic recognition of a young player’s performance shouldn’t cloud rational judgement.3 points

Lifted from FF. Who remembers this?. Brilliant. https://m.facebook.com/britishairways/videos/10156857521500830/?extid=CL-UNK-UNK-UNK-AN_GK0T-GK1C&mibextid=6IxyOt&ref=sharing2 points

I see British Airways lost Katherine Jenkins' luggage and now she can't perform for the Pope at the Vatican. 🇬🇧2 points

I've no doubt you're right. Gio's main job was to lift the squad and instil self-believe but his talent seemed to lie in sucking the motivation out of everyone. I think Gio is a really decent bloke who harbours genuine feeling for the club but found himself in the wrong job at the wrong time. Perhaps with fewer injuries and more stability in the squad things might have turned out differently but as it was he had to go and I hope he understands that. As far as I'm concerned he's one of us and will always be welcome back at Ibrox. I wish him well.2 points

MB said in his post-match press-conference that Devine played well especially 2nd half (same can be said for all players) but Devine's role in the squad this season is to push Tav as Patterson did - this benefits everyone and pushes both on and up a level. I can see Yilmaz been told the same (when he's fit) that his job is to push Borna. During close season Borna told the club he'd move on if it was beneficial to the club (getting a transfer fee) but was happy to stay. Regarding Devine and Yilmaz being more dynamic than Borna, and it's a matter of opinion, but can't say / see how that can be judged when they've both played so little (couple of games each). Whatever we've paid out for Yilmaz was a significant fee for a "project" player and only time will tell if it was money well spent.1 point

Tillman the only option for me. Two assists and one secondary assist. One of those assists being the result of a fantastic bit of skill. Plenty more to come from him.1 point

You may be correct, but the fitness levels we showed during the Europa League run and in the SC semi-final and final were top notch. Hopefully MB and his team to get the players back to those levels ASAP.1 point

Sadly he was a manager that lost out at crucial moments. And latterly he was plagued by bad luck with injuries. A less technical but better man-manager may have been able to bridge the gap but that’s merely speculation. I have a better feeling about MB though. He’s Uber technical but able to relate much more to his players.1 point

Yep. The manager said himself it was down to the players and he only provides the template. However, I’d wager we would not have seen that response if the game was 5-6 weeks ago.1 point

Also on BBC website GER THING Rangers eye £500k January transfer for Angola ace Benedito Mambuene Mukendi but will battle with top European clubs Jordan Davies Published: 18:04, 15 Dec 2022 Updated: 20:30, 15 Dec 2022 RANGERS are interested in a £500k move for Angolan starlet Benedito Mambuene Mukendi. The 20-year-old midfielder currently plays in Portugal’s second tier for Trofense, and is considered one of the most promising players in the league. 1 Rangers are keeping tabs on Trofense star Benedito Mambuene MukendiCredit: Getty Born in Angola’s capital Luanda, he arrived in Portugal just two years ago, and has spent the last three seasons raising eyebrows, especially in cup competitions. Nicknamed "Beni", his contract is up next summer and Rangers join several top European sides in casting their eye over the player. Portuguese giants Braga are also considering making a move having monitored him in the second-tier division for some time. Yet the Light Blues are believed to be preparing a serious January bid for the youngster to scare off any other potential suitors. Rangers also feel they can offer more attractive wages and a chance to play European football should they qualify next season. Ibrox has experienced a lot of change in the past few months, with Michael Beale replacing the sacked Giovanni van Bronckhorst. Beale is looking to bring in a whole host of young talent this January to bolster his new side’s title charge against rivals Celtic, and Beni could be one of those. Rangers reached the Europa League final last season, having finished second in the league, but flopped in the Champions League this campaign as they lost all six group games.1 point

That was a really good victory for us last night, especially given our dreadful start. We played with energy and pace. Sakala looked as if he knew what he was doing and is worthy of another start. Sands and Lundstrum at the back is something I hope we don't need to see too often. We were lucky to get away with just 2 goals down in the early part of the game. We desperately need a new keeper. Tav and Lundstrum are still off form although Tav looked more comfortable in the second half. Tillman was man of the match for me, followed closely by Devine. As a critic of Kamara, I have to be fair and say he had a really good game. I am delighted about that. I hope he and the rest of them can sustain it. I haven't read the comments on the thread so don't know if anyone has mentioned the booing at half time. These guys should take themselves away and not come back.1 point

Spot on Cammy. Tbh if Morelos goes, we should be fairly happy we got the goals we got from him over the time he was here for the small sum we paid for him. Aye, it would've been great to get a big fee for him, but shit happens, we can't always do a Bassey. Mibbe we should get compo, Gersnets very own Jim mclean, in as director of football....1 point

You have to have buyers for players and those buyers need to offer a market value fee. You can't sell them to Melchester Rovers for monopoly money. Imagine the uproar if he sold Kent nd Alfie for say £5M each after 55. Goldson ran his contract down then resigned and Alfie and Kent may do the same, maybe they'll leave on a free transfer. Players have the power, they don't need to accept a transfer and they don't need to sign an extension. What do you suggest we do? Keep them locked in The Louden listing to Marshals patter until they sign?1 point
