I'm all for pragmatic game management and Gio can't legislate for brain farts from McGregor, Bassey and Kamara but the mindset of the team is too passive after we go in front. We're not playing PSG, Bayern or Man City in this league. We have to be more positive in games.8 points

I think some are going a bit overboard. We played reasonably well today and were let down by three shocking errors. People seem to think Celtc are a good side. They aren't. They're scraping past diddy teams. Keep the chin up!4 points
-
Really p!ssed off with that. We didn't turn up until the 35th minute then, when we do very well to get back in front via attacking play at tempo in the 2nd half, we sit back again and concede a disgraceful late equaliser. If I don't hear the phrase keep the zero again, it will be too soon.4 points

The speed with which the usual suspects have rushed to condemn Sands is symptomatic of the very worst in our support, always looking to acquire scapegoats and apportion blame. In Sands' case the condemnation has been so swift you might think he had been lined up as a whipping boy before he even arrived at the club. The truth is that, for a young man crossing the Atlantic and going straight into the team, Sands has acquitted himself well and none of us can say how good he might yet turn out to be or how big a contribution he might yet make. Frankly, commenting on performances in specific games is one thing but condemning players as worthless before they've had time to show what they can do is ridiculous. More than that, it's shameful.3 points

I like Glen Kamara as a player, a lot. There are two minutes left of the ridiculous seven minutes added on. The ball is fired forward on our right and a bouncing ball received a cushioned inside of the foot square pass by Kamara. It's intercepted, County players are on their toes waiting to intercept any square passes. It's knocked forward in behind on our right and we allow the County player to knock it off Bassey for a corner. The corner comes in with 90 seconds left, it bounces low in front of Geegsy, he goes down without his hands, they are by his side and he thighs the ball into space for a waiting Watson to knock into the net. Why we cannot manage games at the death is a continuing mystery? We have conceded 18 goals in the league so far, seven of those to Ross County.3 points

That's lovely from Roofe. Controls the ball, holds it up, works a shot with 4 men around him and hits the inside of the post. Unlucky, but good stuff.3 points

No different to us, does that mean we aren’t a good side? We aren’t even scraping past them, we’ve drawn to two in the past few games while they have beaten Hearts, Hibs and Dundee United despite their team being decimated by injuries and call ups. We should absolutely be beating them given the players they have missing though, no excuses.2 points

It's incredible what it did to a lot of our fans anyway. Staggering complacency from a large number.2 points

There is reason for concern (mentality mainly), but I think emotions are taking over a wee bit. We scored 3 goals today. Diallo looks like an excellent signing, capable of playing a huge part in the run-in. Aribo is back and is easily our best player. If Jon McLaughlin starts today we only concede 1, surely GVB can see that he should take over now and that will be another position strengthened. I have been saying that all season so that’s not a knee jerk reaction either. Bassey won't be at CB much longer either. Psychologically, today is a blow. But we have very good players returning and hopefully today showed GVB that MacGregor can't be trusted as number 1 anymore.2 points

Bit early to throw the towel in I think!2 points

Gio seems to like his team to score a goal then sit back and defend it!!, these players can't do that, I hope I'm wrong but it looks that way to me, I much prefer the attacking tactics that we used to do under SG.2 points

I wonder if GvB will play McGregor on Wednesday. There have been signs throughout the season that perhaps his time was up. Age catching up with him. Gerrard ignored the signs but I don’t think GvB will do the same.2 points

Important not to panic after a couple of poor results in the last 10 days or so. However, it's fairly obvious we lack a quality presence through our central spine. Too early to judge Sands but strange Lundstram is to go to player to see games out when he's not trusted usually. Central defence is also interesting. Bassey hasn't really let us down but neither does he convince. Balogun has disappeared again and Helander still a couple of weeks away. Meanwhile with Morelos away we have no focal point in attack. Food for though ahead of Wednesday (Monday?).2 points

We can live in hope, but I'm beginning to get the feeling the board have decided to pull in the purse strings. More chance we'll announce another business partner, a new castore range or MyGers + scheme.2 points

On the basis of general play, we should've coasted that match. We gifted them three goals. Disappointing.2 points

Diallo was good. He was exactly what we thought he'd be: a fast, tricky winger that is a bit raw and inexperienced. However, there's no point in giving him the ball deep when there's 12 men to beat. We need to work him into better positions.2 points
-
We waited until 35mins to actually inject a bit of urgency into our play. We take too many touches and too many extra passes which won't allow us to break down any teams that can get players behind the ball. To then basically throw in two goals after sneaking an early opener kind of sums up our lethargic play.2 points

The model the board want involves buying low and selling high. Not spending everything we have and having them constantly putting in soft loans. There's nothing untoward or hidden about what's happening.1 point

An opinion on a new player that I don't think is the required standard for Rangers is symptomatic of the very worst in our support, and shameful? Sorry bill, but you do talk some bollocks. I hope to be proven wrong about Sands, he looks a smart lad with a good attitude. I'm rooting for him, but IMO, I don't think he has the talent to make it in the first team. Adding squad players in NOT what we needed in January. I was hoping for one or two quality signings that could help us land the title, that will bring the much needed financial rewards of the CL.1 point

