As a fan, I can express frustration when I am increasingly frustrated. What I can’t do as a fan is “contribute” in any way to where we go from here.5 points

I fail to see why a banner that basically says "Kill all Protestants" is inoffensive, and why it's not a huge issue. "Kill all blacks" or "Kill all Jews" would quite rightly be front page news and it shows a certain amount of bigotry by the press and politicians for it to be largely ignored. There's an ongoing campaign for the "Hun" slur and therefore sectarianism to be normalised. We saw the sinister hanging of Protestant effigies being largely ignored. Banter? I think not.4 points

Wish the WC lasted a lot longer, in all honesty. A few weeks off from watching Rangers feels like a relief.4 points

Out of those you listed only Goldson and Hagi have ever been regular and contributing well. Roofe is a waste of a squad place, Davies seems to be another Roofe and Sakala is clearly not favoured by Gio nor has he made an impact recently despite showing up well. Lawrence would be good to get back but he is another the club are basically closing down comms on and pretending he doesn't exist for some reason. These players coming back doesn't fix our dreadful defending at corners and throw ins, our clear lack of attacking capability at attacking set pieces and throw ins, our possession heavy low impact style, our dreadful away record under this coaching staff, our habitual reverting to crossing constantly when we run out of ideas after 20 minutes. Not to mention we have so many players dropping like flies right now that there is no guarantee any of these guys dont get injured again in the short term. This idea that getting a few players back from injury is going to fix our problems is lunacy. We have 4 games before the transfer window opens and we will not take full points. Including trips to Dingwall and Aberdeen which cost us last season with a near full compliment of players to chose from. As the league will pretty much be over I doubt we will bring in anyone over the window as there isn't really much point given we'll have a manager on the way out and a team going through the motions. It looks like all the eggs are going in next seasons basket.2 points

Quite clear he is going nowhere and the board are going to have him Murty through the season. They have written this season off by not removing him a few weeks back. Going to be fun having a re run of the pre Gerrard days. When Gerrard left we had an international break to move quickly, get a new manager in and have a LC Semi against Hibs to win. They took forever with the process and the result was a capitulation at Hampden. Definition of insanity etc etc2 points

Would it be ok if the banner text was “Kill all Rangers Supporters”?2 points

In previous eras, those marvellous days of cash at the turnstiles, and standing on the terracing, fans could certainly influence affairs, by the simple expedient of voting with the feet, staying away to demonstrate their disgruntlement, thus hitting the cash flow. Amazingly, this did not require any organization, at all (and, after the 1976 Licensing Law reforms, folk could stay in the boozer on a Saturday afternoon, watching the racing and the Rugby League). Nowadays, the season ticket money is already 'in', and may not be withdrawn, at least not with any ease. It seems to me difficult, let's say emotionally, for the fan to disengage from other initiatives set up, ostensibly, to reward 'loyalty' but operating by hoovering more money from his wallet, with the benefit to him of being allowed to spend even more money on more tickets. The days of consumer sovereignty -if you don't like, don't buy- are, for the most part history. Timothy, riots. I am not sure that this is an acceptable option for the 'vast majority' of the support. Thus, the notion of having a supporters' group, or company, owning shares has attraction, and is, at face value, and all other things being equal, a good way to ensure influence at boardroom level. The present personification of this, looking from the outside, seems to have suffered from, ahem, misdirection, and may have, effectively, queered the pitch for such initiatives for some time. More intrigue, jealousies, personal ambitions, manipulations, maladroitness, backstabbing, etc. than there is in the Tory Party is not a 'good look'. The options left involve 'demonstrations' before and during matches, boycotting particular match(es), which has its own difficulties, as we know, 'campaigns' in the media, particularly social media. Whether a Board would pay such initiatives, especially the social media stuff, any attention, whatsoever, is moot. Ultimately, with the finacial levers no longer significant, and with the fan shareholding vehicle unrepresentative, stuck up its own fundament and feeling the need to yodel to and fro with consummate shit stirrer, all that is left are the various outlets for outrage, and these are channels only for opinion. To harness them requires a congruence of that opinion, and organisation of it, and therein lie the difficulties. Has the support reached the tipping point of opinion on whether or not to ditch the Dutch? I am inclined to the view (although standing to be corrected, of course) that the answer is, despite how awful the season has been, generally, in the negative. If such opinion can be measured, can the support act in concert? What does experience tell us? Of course, if all was going swimmingly (and even allowing for the customary plethora of views on what 'swimmingly' means and entails), gey few would be complaining, and even fewer demanding change.2 points

The board are the main players here. I certainly don't hold gio solely accountable. Poor decision making when it comes to our squad has left us high and dry. As for Gio... as a manager he just does not learn by his mistakes. To go to the scum dome and get humiliated, continue with the same tactics the next visit and get humiated again was too much for me. This job is too big for him. Other than a couple of performances in the Europa league we have been consistently poor over the last 12 months. He has no grasp on scottish football and never will. When he does go others should go with him. From a position of sheer strength in the summer we are now a laughing stock. And what are we doing? Sitting in silence. I thank the board for backing the club in our time of need but don't forget to take the fans into account. They have ploughed millions into the club as well. The board seem to have adopted the same plan as liewell did at paedo city, profit over performance, and we seen what happened with that2 points

An expensive memento, and one totally unnecessary, as the event is seared permanently into the memory of all those unfortunate enough to have witnessed it. And it wisnae even signed!! It can only have been aimed at the fhilth's own Rangers' obsessives. i m o.1 point

If the board truly believe Gio is the man to take us forward, I'd invite them to tell the fan base their reasons for seeing Gio as the manager to win us the SPFL title and make a constant fist of European football. In fact, I'd say the boards continued reluctance to engage with the fans is arrogant and ignorant in the extreme. A couple of car-crash interviews then radio silence doesn't constitute engagement. Enough of my moaning, I'm away to purchase a dozen copies of the Rangers v Liverpool panoramic photos....1 point

I get the impression the board will allow GvB to carry on until early January including the yahoos game when we’ll have some players back from injury by then presumably. After then they’ll make a decision.1 point

Excellent article. Changing manager right now when we are so loaded down with crap players who need replacing is crazy imo. I have said before Pep or Klopp could not do better than Gio with our broken squad and I still believe that. 🔴⚪🔵 Gio1 point

I'd agree wholeheartedly with that, tactically some of his stuff last season in the EL against some bloody good teams was a joy. He just doesn't look like he inspires when we need something else though, when the sleeves need rolled up, or when we face 10 behind the ball. The difference in the CL isn't that we're up against hugely better sides IMO, it's that our confidence is gone, completely. And injuries, natch.1 point

Gio is a tactician, a decent football mind, but he does not provide the leadership required to push an injury riddled squad forward. Many people say that their wage, and the increase of market worth per player should be enough, it is not. Gio gives no spark. I have never spent a second in the man's presence, but I know men. He motivates, no one. He manages, he provides tactics, he provides training in those tactics...but he is sterile...a breathing text. I think Gio will find his place at a high level club as a number two. I think that would be his best fit. I think this season has exposed many things, most of all, his leadership.1 point

Surely there must eventually come a point when it becomes clear to everyone that endlessly describing the current situation is making zero contribution to where we go from here.1 point
