We need to be looking at forwards. Itten has gone and that only leaves Morelos and the too often-injured Roofe. (Sakala to me more of a wide player) Can’t say I’ve seen Botheim play but seems well worth considering. I’d doubt he’s ready for the EPL so we should be well placed4 points

As far as I can make out, that was a fake tweet saying that the deal was done, but there was another tweet from a young journalist (the one mentioned above), which I believe is genuine, saying that we were looking at him.3 points

I think thats a little premature. Whilst I don't think we will be spending the sums that many have guesstimated based on last season's transfer and prize income, but I do think we will be net spenders this window. Its still early in the window given all of the post season internationals... I'd like one or two in for the start of pre-season though.2 points

of course not its designed to send us to one of them for a 3rd time as ever.2 points
-
Quite. We had better get confident in these fixtures because I think that Celtic already are.2 points
-
I do like a chuckle at fixture complaints. If we can't have confidence playing the likes of Killie and Aberdeen (home or away), then there's something wrong.2 points

Bridgebuilding and bygones left as bygones not on the agenda, then? I can't say I disagree. The Club, however, should, at least, remain open to suggestions/approaches from any other disaffected or victimised Clubs, or engage where it sees a clear benefit/advantage to do so. The statement from Parks is really about Parks, subtext: 'You can fuck with Rangers but don't you dare fuck with my family and our business'. On the other hand, I suppose that a separate entity can go in a little harder.2 points

That won't be available until the transfer window is closed and the accounts are released. As usual, there's the 'Why haven't we spent £50m' brigade and there's the 'We're skint, doom and gloom' brigade and the truth is somewhere in between.1 point

a great deal of that 23million was a paper loss though.1 point

It’s never too early for a bit of panic. In fact I suspect some have been in training for weeks.1 point

The window has only been open for a few days. It's surely a bit early to hit panic mode.1 point

Bit too soon for that level of pessimism surely. I’m assuming you have no evidence for that opinion and it’s entirely driven by frustration?1 point

I would be worried if we have no cash given we have easily had our best season ever in terms of revenue. By some distance I imagine.1 point

we seem to be dragging our heels in the transfer market what's is the pot empty do we have to unload before we can buy1 point

He’s 22, only played about 80 games in the Norwegian eliteserien & isn’t a full internationalist yet1 point

It is but that only really guarantees we are worse off if we go through with it.1 point

This is my understanding. Although i think our chances of getting the lad are slim if the likes of Leeds are involved. I highly doubt he joined Krasnodar from Glimt because he valued playing in the Russian league.1 point

Aye, you're right. Think the bitterness hit my brain before common sense did.1 point

This is why I will be sticking to my 'not giving money to other clubs' guns. We have the power to land a fatal blow on several parties. Not that we'll use it but principles are important.1 point

Well the other lot wouldn't want to play in the English league when they in favour of Independance. Money talks and I can't see why the waters couldn't be tested.1 point

Alfredo being linked with Seville in various outlets this morning. Would be a good move for him.1 point

Indeed. Sometimes players and teams play crap. We're no more immune from that from any other club.1 point

Yip, unfortunately Andy is very ill and it's just a matter of when not if now. Can't remember such a bad period for legends passing...1 point

Opinions are fine - I'm merely asking you substantiate it. Goldson has been a key contributor to a league title, a Scottish Cup and a European final in the last two seasons whilst hardly missing a game. Yes, we want more and his form can be sketchy at times (perhaps down to chopping and changing his central defensive partner) but I've yet to hear anyone offer a better, proven alternative.1 point
-
Agreed. We have to sell high value players who are not going to sign a new contract. Goldson was different as his resale value wasn't as high but Aribo shouldn't be allowed to run down his contract.1 point
