Looking forward to it. ps. Can admin @Rousseau change the spelling in the title, it is doing my nut in 😀3 points

Over time the details go a bit hazy but that article is a chilling reminder of the suffering inflicted on ordinary people by the RA and it makes it all the more sickening that they are being celebrated in our country today.2 points

I doubt anyone believes the captain is fine. Grimacing in warm ups, unable to play twenty yard passes, losing physical duels, a yard slower than before and taking less set-pieces don't suggest someone is fit. This is surely more than a loss of form unfortunately?2 points

I think the starting line up will tell a lot of how secure GVB currently feels his position is.... If you see a strong, barely rotated team, I think thats him trying to protect his job from any possible slip up2 points

Not sure if Kamara remains injured so perhaps more likely to be Sands but I think the American may play instead of Davies if he did indeed pick up a knock last week.2 points

It could be that a confidential out-of-court settlement has been reached. Best to get it out of the way anyway and not having management time focusing on something time-consuming that's overseas. Most of them were driven by King, were they not? His ego had a lot to answer for.2 points

What a lovely autumnal framed depiction of Ibrox? We should send it to BBC Scotland, prove there is an alternative to their preferred mind set of winter freeze.2 points

We have to increase revenue medium to long term. That requires investment. Not allocating more money to the Playing budget has consequences but the board need to look further ahead, as well as the present.2 points

Hi folks Got an episode coming up with Willie Johnston. I have a million things I’d love to ask him, but I was looking for some fan questions, if you have anything you would love to ask him, fire it in the replies and il put them to him!!!1 point

I know, I spent 12 months over there on two tours (West Belfast and the Easterly Border). Like any such conflict, it is mostly about perception, loyalty/patriotism and the ability to block out the uncomfortable detail. The article posted earlier today brings into sharp focus the horrors and attrocities of what the IRA actually did, just as any such list that comes from conflicts. It reminded me of the Iraq cables published by wikileaks.1 point

By way of supplementary, what did Craig say to you when you ruffled his hair after his own goal at Parkhead?1 point

Frankie, Taking up your invitation. 1. You played in a wonderfully entertaining West Brom side managed by Ron Atkinson. Laurie Cunningham, Cyrille Regis, Brendon Batson, ..... et al - Would Alfie Conn been a better fit for that side as opposed to Spurs? 2. Ron Atkinson or Jock Wallace? 3. When you sat on the ball against Celtic in the League Cup final, what did you say to Jim Craig?1 point

It's the spineless manner in which we lose that most have a gripe with. Gio continually perseveres with tactics and players that just aren't working. He's fortunate the quality of our league is so poor.1 point

If he is the real deal, he won't be with us for long enough to do much with us. Barring injury, I'm fairly sure he'll have a stellar career in the game.1 point

I thought the presser by Leon King was impressive. He conducts himself with composure for an 18 year old and hints at having the character to build a real future at Rangers. I hope he makes it.1 point

We have previous for it. Morelos eventually broke and was out for months.1 point

Great player, Johnston but I’d pick Henderson and Wilson before him probably even Scott if he had the right inside forward with him.1 point

Good news is that Lowry is to play part of a B team game today ! 🎉1 point

I agree, but what I referred to wasn't a legacy contract. It was a new agreement that was signed up to by the then board, with King at the head.1 point

In terms of statements etc, we're a lot better under Park. His ongoing feud on the cinch deal and allegedly looking for an apology does seem childish though.1 point

I don't have too much of a issue with Irish people wanting a united Ireland, although I disagree with them. I do have a problem with anyone singing the praises of a terrorist organisation, that was responsible for the deaths of Scottish and British people, whilst they are residing in or visiting the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The press/political set backlash to 'up the 'Ra' seems far less animated than those relating to a song which states a simple fact and then asks a reasonable question of the very same people who wish to turn a blind eye to or indeed join in with the 'up the 'Ra' chant. Must be weird living in a country you hate (and a few of the RoI women's team do reside in the UK).1 point

Yes, the US angle is simply a known unknown for us punters. Any agreement(s) will probably have an NDA attached, so the mystery may stay that way. Regards Dave King, there was a couple of false dawn's regards the attempted uncoupling of the SD legacy issue. It looks to me as if he relished the challenge of taking on Ashely / SD and got his (our) fingers burnt. The new contract we signed with Ashley didn't do what we announced it would do. Ultimately, taking on the expensive Ashely legal juggernaut wasn't wise. Even when we had a good morning in court (Justice Smith/London), King bigged it up with journalists at the lunchtime and the first thing Justice Smith said in the afternoon session was that King had been too hasty.1 point

