Gio has more important stuff to sort out. We need to be winning against provincial teams in a way that makes officials incidental.4 points

Call me a drama queen but if there is a big contract offer on the table for Morelos, I'd remove it and try and shift him before the end of the month.3 points

He gave us the benefit of the doubt on penalty decisions at both ends in the first half. Strange that, if he has it in for us. Naw, Collum is a particular type of ref, but he isn't a cheat. Our problems lie closer to home and domestically, I can see something similar to last season, only worse.3 points

I agree. Even if you go down to eight men, you should leave one up the park at set pieces. Hibs are a really crap team. I think they might end up in a relegation battle, they're that bad.3 points

Haven’t seen any of it but it looks as if they had a go. I was fearing five. Is it send off the Protestants weekend? Might it be mandatory for the rest of the season?2 points

To be fair to Matondo, he's pretty much where we would expect him to be this early in his Rangers career, which is nowhere near the hype flying around him. He might well become a valued player but so far he isn't even close.2 points

I was not meaning that the Hibs player should have got a red card, yellow was correct. But our manager should be asking why our player was not judged by the same criteria as our opponent. The ref could not get his red card out quick enough.2 points

Seen a few hatchet jobs on Matondo over on FF too. He`s been here for a few months. The chap on the opposite side of the field, playing most games since signing, on the other hand, can`t do wrong. He was, again, a no-show yesterday, and had it been Wright or Sakala and not Kent, they´d be ripped apart in no time.2 points

Matondo has a long way to go no matter what side he comes in from--he will have to learn how to tackle first or he will be of no use.His powder puff attempt yesterday led to Hibs going on and scoring.2 points

I think you refer to John Beaton, not Clancy.2 points

Collum is certainly arrogant and incompetent. I don't think he's a cheat but I don't watch enough games not involving Rangers to make a sound judgement on that. There was a Hibs game at Ibrox during the Pedro era (I think), which was still the worst refereeing display I have ever seen. Stokes wrestled Tav to the ground and Hibs got a free kick. Was that Clancy (I can't remember). Blaming the refs is a yahoo trait in my book. We should be beating teams like Hibs with or without a high standard of officiating.2 points

Collum has a particular style but it isn't exclusive to any particular team.2 points

Hate to say it but the football were serving up is just dull and dreich changes are required across the card .2 points

I couldn't watch this yesterday but I've just sat through it. The standard complaints apply up until 65 minutes. The team lacks an edge in attack and the refusal to shoot in great positions will continue to cost us. Despite that I thought we would still have enough to win. Collum was a disgrace. Lundstram should never have been sent off. As highlighted above there was a near identical (actually worse) foul by a Hibernian player in the first half. That one was punished by a yellow card. I think that the yellow card was consistent with just about every single similar incident that I have ever witnessed. So why did Willie Collum treat this particular one differently? We will never know. The management clearly understand that they are not in a position to change anything about the refereeing. The team needs to believe that it is up against the opposition and 4 hostile officials every week. It's not enough to win by a goal or two. The team has to put it out of sight so that no refereeing mistake can ever cost us the points.2 points

A public complaint would work if you had control of either the local sports media or the local football authority. We have neither.2 points

They would need to be asked for their opinion first and in Scotland the vast majority doing the asking are Celtic minded so we have a problem.2 points
-
Gerrard did it and got a pitch side suspension. Maybe we're doing it behind closed doors. Maybe no one is listening because Scotland is a country run by Scottish and Irish nationalist twats who despise everything about Rangers Football Club. Whining only works if you have certain characteristics. Not that I approve of that sort of thing anyway, as it's unbecoming of a man.2 points

Actually thought the manager choice to replace Kent with King was wrong. This gave us no out ball, should have went with either sakala or wright and kept them upfront. This would have meant them having to keep 2 back thus only giving them 1 man advantage when attacking.2 points

Our manager says the Lundstram sending off was “a wee bit harsh”. Pathetic response, no mention of Hibs player who got a yellow for the same tackle, may even been worse. Are we ever going to complain about these ridiculous decisions?1 point

When does this VAR start not that it will make any difference with the ninny’s that officiate at Scottish games but it should be a good laugh.1 point

No argument from me he was poor yesterday but he will need games to develop. We can’t go out and buy a Skov Olsen or an Antony, or a Cody Gakpo.1 point

Anyone who thinks the likes of Kevin Clancy, Willie Callum, Frank Conner, Alan Mulvaney, Don Robertson will change their mind after the usual mind blowing decisions because VAR is available is a much better man than me.1 point

He certainly did his bit at the Piggery today.1 point

I think Collum does his inept best without too much obvious bias. When he sees what he thinks is a red card incident, instead of reaching for the ticket, he needs to walk over to the scene of the crime, thinking as he goes and make the decision on arrival. A few seconds of contemplation always beats impetuousity.1 point

You said you have never seen him referee a game not involving Rangers so I would imagine it difficult for you to make such comparisons. Scottish referees regularly get things wrong. It is not just Scottish footballers who have went downhill over the past decades. If you want to say he is a cheat, get off the fence and just come out with it. The only referee who gives me bad vibes is Clancy.1 point

I said, he has a particular style and it isn't aimed at any particular team. The first real controversy I can remember involving Collum and a Rangers match was when the darkside went apoplectic with rage and he was accused of awarding us a penalty (foul on Broadfoot) without seeing it (ie. he was looking other way). It was amusing. I am sure every side in the top flight will have their own list.1 point

Very difficult to source the best version of Morelos, even when he is here. He won't command a really big fee whenever he goes.1 point

A big problem is we're set up to defend but our defending isn't very good.1 point

And needlessly giving the ball away under no pressure 😎1 point

If you have to ask, you will never know. You may may choose to call it incompetence, I couldn't possibly......1 point

Morelos peaked at Ibrox after coming back from an international break in January this year...for about a month before he had to start playing through an injury. He was playing with a level of touch that was real class and a maturity/responsibility. He looked like the player we all hoped he'd develop into. Had he continued in that vein, I think we win the Europa League. It would have been a fitting way for him to go all the way in a competition he has done so well in for several years. The injury was one of those unfortunate things that football can throw in your face. Now, he seems to have forgotten about the maturity/responsibility and has reset back to the beginning.1 point

Oh and let's bin the statue nonsense and leave it to the cult-like yahoos.1 point

Ramsey's penalty was saved. He didn't miss. I'd hate to have to take a penalty in any circumstance, never mind in a European final. I'm sure Aaron Ramsey would have loved to have scored it and played a part in us bringing the trophy home. It doesn't do anyone any good to keep dragging it up.1 point
