  1. This final isn't great viewing. The commentators are annoying. The atmosphere reminds me of us in Seville - this is what happens when you fill a stadium with people who don't follow their team regularly.

  2. UEFA and FIFA prefer teams to wear all one colour where possible and for one to be in 'light' and the other to be in 'dark' colours. You're seeing it more and more in international football these days as well. There's some science behind it where they've proved it's easier for officials and spectators to distinguish if a team is in all one colour apparently. The dark/light colours is connected to colour blindness believe it or not. Apparently 1 in 12 men are colour blind (I'd no idea it was that common), and so if a team is in all red and another in all blue for example a person with colour blindness can't tell them apart. So Frankfurt decided to play in all white and us in all blue giving the light/dark contrast. I only read about this recently, that's the only reason I know.

  3. 1) Rangers 3-1 RB Leipzig Wow. The succession of cleverly worded Rangers songs, especially the Belinda Carlisle tribute to John Lundstram, were all sung so loud and proud you couldn’t help but be impressed. But when Lundstram scored the crucial goal the noise levels and the power of the Ibrox support went to a place I’ve never ever experienced at a football match in all my years watching the game all over the world. It’s a night that will stay with me forever. https://talksport.com/football/1116979/best-football-atmospheres-rangers-ibrox-frankfurt-liverpool-adrian-durham/

  4. We aren't ever winning the CL.... so gibe me the CL group, a drop to Europa and that final every year will be fine - or even the Conference final

  5. It's terrible...lol! I wish both teams could lose. It's like watching the Rothschilds play the DuPonts.

  6. I hd a choice to watch the CL final between the Bank of Madrid and the Bank of Liverpool - or the League Two playoff final from Wembley between two proper football clubs. Naturally, I didn't chose the predictable bore fest in Paris, which is guaranteed to be everything I hate about the CL gravy train. Congratulations to Port Vale.

  9. This situation is another example of football fans being little more than an afterthought for the governing bodies. Hopefully everyone gets in safely and gets to watch the match.

  10. Hope he is OK Bearger and gets safely. Not been a good week / 10 days for UEFA showpiece finals.

  13. Bring back the old 1963 blue and white vertical stripes as our second strip

  14. Bit of a late post on this but I was disappointed we chose to wear all blue in the final and wanted to see us in our traditional home shirt, shorts and socks. Not sure if UEFA would've allowed the white shorts but the black and red socks would definitely have been okay. Playing in all blue against a team in white didn't do us much good in 2008. Hopefully we ditch the all blue from now on. 🟦⬜🟥⬛

  15. Surely everyone is glad he's gone. One of those short term signings that just looks daft in retrospect ... but could have been different. Looks like we were sold a dud.

  17. Sometimes you just lose. There are always things to point a finger at when Rangers lose a game but “we blew it” suggests a degree of either intent or avoidable negligence. I doubt anyone who took the field in blue last Wednesday was aware of doing anything to contribute to our defeat. Sure the performance was less than it could have been but imo it’s wrong to say we blew it.

  18. It will NEVER be "meh" for me. Regardless of who it was. Devastated. But had Goldson defended as he should have then Ramsey wouldnt have been relied upon to hit a penalty. All of that said, I am immensely proud of that squad of players - they left absolutely everything out on that pitch, every last one of them. Now.... build the team around Bassey, Lundstram and Lowry and we should be good.

  19. The three of us took pictures pre-game.... as soon as we got to the match all 3 of us put our phones in a bag and they never re-appeared till we were at the hotel post game. I will never understand those that want to take pictures during the game. None of the 3 of us even moved from our seats for the whole game - 6 hours plus without water - but no chance was I moving during the game in case I missed anything - same with having a phone out. A Frankfurt fan in front of us would be lucky if she saw 20 minutes of the game as she spent the whole evening taking selfies with the pitch behind her. Ridiculous stuff.

  21. We have to be realistic with the Champions League - the top level sides just have too much quality and squad depth but since SG turned up, we have proved we can hold our own against clubs like Porto, Dortmund, Crvena Zvezda and Benfica. Wednesday night was a disappointing end to a terrific run but we can now justifiably believe that's where we should be.

  22. A little post script about Sevilla... there was a funny call on Clyde SSB last night. A Rangers fan was stating how proud he was of the team but we failed and we move on as a club. I'm paraphrasing but he was saying that there will be no plays at the Pavillion about Seville, no suites at Ibrox named after Seville etc. ie. We don't celebrate failure at Rangers like a certain other club does. There is a lot of truth in that IMO.
