  1. Yes they've done an excellent job in coming up with the proposal. I can't stress enough how approachable and determined the Board have been over the last 18 months, it was a refreshing change after years and years of banging my head against a brick wall.

  3. Anyone who can't handle their goal celebrations really should think about abstaining. Once you start complaining about people expressing joy you're on a slippery slope to misery.

  4. I suspect this is part of the reason for wishing to move the UB into BF3 it's a larger section than BF1 so even with the wheelchair area at the rear it should accommodate all those that are currently in BF1. I don't think in the grand scheme of things that the wheelchair platforms will have much if any impact on the UB's. Also those advocating safe standing shouldn't fret about this hindering safe standing because if anything this assist them as it removes an obstacle.

  6. This coming Tuesday at 10.30hrs, the Club AGM will be held(staged) at the Glasgow Auditorium. I am intent upon attending and like last year, will make annotations and provide a full report to the forum. There is a small interference running, immediately after the AGM I have a Christmas lunch booked at Pollok Juniors social club. I suspect it will be long and boozy. If I have managed to hold on to the necessary notes, I will get something up on Thursday? If you are attending, please support me on my two long running annual demands : 1. We treat our fellow Rangers supporters who happen to be disabled a lot better than we do so currently. 2. The Club do everything to send our magnificent support in to a state of frenzy, by setting a date for burning Graham Spiers at the stake. I suggest 15th December against Hibs at half time? It will keep everyone warm and the Club should sell cups of accelerant at £10 a pop to ensure Graham achieves extra crispy status and, the accrued funds should be donated to Erskine.

  7. I'm assuming all going well with planning etc that work will start at the end of tge season though there are factors outwith the Clubs control. I'd be happy enough to start in BF and do the wheelchair facilities and the cantilever before moving on to CF that would ensure any capacity reduction would be kept to a minimum and for the shortest possible duration. The works can actually be carried out during the season without too much disruption. Parking is a perennial problem I'm not sure it can ever be solved to everyones satisfaction. I think they'll be trying some things to make the current disabled parking arrangements work more efficiently. I presume there will be some increase in provision but to what extent I'm not certain. The collapse of the Albion sale altered what was planned re parking. There have been numerous Board members involved in this particularly over the last 12 months it would be remiss of me to single anyone out. There was a collective determination to address the situation at all levels.

  8. It isnt a typo mate. C1872 are in King's pocket... King doesnt like Park.... C1872 quite possibly been canvassing for this behind the scenes.

  13. Incredible that some people wanted to ask about lack of rangers Rubber Ducks for sale or Stadium closure during COVID instead of hot topics like the constant barrage of legal cases, or the ange homecoming tour. But hey they put up thier money they can ask stupid questions.

  14. Going by the commentary from various folk on Twitter it seems the quality of questions this year was incredibly bad. It's good news about the disabled facilities but not much clarity on any other serious issues that we've discussed of late. At least we'll have club football to talk about again over the coming week. Just in time for a raft of postponements for the forecast Baltic weather...

  20. See this hoppitty-skippitty stuff from Lewandowski and Bruno Fernandez - leave it to the rabbits. OK, now and then the ‘Keeper is mesmerised but more often it’s the kicker himself who gets confused. Johnny Hubbard wrote the book on penalty taking. Low and hard to the corner of the net. Not all penalty takers are confident or skilful enough to do that so just blast the ball. The ‘Keeper may get lucky but not often. In penalty shootouts that’s what the lower order does and it appears to work. The frontline “craftsmen” seem more likely to miss or be saved. No doubt some statto can tell me this is nonsense. The top order take more penalties so they are bound to miss more often and other factors. If so just shut up. This is my theory and I’m sticking to it. NOTE: The only Croat to fail in the penalty shootout against Japan was the one who tried to be clever and demonstrated how to beat the ‘keeper but hit he post NOTE 2: Bloody Neymar.

  21. So basically, Kamara is maybe going, or maybe staying depending on which WhatsApp group your part off and Kent and Alfie are in discussions but asking for too much money. Worth noting Kent's partner has not long purchased stables close to their current home. So if Kent goes, we might have an option on the horses.

  22. Yip, the AGM was a damp squid but I suppose rubber ducks are far more important than law suits, spiralling costs of NEH, detailed 5 year business plan etc......

  23. After reading the transcript from the AGM, again I wonder (resolutions apart) what the point of the AGM is? Even with the resolutions, I don't see the point. I could have written most of the answers in less than 5 minutes. I hope Park is voted out. No doubt a Rangers man with the club at heart, invested to keep the lights on etc. etc. But not the right man for Chairman of the club. Slim to no chance though.

  29. Truth be told, even though he had his injury problems too, I couldn't understand Gio's decision to let him go. Helander and Souttar were even more unreliable in the here and now, and Goldson was essentially gone. On hindsight, giving the latter a new deal (and 4 years at that) was even stranger.

  31. Sorry if you think that but when a player scores then signals to his team mates to follow him to a corner it is not then a spontaneous celebration of the goal, and with VAR such scenes may be of no use. I went to a "B" team game v leicester where the crowd may only have been a couple of thousand and watched the Leicester team score 6 goals and run to a corner, devoid of fans, each time---not entertaining in any way. I go to games to see the football and if I am considered on a slope to misery it might be as a result of our play which by the way I hope is better under Beale.

  35. It really is that simple. C1872 have tried to muddy the situation in support of King's ongoing war with Park, but it all boils down to them trying to prevent the board from having the ability to raise cash. They didn't do it for any of the previous few years, but have decided to do it this year as it's what King wants. The board of C1872 get the sheep to vote as they want them to vote. They have enough influence or proxies to sway any vote their way.

  36. I enjoy the whole shimmy routine, with the taker trying to outfox the keeper (as a neutral, I'd be far too nervous to watch one of ours do it!), it adds to the theatre. And speaking of theatre, the celebrations are great too, football getting dragged into the entertainment industry, despite the alf garnetts.

  41. Heard today that Beale cancelled the behind closed door friendly for two reasons. Firstly to have more time with the players in the training pitch (fitness) and that he is travelling to World Cup as we are scouting 2 potential January signings. Don't know how true this is, just passing in what I heard 😀
    1 point
  42. There's no doubt Beale will know exactly how Rangers have been performing since he left. What he says in press conferences and interviews, regarding players, isn't necessarily what he thinks. You'd have to be a bit naive not to realise that.
