Tillman brought the necessary to the game to get the 3 points when no one else looked like doing so. It was also notable how much he got involved in the rough and tumble. He seemed determined not to be kept on the periphery and although he wasn't very good at it, it signalled a willingness.4 points

I've seen us play better against Motherwell and drop points.3 points

Le Guen was the only Rangers manager who recognised what Adam could bring and used it.2 points

Adam was another management failing, for me. Shoehorned into a wingers position, when he's slow as stop. Always had a good left-foot. Flourished when he was put into a deep-lying playmaker's position.2 points

For me we don't have to produce Fergusons, Huttons, Pattersons etc for the youth system to be a success. Even if we can produce guys who are good enough to be squad players for a few years and help support our squad to silverware then that's value add. Mo Ross, Chris Burke and Boab Malcolm are good examples of this. Say what you like about them as players but all have some medals to show for it. Charlie Adam was similar for us but went on to better success elsewhere.2 points

We were god awful . Every last player was poor. Tav is injured and still playing for some reason. Playing poorly i might add. Awful management.2 points

Yup, Davies for me. You can see why we spent a decent chunk of change on him. Looks calm and composed. Hopefully we can keep him fit. His partnership with young King was a positive from yesterday. Both can step out and pass the ball out and build attacks. Davies and Goldson when both fit will make a great pairing.2 points

His positioning was fine until he stepped forward and lost the flight of the ball. Should have been comfortable take with or without the sun in his eyes. Also, lead up to the freekick Tav should have found found the back of the stand and cleared rather than trying to be to cute.2 points

An alternative view on how the season had panned out thus far. - We have qualified for the Champions League group stages for the first time since 2007. - We are 2 points of the top of the league after 10 games - won 8, lost 1 (a hammering) and 1 x draw which should have been a win but for some very questionable refereeing. - we've won 4 league games in a row for the first time in 2022. - We continue to suffer from horrendous injuries. Hagi, Helander, Roofe, Soutar, Goldson, Jack, Lowry, Lawrence (that's 8 potential starters) all still out and we've had Alfie returning from injury. Whilst I wouldn't be against Gio being replaced (but only with someone who would be seen as an "upgrade", the above are good / sound reasons for him NOT being removed from his position at this time. If we win all our domestic games between now and the WC break we'll be in a great position. If we don't, the calls for Gio to be replaced will intensify and may become too loud for the board to ignore......1 point

Zak Rudden seems to be scoring for Dundee. 4 in 11 league games. Still only 22 but pretty bald already IIRC. Bald footballers rare these days.1 point

"Oh, the Irish Ladies sang Paddy McGinty's Goat". After capitulating on our own midden 1-7 to Liverpool in the Champions League group stages last midweek, BBC Scotland gave us both barrels. It is not unexpected, five years of improving the Scottish coefficient single handedly, reaching last season's Europa Cup final and, surviving four CL qualifiers this season to secure group status; all conveniently ignored in the rush to bury Rangers again. I think Tom English has attempted to be fair in his analysis, pointing out we were 1-1 with last season's defeated CL finalists on the hour mark but could not cope with Liverpool's increasing pressure in the second half. I thought Goldson's injury absence was the main reason? The other end of the spectrum has Liam McLeod cramming in as many references to the thrashing in a Motherwell-Rangers commentary to RAB Cosgrove, just being RAB Cosgrove. On Saturday, Off the Ball had a Dundee United supporter as a guest, David Hamilton. He had sold his computer gaming company for in excess of £100 million and was now a Director at Brechin City. RAB asked him if he had watched the game? He told of Liverpool being his English side and really enjoyed the match and the outcome. RAB who NEVER watched any of the last four years Rangers Euro encounters(we know this because he continually told us so) appears to have micro viewed the English traveling support. RAB liked the Scousers goading the Rangers support by waving marmalade sandwiches? Apparently, this was a Paddington Bear and recently deceased Monarch reference? RAB lamented the interference running on Rangers thrashing due to the Irish Ladies defeating Scotland and, their post match celebrations at Hampden dominating the front pages. Dundee United supporter utters, "eh"? RAB replies, "oh, the Irish Ladies sang Paddy McGinty's Goat". The Nationalist RAB decides to protect fellow Nationalists by lying. The Irish Ladies belted out several choruses of, 'oh ah up the RA', a lionisation of a proscribed terrorist organisation that murdered fellow Journalist, Lyra McKee in 'Derry just three years ago. An organisation that detonated the Harrods Christmas bomb on the Saturday before Christmas(the busiest shopping day of the year) with barely 30 minuets warning some 39 years past. This is significant because last year, RAB told us his cousin, Philip was one of the six murdered that day. His wife was one of the ninety injured. Why did RAB choose Paddy McGinty's Goat? The song was penned in 1917 by two English songwriters, Lee and Weston. The original lyrics were patriotic, it was during World War One and McGinty's goat fought off German U-Boats at the Irish coast and accompanied the Irish Guards during battles on the western front. The IRA would have held a show trial before butchering the poor beast. RAB is a month away from entering his eighth decade, his hate has withered his mind. RAB broadcasts this vile content as a sop to all his Irish republican fan base. Regularly, he tells of Gerry Braiden, Big Kev'(Kevin McKenna, Angela Haggerty, Susie McCabe, ......... all being BIG, BIG fans of the show. Last Sunday, he was unhappy with the reaction of some of his fellow PQers to St Johnstone conceding a five minutes into injury time winner to ra Sellik, "aye that Sally Magnusson was sounding off". The Witch Finder had exposed another surviving Rangers supporter. Worse still, several sources revealed half a dozen 14/15 year year old girls working in the refreshment kiosks at the away end of McDairmid Park had to be rescued from attack and escorted through the concourse by Police. RAB made no mention, he is prepared to sacrifice the fear of early teenage girls of his home town to placate his Irish republican pals' sensitivities. RAB supports St Johnstone, only when his support does not upset his more important balaclava clad buddies. He will lie and ignore on their behalf.1 point