An enigma. I get it he has a business to run and doesn't want to be in the limelight. As much as a figure like King has his faults our club needs a figurehead like him. Willing to stand up and be counted, a public 'face' of the club. We don't have that right now.1 point

That's irrelevant. It's a perfect opportunity regardless of what move you make, because you've got another pre-season, out of nowhere.1 point

Generally, we have been prolific with bullish statements but it hasn't often finished well. The Ashely episode being a long term example that loosely mirrored the 90 minutes last week against Liverpool.1 point

Aye, but "perfect opportunity", only if you can adequately replace him.1 point

This World Cup is the perfect opportunity to replace a manager. I suspect we'll see a few managers sacked over the next month.1 point

I'd be content setting up with two banks of five in Naples. And can someone tell our players it's okay to get a yellow card if it stops the opposition scoring (maybe Lundstram's red card at Easter Road has made them think otherwise).1 point

Such is our strength, we operate stealthily and in the open. Have you seen who runs our beloved Gersnet??1 point

Can’t help thinking GvB is the symptom rather than the cause. I do wonder about our DoF and whether he is signing players without fully consulting the manager1 point

"Oh, the Irish Ladies sang Paddy McGinty's Goat". After capitulating on our own midden 1-7 to Liverpool in the Champions League group stages last midweek, BBC Scotland gave us both barrels. It is not unexpected, five years of improving the Scottish coefficient single handedly, reaching last season's Europa Cup final and, surviving four CL qualifiers this season to secure group status; all conveniently ignored in the rush to bury Rangers again. I think Tom English has attempted to be fair in his analysis, pointing out we were 1-1 with last season's defeated CL finalists on the hour mark but could not cope with Liverpool's increasing pressure in the second half. I thought Goldson's injury absence was the main reason? The other end of the spectrum has Liam McLeod cramming in as many references to the thrashing in a Motherwell-Rangers commentary to RAB Cosgrove, just being RAB Cosgrove. On Saturday, Off the Ball had a Dundee United supporter as a guest, David Hamilton. He had sold his computer gaming company for in excess of £100 million and was now a Director at Brechin City. RAB asked him if he had watched the game? He told of Liverpool being his English side and really enjoyed the match and the outcome. RAB who NEVER watched any of the last four years Rangers Euro encounters(we know this because he continually told us so) appears to have micro viewed the English traveling support. RAB liked the Scousers goading the Rangers support by waving marmalade sandwiches? Apparently, this was a Paddington Bear and recently deceased Monarch reference? RAB lamented the interference running on Rangers thrashing due to the Irish Ladies defeating Scotland and, their post match celebrations at Hampden dominating the front pages. Dundee United supporter utters, "eh"? RAB replies, "oh, the Irish Ladies sang Paddy McGinty's Goat". The Nationalist RAB decides to protect fellow Nationalists by lying. The Irish Ladies belted out several choruses of, 'oh ah up the RA', a lionisation of a proscribed terrorist organisation that murdered fellow Journalist, Lyra McKee in 'Derry just three years ago. An organisation that detonated the Harrods Christmas bomb on the Saturday before Christmas(the busiest shopping day of the year) with barely 30 minuets warning some 39 years past. This is significant because last year, RAB told us his cousin, Philip was one of the six murdered that day. His wife was one of the ninety injured. Why did RAB choose Paddy McGinty's Goat? The song was penned in 1917 by two English songwriters, Lee and Weston. The original lyrics were patriotic, it was during World War One and McGinty's goat fought off German U-Boats at the Irish coast and accompanied the Irish Guards during battles on the western front. The IRA would have held a show trial before butchering the poor beast. RAB is a month away from entering his eighth decade, his hate has withered his mind. RAB broadcasts this vile content as a sop to all his Irish republican fan base. Regularly, he tells of Gerry Braiden, Big Kev'(Kevin McKenna, Angela Haggerty, Susie McCabe, ......... all being BIG, BIG fans of the show. Last Sunday, he was unhappy with the reaction of some of his fellow PQers to St Johnstone conceding a five minutes into injury time winner to ra Sellik, "aye that Sally Magnusson was sounding off". The Witch Finder had exposed another surviving Rangers supporter. Worse still, several sources revealed half a dozen 14/15 year year old girls working in the refreshment kiosks at the away end of McDairmid Park had to be rescued from attack and escorted through the concourse by Police. RAB made no mention, he is prepared to sacrifice the fear of early teenage girls of his home town to placate his Irish republican pals' sensitivities. RAB supports St Johnstone, only when his support does not upset his more important balaclava clad buddies. He will lie and ignore on their behalf.1 point
