I'd say this sort of player profile fits right in to our budget. We'd all love Rangers to sign strikers who have scored regularly in the top leagues but we can't afford any of them.

Croat strikers tend to do quite well at Rangers. He hasn't had many appearances at PAOK, so maybe he's a bit out of favour there. They did change their manager after he signed.

His stats look hit and miss. At Malmo and the club before PAOK, Rijeka, he was more than 1 in 2 but his stats at PAOK are poor.. You never know but he reminds me Herrera, hopefully only in appearance rather than ability if the interest progresses

A bit of noise on twitter regarding us having a bid rejected for POAK Croation striker Antonio Colak. He scored against us for Malmo where he was on loan. You remember him ? Don't often meet or speak with people who saw him play. I never saw him play in real time. He was finishing up when I was born. THe club have (or had) a system where they could only pick 5 players from each decade, to be club legends. Matthews and Mortenson were two and despite being there for only 6 years, my uncle joined them. Ironic point, I was shown an old UK newspaper front page at a young age. I did wonder if thats why it took so long to tie McGregor down as I don't think it would have been a difficult deal. I had/have a small feeling there was an agreement between AM and Rangers that we were testing the waters with possible keeper signings to see if we could get a good keeper for a good deal with the knowledge that McGregor would agree to a further year if we couldn't get who we wanted.... Crystal Palace is where Butland is though.....

West Brom keeper Sam Johnston has signed for Crystal Palace. Wonder if that has made a difference for the McGregor deal?

Time to let McGregor go, agreed but it is surely McLaughlin that should get the gloves with Robby his number 2 and Cup keeper. No need to spend money on expensive keeper. Put it towards a striker.