I'll be glad when this transfer window is over. New and better players will always be welcome but right now our biggest problem is that the good players we have already are consistently underperforming. There are 3 choices. Either they are being asked to play the wrong individual roles - or the collective team tactics are wrong - or the team selection and tactics are right but the individual players are failing to deliver to their abilities (or some combination of all 3). Right now I think the biggest reason for dropped points lies with the players themselves, some of whom appear unfocussed and lacking energy. What worries me is that this is often symptomatic of conflict within the dressing room and that's something that won't be solved by adding players, only by removing them. That said, poor refereeing, injuries, international call-ups and new coaching staff settling in have all posed challenges. It's not too early to be concerned but it is far too soon to be losing heart. Given the situation at both clubs I think this season will have more than a few twists and turns yet.1 point

I couldn't believe we started to drop deeper after we scored our third. It was playing into their hands.1 point
-
Admittedly we don’t know how long it will be. But Balogun and Helander will return to fitness as some point. Sands has far more experience playing there and might get the nod now that there is an excuse to drop Bassey for the first time, who still deserves credit for his efforts out of position. And there is still a slim chance Souttar will sign.1 point

The manager needs to sort out the midfield. Until he does we won't improve. His tactics are also far too negative and are inviting teams onto us. The best thing we can do is attack at pace. We are lousy at defending and before somebody points out stats to me the weaknesses are there for all to see. Stop playing into the opposition's hands when we have all these creative, talented forwards.1 point

I predict yet another Rangers win mate1 point

At the time it was the best thing 😁 We were never gonna win it with that type of margin, but they now have the momentum - best way to stop / reverse that would to beat them on Wednesday bit I for.one ain't confident. Whilst I'll be praying for a win, I'll take a 0-0 right now.1 point
-
I don't think it is throwing in the towel, just an acknowledgement that they have the momentum and the team morale. These things are vital to have and we haven't got them at the moment. Hopefully that will change, but it's not surprising that people will feel a bit pessimistic at the moment.1 point
-
Really? We look like we'd struggle to beat Bo'ness United. Will take a huge turn around now. Lose on Wednesday and IMO we've lost the league. Can't see us overhauling them if they get into a lead and carrying all the momentum. A draw would leave the league evenly balanced, a Rangers win would have me stating we're on track to be champions - just the nature of the beast. Undeniable that they have the impetus and the momentum and both of us are old enough to know that's huge in football's! There is something just not right at our club and we need to find out what it is. I suspect in reality it's as simple as we're skint.1 point

It was a good goal: he stays wide then attacks the back post. If we could only get both wingers doing that!1 point

All good things eventually come to an end. Today that particular good thing was the wonderful Rangers career of Allan McGregor. Time to move on, the team that Gerrard built is finished. Other (not so) good things that appear close to their terminus are the notion that Clavin Bassey is a central defender and the increasingly intermittent performances of Glen Kamara, whose head has already been at Aston Villa for weeks. Kamara is a really good player and has served us well but his weakness has always been inconsistent attitude. I've long thought Ryan Jack is the best midfielder at the club and if he's fit enough for the bench then he should always be starting. Now we'll find out what GvB is made of.1 point

It's obvious that this goes deeper than today's latest bad result. Something hasn't been right since preseason. The summer transfer window wasnt inspiring, the whimper CL defeat by Malmo, the whole SG to Villa (good move for him) and subsequent Michael Beale tweets and now another window where we haven't spent a penny. The current board are due huge credit and respect but questions have to be asked about what's happening at OUR club. All well and good having record season ticket sales, 241 commercial partners, MyGers, Club 72, Edminston House membership but that should be enabling continued investment into the playing side - the clearly isn't happening and suspect it's the reason SG disappeared at the earliest opportunity.1 point

I really hope Roofe starts up top on Wednesday.1 point

All he had to do was fall on the ball. Badly at fault for the first and third1 point

You just hope that we don`t go to the Scumhut to defend. I do expect Sakala, Roofe and Diallo now ... as those three have the pace and willingness to go for goal and shoot.1 point

Has McGregor a bet running for his 40th birthday? 2 howlers in one game ... But we have been far too lackadaiscial once we got in front again ... countless slow and needless passes at the back ... and Tav not clearing the ball out but conceeding that disastrous corner.1 point

A couple of horrendous defensive errors sees us 2-1 down. The fifteen minutes after we opened the scoring, we did not win a tackle. County played it long, often won the first and the second ball. The crosses kept coming into our box. Kamara, Arfield and, Aribo is a very good midfield, until the last ten minutes of the half, they all played with their backs to the County goal. We have got in behind the County back line twice, once was the goal. County are pressing high and fast and have successfully preyed on our errors. We must increase the tempo and get Kent on the ball. Further, in the first twenty minutes, County had two of their backline cautioned. We have not taken the ball to them, stood them up and invited the desperate tackle that could lead to the red. Why?1 point
-
Great start to game, scored a great goal then reverted to type and retreated into our shells. To be honest Ross County haven't looked dangerous, but when you give them two goals it makes it a difficult game. They got two early bookings yet we've not tried to exploit the players on yellows. Target them. Going forward, we've had 2 or 3 decent breaks but have no focal point. Roofe or Skala need to come on sooner rather than later. Only plus points- Amad looks a player.1 point

That was a lovely move. Another poor shot, although the angle is against him.1 point
