3 pts. Job done. We move on and try to learn from that. Livi is always a tough game on that shitty pitch at anytime of the season, so to get the desired 3pts on the opening day with players missing, new and rusty players etc. is ok with me. Will we improve? Of course we will but we need to keep winning at all costs.4 points

Surely I get MotM for slating Arfield and summoning the good juju?4 points

Have the sheep ever taken points of Separate Entity FC?4 points

They double up on Kent everytime he gets the ball and we're doing nothing to counteract that, one blind alley afer another.4 points

Take away the shitshow 5 mins into the game and it would have felt much more like a dull but routine win. For whatever reason, Souttar looked like the shirt was too heavy for him and Barisic started all over the place. Souttar is better than that but like many before him it looks like he will need some time to settle in. Barisic, to his credit, knuckled down and turned in a decent second half, which helped support Kent. As you say, 3 points, however achieved, is mission accomplished. Football isn't always pretty.3 points

Deservedly critical of the team at half-time but tempo was better after the break and the introduction of Tillman allowed us to become more of a threat in and around the Livi box. Two good goals in the end and an important win. Onto Tuesday we go! Enjoy your weekend, bears!3 points

"Credit" to Livingston. They do what they do and do it perfect. What truly galls me is that we have seen it countless times before and don`t react accordingly.3 points

Ok, so it's now time for the '' Boss '' to work his magic. We look pedestrian, predictable, ponderous and blunt. Souttar has a massive 45 minutes ahead of him. Dunno if I'm just being a dozy fan who has '' never played the game '' as players like to often remind us. But I would have thought the lads would be bright eyed and bushy tailed at the opening of the season. They should be tearing Livingston up for arse paper. They're crossing and passing the ball like they've got their boots on the wrong foot. Not impressed, not happy. Sure as hellfire, Celtic will explode out the traps tomorrow and slaughter the sheep. We're far too timid. We need to get in their faces and turn with runs.3 points

Kamara is a nice player. Nice players don't win you games like this.3 points

A very disappointing first half from Rangers. We know how these games unfold but a lack of urgency on the ball, zero end product from our creative players, not enough men in the box and no service for Colak means it's no surprise we've not scored so far. Poor defensively also. Yes, we can point to huge amounts of possession and credit must be given to Livi's defensive players but the lack of imagination and too few players taking responsibility for their role means we struggle against low blocks. This isn't a new thing and, yet, we seem unprepared.3 points

Souttar had a bit of a nightmare today, however I will not write him off so early in his Rangers career, better players than him have struggled to settle into the weight of the Rangers jersey, most recently Bassey & Lundstrum.2 points

Absolutely brilliant 3 points on a horrific pitch and with horrendous officiating. Tillman was excellent as was Kent and Tav does what he does, onwards to Tuesday night.2 points

I agree. Three points is all I need and in previous seasons except the 55 Rangers might not have been able to achieve the victory. It was the stuttering way the team seem to have played that is so familiar - giving away a stupid goal and keeping possession without threatening much.2 points
-
We won the game. Last season we drew certain games like that and ultimately let go of our league title. It's the first day of the season. 3pts is all that mattered.2 points

I'm giving the credit to Gio mate, his changes won the match 👍2 points

As far as I recall, Whyte set up a deal with Ticketus involving the future rights to season tickets. He used the money which was lodged with solicitors or in escrow somewhere, and released immediately the one Pound coin changed hands with DM. This looked gey close to Financial Assistance, a breach of the Companies Act. Lloyds Banking Group swallowed this whole, or to the tune of 18M GBP, or thereby, the debt which the Rangers' division of Murray International owed. Subsequently, Ticketus bought further rights to further season tickets. There was nothing unusual in the deal with Ticketus, except, perhaps its scale, and the fact it was to be used for paying off debt, rather than easing cash flow. When Whyte put the Company into Administration, which ended in formal Liquidation, Ticketus realised that it had bought a pup, and sued for the money. Now, if memory serves, it found, to its dismay, that it had no claim beyond that of any other creditor. I think that it had been misled on matters of Scots' Law.2 points

I think you saw the value that Morelos adds by dropping deep to get involved when you contrast Colak staying up top and waiting for service. Colak needs more support and I think the two could compliment each other, forming a fairly formidable pairing. 3-5-2, definitley an option to consider for games like today.2 points

Poor 1st half, better 2nd half. Change of formation and introduction of Tillman changed the game. Could and should have scored 3 or 4 goals in 2nd half and believe we had a goal wrongly chopped off (hurry up with VAR)2 points
-
A lot of last years issues still there. Poor at Left CH Struggling at right sided attack. balance between attack and defence wrong in midfield wrong. Cheating bastard officials making the most of no VAR yet. But we have the solutions to some of those issues in place. VAR will come in. We also were far better at playing between the lines and had more options off the bench to change the game. A really good result in a very tricky tie.2 points

You would hope the next time we don`t need changes against brickwall teams. Just play a solid attacking threat from the word go and change it later to a more regular shape if need be. I know that Arfield is usually not that good a starting option, but Tillman would do nicely. Suss the opposition out ahead of the game, not after 40odd minutes. It`s not like we haven`t played them before ...2 points

Well done GVB,... but a lot of work to do to get to where we need to be.2 points

Much better 2nd half. Substitutions helped. Still think we’ve got issues at CB. We have to hope Ben Davies can step up although Sands did well again2 points

Another thing, the more I see Sands the better he looks, I think he could be a big player for us this season2 points

Tillman has something about him. If it clicks, it'll be magnificent.2 points

Nah, he's been fairly dreadful. Half-paced and half-hearted2 points

Souttar is a right-sided player; having to cover for Barasic isn't helping him either. Play him in the middle of a back three and he will be ok.2 points
-
Void of imagination. No telling passes. And a shambolic defence. The usual 400 passes that go no where. Tactics need to change. I would take kent off and put sakala on. Soutar is having a nightmare and kamara is a liability with his booking. I expect changes for the second half. If we dont were in trouble.2 points
-
Possession champions, again. Can someone tell GVB that the objective of the game is to score goals and not retain the ball? No urgency or risk taking out there today.2 points

That's Barisic's confidence shot for the next 6 months...2 points

Not always, he wasn't born like that.... It'll be the image processing software making it stand out a lot more.2 points

Good point. I would expect Davies to become first choice for that position.1 point

I would level this at all football fans of a certain age bracket ie. Those fans that have watched football and then recycle it via the madness that is social media.1 point

Livingston has been solid, well organised, quick to get (back) into shape, strong, and dangerous on a couple of breaks. We have been disastrous.1 point

Forty-eight minutes of the first half and the Livi' Keeper has NOT had a save to make. Twenty-five crosses into the box and none of those found Colak.1 point
