  3. A bit, aye. If we maintained some of Struth's philosophies, I doubt we could compete nowadays. It's the same as a lot of things, you pick the best bits, ignore the ones that aren't beneficial and try to stay relevant/competitive.

  4. I'm a church going Presbyterian who is proud to be Scottish and British who supports Rangers. To me these aren't necessarily linked to others they will be linked. I'm not afraid to champion all of the above, but they are my personal opinions which I chose not to "force" on others.

  5. I switched on to hear about football and received a half hour morality lecture from Lineker and the BBC. Bunch of slimy bastards

  6. I think throughout this topic there's been a willing escape into generalities, mostly poorly defined, rather than any useful indication of values or attributes that are specifically bound to the Rangers identity. It's becoming hard to deny that, at least for many fans, there actually is no discernible Rangers brand identity .... or at best that it's confused and superficial. I find what might be described as an identity crisis to be very revealing at a fundamental level. I'm surprised, I thought it would be a more productive exercise.

  7. Watched it on the you tube thing with no sound. Some of the voice interpretation was hilarious. What impressed me was how the youngsterswere able to dribble with the ball(both sides) and with no aimless high balls by our team. A well deserved victory for our youngsters.

  9. I think that the ubiquity of these 'values' makes them worthless as part of any individual club brand or identity.

  12. Probably not. But it’s only one part of your brand. And ultimately it’s about how we live up to these statements that is what will define an organisation.

  16. No, if you read my replies further back, traditions should be embraced and continued. Not mutually exclusive.

  18. I'd say most posters on this thread have covered one or two of the same things. It's what the majority of Bears think and also how the neutral observers (noted when reading foreign articles) and our enemies see us: Protestant and British. Some Bears don't want to be associated with these two things, others are just a bit uncomfortable with it but most are quite proud of it.
