  1. PC McLennan replied: "Yes, it doesn't help when Rangers fans are chanting." Our fault again then

  2. This is fairly niche and perhaps not of interest to everyone. It's also fairly long. I stumbled across it online and found aspects of it quite interesting. I'd always wondered about Callander FC, our first recorded opponents, I'd no idea the strong connection between the town and football. I know a couple of Airdrie fans who might be surprised at the origins of their club! https://scottishfootballorigins.org/2021/08/26/glasgow-before-the-explosion-the-role-of-migration-and-immigration-in-the-development-of-football-cultures-in-the-city-prior-to-1873/comment-page-1/?unapproved=129&moderation-hash=2b5d585235928cae397edb2cf6fe4e96#comment-129

  3. There was a tremendous Sellik interest story in the Daily Record some 25 years past. The then Daily Record Chief Reporter, Anna Smith told of Frank McGarvey's descent into gambling hell. He had gone into his local Bookie for the last time and emerged some hours later wearing his shirt, just. Now, Anna was a BIG Sellik fan and wanted to elicit sympathy for the plight of Frank. Today, Anna has retired to coastal Donegal to pen tomes that no one reads. She is reduced to sharing emotions with Phil McFournames. Anyways, when Frank arrived home, his wife gave him severe grief. The neighbours were entertained by a spectacular domestic. As Frank's wife asked the question, "where's the money to feed the family this week"? An exasperated McGarvey threw himself from the family home window. Oh the drama, an ambulance, a visit to A and E and, a gathering of the necessary Consultants gathered. Anna had delivered another green'n'grey soap opera. Of course, Anna failed to mention Frank lived in a Bungalow in King's Park.

  4. Sheriff Kenneth Hogg knows the significance of the statistics. The Rangers Skipper was not assaulted for being at his work during the Scottish Cup final 2016 because, Sheriff Ken did not convict Dale Pryde. Similarly, Sheriff Ken ignored Dale Pryde running the length of the Rangers supporting Disabled Section that same day and further ignored him launching a plastic seat at a wheelchair bound woman. Dale Pryde does not appear on the stats for violence. Similarly, Sheriff Ken does not want Thomas Bole to become part of the sectarianism - racism stats either because, racism and sectarianism just goes one way. Interestingly, we now have a stat whereby a Sheriff has failed to add to stats on three occasions because of his own preferred prejudice.

  5. Remember Sheriff Kenneth Hogg? The one who essentially cleared a Hibs-Fan of attempted assault of Lee Wallace, and assaulting a Rangers-Fan and another woman with a chair? That same Kenneth Hogg cleared a Yahoo from using sectarian language despite knowing it better, ignoring the witness accounts of policemen and putting all emphasis on not super-clearly hearing the video-recordings ... so the Yahoo was told he is a naughty boy and that`s that. With people like that in power ...

  7. Sectarianism in SNP Scotland can be split into GOOD SECTARIANISM and BAD SECTARIANISM. GOOD SECTARIANISM is anti-British, anti-Protestant songs and whatever else from the jolly craicsters in the East End. It seldom results in prosecution. BAD SECTARIANISM is anything to do with the Rangers support for which there might be a remotest chance of prosecution. In other words the legal system is corrupt. Every time I see Asst Chief Constable Bernard Higgins I see a police officer with an agenda. Selective policing if ever I saw it. Then there’s the mhedia. Selective reporting by pseudo journos and pseudo pundits with an agenda like Higgins. Pick and choose what to report & what to ignore. But the excellent work by H&H has exposed this pond life for what they are…. themselves BIGOTS who thought they could mask this by accusing others but their past caught up with them in the end For that we owe H&H eternal gratitude and let it be a warning to the remaining Rangers-hating pondlife out there

  8. Update on my 3 match package. I got an standard email this morning saying they would deal with my query and several irrelevant links to try but they are extremely busy and will deal with it when they can. You can't call the ticket office, it is closed. I decided to go back on the website and there was the whole package plus the Livi Cup game so all good.

  11. It’s all such a pity. I always thought The Famine Song was a splendid poke in the eye for the sanctimonious McOirish clan.
