Nonsense. Ross Wilson has done an excellent job in his transfer dealings for the club4 points

Scott Brown is Scott Brown and Scott Brown is going to be Scott Brown. I cannot get upset with Brown, or any of his supporting media. Everyone is entitled to their view including KT, it's all tomorrow fish and chip wrappings. What gets my goat is Kevin Clancy. I expect a truly woeful exhibition of refereeing from him. He does not disappoint, he is bad for both teams every time he walks on to a pitch. However, what cannot be forgiven is walking off the playing surface smiling whilst allowing Scott Brown to wrap his arm around him. Seriously, have you ever seen that before, I haven't? The Ref' waits inside the centre circle until joined by both Linesmen, then they depart in a loose extended order.3 points

I always said he was a good player! Their manager is on record as having said they have the best two centre backs in the league though, so it won’t be an area they are looking to strengthen.2 points

I think people underestimate the pull of location. West Brom is right in the area where he was raised. He will have loads of friends and family there and maybe he, or his wife, would just like to move back. They could match our wages I would think and have a good chance of promotion which would result in a pay rise far higher than what we can offer too, and playing at the top level of the game against the best players. There’s still a chance he’s planning to stay and he’s just keeping his options open and strengthening his negotiating position, but I wouldn’t be as baffled as some if he does join WBA. Footballers are human beings with families and the decision making process isn’t as straightforward as we think. The NF link is nonsense, they are already set up at centre back.2 points

If Goldson goes then so be it. He’s been a magnificent signing & will be difficult to replace The yahoos must have spent £15-20m on CB’s during his time with us, none of whom were anywhere near as good as Goldson2 points

Lowry was very impressive during the first half. Fell out the game in the second as he got shuffled out wide. His goal was very well taken and seems very comfortable on the ball.2 points

I actually think it is you missing the point Gonzo. There was absolutely zero distinction in Bill's original post between supporter and employee. It simply said you werent fit to wear the badge if you supported the SNP. Either way, the thread is starting to move off tangent1 point

One of the main issues was that Worrall kept Katic out of the team. Many of our support were concerned we were developing a Nottingham Forest player while leaving our own asset on the bench. Not sure if that is right or wrong but it didn't help the lad.1 point

He should have started against Aberdeen but failing that he should have been brought on after 20 minutes when it became clear we weren't competing in midfield. As for the nonsense, it must just be his turn because nothing he's done justifies the criticism being aimed at him.1 point

Got a lot of bother, similar to Simpson these days. And IMHO, the latter did well enough (albeit against Stirling) as a left-sided CH in a back 3 or during his odd forays as a left wingback. IMHO, he didn`t harm his chances with Gio.1 point

I'll file that under "hot take". I think we will notice when he is not around.1 point

The average salary in the English Championship is circa £30k per week. I'd imagine he could on that just now, or something around the £25-30k pw mark. Plenty of scope, particularly for the richer teams with parachute payments from the EPL, to offer him a significant wage rise.1 point

Barker definitely isn't up to it. There's potential in Bacuna though - will it materialise... I voted for Lowry. The first and fourth goals were both well taken.1 point

On one hand i'm delighted Joe will be back in our matchday squad sooner than perhaps expected, on the other hand I was quite happy for him to be in another continent until the transfer window closes! It is by no means certain he will be lining up against the bheasts just because he is back from international duty. I have absolutely no interest in AFCON so have no idea if he played well or not and if that will have any effect on potential bidders this window, but I really hope he stays with us for at least the rest of this season and he can maintain the form level he had with us so far this season. POTY stick-on at this stage.1 point

That's not true. Missed a chunk of the last season's J league when he joined them because they have a calendar year league. This is the first major injury of his career as far as I can see.1 point

He was scapegoated for a long time because of that. He was a clearly a good centre back.1 point

MOTM for me was John Lundstram who was involved in everything and maintained tempo at least as well as those regulars he replaced.1 point

Goldson cost us £3M, if I recall correctly? We've certainly got our money's worth out of that deal. Four years service, in which he's barely missed a game. Unless it's to be closer to his family, I don't quite understand swapping European nights for a Championship scrap. Unless they can offer more money? That's possibly true.1 point

Roofe has hardly played for us since his last call up. Not sure why this is part of a major conspiracy. He has major calf issues, long haul flights can reduce circulation in the legs too. Its sensible for him to get back playing first.1 point

Lowry on the ball looked very impressive. Fell out of the game and not sure if it was due to fitness or moving out wide. Looks a bit one paced and not great off the ball so needs to work on that. But looks like a good #10 in the making. Leon King also looked solid - which makes me wonder if we need to push the boat out for Soutter when we have such a promising youngster. I know it was only Stirling Albion. Another missed pen for Tav - i'd expect Roofe will hit them as a first choice but we need our pen takers to be more clinical.1 point

We really need to freshen up in this next week. A RW or #10/8 would be ideal. Even if its a short term loan. Something is needed. Happy to wait for Soutter, talk of 300k - we could bring in a couple of promising youth team players for that.1 point

I think Connor Goldson is far better that Forest and WBA. Could comfortably play for any of the bottom half of the EPL imo. Hope there is still a chance we can keep him.1 point

Like religion, there's no reason why I would even know a player's political views, nor would I want to since they're paid to play football, not tout politics. Unlike religion, in the unlikely event a Rangers player started making pro-nationalist statements in public then I think, like most of the support, I would feel genuinely uncomfortable having him represent us. But as you're well aware, that's entirely different from the issue of supporters. The interests of Rangers and the SNP are so diametrically opposed and the contempt of nationalists for Rangers is so clear and profound that to claim to support both inevitably means compromising your views on one or the other. It's practically impossible to pull wholeheartedly in opposite directions and any time I have seen someone try, nationalism has always been the priority cause. I know how fashionable it is to want to appear reasonable and virtuous but this is really a very straightforward issue. Scottish nationalism detests Rangers and hasn't hesitated to show it, I support Rangers and detest Scottish nationalism. Being mealy mouthed about it is inappropriate and completely unnecessary.1 point

I think you're missing the point. As long as the players work hard and do their job, I really couldn't care less what their political views are. This is about the Rangers support and the quislings/5th columnists/Lundys amongst us.1 point
