  1. Just ordered a Rangers hoody. They can put that towards the next Glen Kamara. All aboard.

  3. Next manager was obviously always going to be a BIG decision and if it is to be Beale, I reckon they have got it wrong. In mitigation, I think the board had limited scope given various circumstances, especially finance. Would imagine there will be a bounce, as happened this time last year with GvB, but this squad will return to their inconsistent ways soon enough. How long does it last and does it include beating Celtic twice, including the League Cup Final ? A year ago he was the first team coach and Gerrard was the manager of this squad who were losing their way. Now we seem to be thinking the coach (without the manager) will be able to turn things around, with more or less the same players who are a year older, have mostly gone backwards, are in and out of the treatment room and have lost their way again. Some clubs might get away with it, but Rangers need a manager who has a lot of qualities that I don't think Beale has. Gerrard was a big name, as a player miles better than anyone he had at Ibrox, respected, a real leader and took on responsibility naturally. I don't think you can get blood out of a stone (this squad), although he will be expected to. I don't think Beale will be able to handle what will come down the line.

  5. Yeah, seems to be a lazy choice. They seem to have gone with FF's popular choice on the last 2 selections rather than taking time and interviewing a number of candidates. I wanted Beale rather than Gio, but I don't think he's the right person at this point. The players need a fresh face and someone who's going to install discipline and that's not Beale. We're largely stuck with the current squad and there's not going to because massive refresh as we obviously don't have the cash for it. Hopefully Beale will prove me wrong and he'll turn things around, but I'm underwhelmed at the moment.

  6. Nail on head. His opposition to Resolution 8 is particularly galling given how big a part the equivalent previous resolutions have played in harvesting investment into the Club especially at the beginning of regime change. He has no intention of investing another penny in us but seems determined to stop others from doing so in case it lessens the chances of recouping his money in the shorter term.

  9. I wonder what the net profit or loss on merchandise is since 2015, including the money that has been spent one way or tuther on court cases. We (mostly DK I think) have taken a legacy issue dating from pre 2015 regime change and seemed to make it worse.

  11. And sometimes with penalty clauses that might even increase the amount paid I would say these people who are responsible are not fit for purpose this could be very costly and damaging.

  12. Still are, compo. That’s why Rangers got into trouble with Ashley and may now be in a bit of bother with Elite/Hummel.

  13. I havent read the annual report in all honesty mate but the suit would normally be considered a contingent liability - however, this lawsuit looks like it is fairly fresh - in which case it is more likely to be referenced in the notes to the financials rather than actually accounted for. Too unknown at such an early stage to include as a liability.

  14. Sound quality is terrible. If Dave King is such a smart guy maybe he shouldn't use a potato as a microphone. My pet hate is people using laptop speakers for calls. Its 2022.

  15. Iran definitely deserved the win, they were far hungrier in the second half and actually played some not bad stuff. Does this makes England's performance in the first game a bit more impressive? I had discounted it heavily as I thought Iran were garbage, and they still conceded 2 goals. I suppose we will see how England are shaping up after tonight's game. Having watched just about all the games so far, I have really only been impressed with France & Spain, with decent mentions for Brazil and England. A lot of the bigger teams (Argentina, Germany, Holland,) need to get their act together quickly to have an impact.