We've produced "decent" players over the years, but a big failing is the inability to utilise them in the first-team. McCormack played against Inter Milan (albeit with an injury crisis, I think?), so you think, surely he can come off the bench regularly, with the odd start against the diddies? He just disappeared. John Fleck was a big miss, for me.1 point

I think we have a perhaps 0.01% chance of winning it with Gio in charge. Even then it would need celtc to lose their manager.1 point

Daies or Tillman, went for Davies. We really need his stability at the back today and things could have been difficult for us.1 point

Andrew Shinnie came through at about the same time as Craig Halket. The brother of Graeme has had a reasonable career. Both have been called up to the Scotland squad. Andrew actually started a match against Luxembourg. Ross McCormick had a few appearances for Ranges and even scored an important Champions League group stage goal, but we released him around 2006. He would go on to cost eight figure transfer fees twice.1 point

Davies was my MotM with another composed performance. Just a pity we're not going to see him develop a partnership with Connor Goldson any time soon as I think that would really have helped us at the back - especially with Tav far from fit.1 point

I think it was more that the free kick just too well placed/lucky than a a huge error from McGregor. Wouldn't completely excuse the keeper though and he is collecting a fair collection of errors over the last few games. Goalkeeper has become a problem position. Not really a huge surprise and another position where the thought process behind squad management didn't make much sense. The worst effort of a save that I have ever seen came at almost exactly the same place as the McKinstry goal entered the net. Cammy Bell in 2015, I still shudder at the thought of it.1 point

If we collect maximum premier league points between now and the WC, I will be amazed and surprised.1 point

I'm well aware results may not be the most important factor but it must be one of the measures used when assessing progress. Otherwise what is the point of the games, why not just coach and play among yourselves. If results don't matter then why the celebrations when be taste success in various tournaments ?1 point

I hope so. Arfield displsyed more intent in 45 mins on Wednesday than Tillman has shown all season. He's just too slow and ponderous. He's also weak physically IMO. One major post script from Wednesday was the difference in physicality between Liverpool and us. We were bouncing off their players like wee boys. Even Colak looked feeble against their CBs.1 point

Like everyone, I wanted CL football this season. Going forward, I ain't so sure but whilst it is guarranteed for SPFL winners, we very much have to go for it. The gulf in prizemoney between CL and EL won't be that great whilst our 10 year co-efficent is relatively low and we lose all our games. Nor will our 10 year co-efficent improve much when we get beat every match day. The other proviso being that we do fairly well in the EL. Hearts..................... 2 x (4-0 defeats) Motherwell............. 2 defeats to Sligo Rovers Dundee United...... 7-0 defeat Rangers.................. 7-1, 4-0, 3-0, 2-0 Celtic...................... No wins Games Played : 22 (8) Goals For : 14 (7) Goals Against : 54 (20) (Rangers numbers in brackets)1 point

And the Sportscene presenter couldn't even bring himself to say the name of the club whose fans who sang through the minute's silence in Paisley. I think Rangers should revert to non-communication with BBC, until they decide to at least attempt a bit of impartiality.1 point

"Lizzie's in a Box". On Saturday last, Ibrox settled to a planned minutes silence for the passing of our country's Monarch these last seventy years. Queen Elizabeth's death has witnessed an outpouring of emotion not seen since World War Two. The last Monarch, George vi passed in 1952; there is little to no collective memory. Ten days of mourning is NOT a huge demand for someone who provided daily service everyday for in excess of 70 years. Think about it, four hours of dispatch box administration every morning beginning at 07.30hrs; including Christmas day, Birthdays, Honeymoon, ................. etc, over 25,000 consecutive days. Truly, a life of service. Whether your belief systems include Constitutional Monarchy or not, you have to respect the unflinching dedication to the roles of Head of State, Head of the Commonwealth and, Head of Established Church. An elderly woman died aged 96, a Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, wife, sister, ...... etc; all running interference on unquestioning service. Surely, a minute's contemplative silence is not an unreasonable request? As the players took position on the centre circle the booing began within the several hundred Dundee United supporters. As the Referee blew the whistle to begin the silence, the away section broke into four or five choruses of, "Lizzie's in a Box". The culmination of the silence was marked by the first verse of the National Anthem. As God Save the King finished, BBC Radio Scotland commentator, Liam McLeod admitted interruption of the silence then added, "it is impossible to say which part of the ground the interruption to the minutes silence came from". Disinformation in 18 words. Dundee United issued a statement after the game. It outlined the Board had passed on received information to supporters but acknowledged, "a tiny minority of supporters did not respect the minute's silence". The statement contained no condemnation and no apology. BBC Scotland printed the statement but did not readdress Liam McLeod's ridiculous lie. From the position of the Ibrox gantry, Liam McLeod said, "it is impossible to say which part of the ground the interruption to the minute's silence came from". It is just another BIG LIE to emanate from BBC Scotland reference Rangers and Rangers supporters.1 point

I tend to agree with Stewart. For me, celtic are indeed going in the right direction when they suffer a defeat at home by a comfortable margin.1 point
