Folks, let's calm down a wee bit and avoid the handbags. As much as this is bad news (losing any player is never good), thankfully it's not quite as bad as it could have been and we should have more than enough to go through tonight and give Celtic a good game on Sunday. Fingers crossed one or two of those unavailable tonight are back for Sunday and, as much as this weakens us to a degree (especially with respect to the goalkeeping position*), this is not that much different from having players out injured which can happen at any time and be even worse. * I've contacted Andy Dibble and put him on call for the weekend...5 points

Job done, mission accomplished - qualification for the Europa League and much need £££ for the club. Given the travel, the conditions and most importantly, the build up and Covid "crisis", ain't gonna get to hung up with the result / performance. Get bags packed, get on plane and get home safely with no further injuries / Covid cases. Regroup, and get as may players well / for for Sunday.4 points

I DO NOT! Just against them. And top 6 teams. And against those tricky relegation fighters. And cup ties against diddy teams. And European games. And Mondays. But that's it!4 points

I honestly don't think Gerrard is sitting on his hands thinking, "yes this is all going to plan". This isn't game management, game management would be scoring a couple of goals early and shutting up shop. That this tie is still in the balance is really quite appalling to be honest. I'll be delighted if we go through, but I'm starting to have serious concerns regarding our performances.4 points

Absolutely. As they say, You gotta accentuate the positives, .....Eliminate the......negatives.... Oh....wait.... You gotta accentuate the negatives, Eliminate the positives......4 points

As much as we'd prefer to get into the CL due to the financial rewards, the EL is somewhere we know we can compete. I'd be doing a @Rousseau and hiding behind the couch for games against Chelsea and Juventus, on current defensive form. Roofe is a more cool-headed striker than Morelos, so hopefully he can sort us out when the latter isn't being clinical (ie. Tonight).3 points

I think they would drop to the conference if they lose the tie. I'd prefer that...3 points

All things considered it’s churlish to be criticising this Rangers team.3 points

I think we need them to qualify tbh. The idea of us playing catch up on Sundays fills me with dread at the moment. At least they would have the same schedule.2 points

It would be churlish to hope for them to fail. The coeficient-- Ugh--I can't even finish that. 'Mon the Dutch!2 points

This is dismal. I appreciate that the weather won't be conducive to a quality match, but the lack of invention on show is really quite concerning.2 points

A reasonable first half only spoilt by awful finishing from Morelos and some needlessly dangerous play from Patterson, Davis and Barisic. I can understand the slow tempo given the heat, 'injuries', travelling and the big game on Sunday but I do think we're still too wasteful/slow on the ball too often with Aribo, Hagi and Arfield all picking the wrong option. It's frustrating because they all do excellent stuff as well but we're clearly still lacking that extra wee bit of sharpness. Barisic looks well short of what we're used to as well so we need to make sure we avoid what happened against Malmo - ten men or not. I would add we're lacking that extra bit of pace in attacking areas as Hagi and Aribo both prefer to drop deep.2 points

It's hard to believe we were talking about 15/20 million for Barasic. He looks a shell of last season's player.2 points

... and that many staff of the club are indeed double jabbed. Likewise, our able medical staff are all over this too. So let`s hope that those infected have no ill effects and a speedy recovery / return to the squad.2 points

One should take care when complaining about such things in here.2 points

If we had done the business against Malmo we would be visiting Juventus Zenit and Chelsea1 point

Why , what has tonight got to do with Sunday , seriously . Do you not think these players are capable or our management squad capable .1 point

Haha, I wouldnt be so sure. No keeper, no red card, no dismal 0-0/aggregate win. Seriously, you can dress it up any way you want, but this continued run of form can’t fill us with confidence, can it?1 point

I don't think they had any chances. We had several, hitting the woodwork twice. I still though we were rubbish, though.1 point

Only McCrorie and Patterson get pass marks from me. We haven't mastered the art of drawing teams out and hitting them with a killer pass.1 point

Happy with the win but wow what a difference from last year we really need to up our game that was hard watching1 point

That was a poor performance, all over the park. Qualifying is obviously the main thing but decent teams will find it easy to score against us if our defence plays at that level.1 point

Alfredo misses two "sitters", Arfield should have done a wee bit better, Aribo unlucky that the goalie touches on the post. There are days when Alfredo just needs too many chances to score, Roofe is usually quite clinical. Why again was this game played so early, it still is 30° and sure not too dark over there either?1 point

just score one of these rangers. barasic crossing has been good. Lacking in match fitness for sure.1 point

Just seen that it is claimed by German paper Bild that the agent was asking for a 34m agents fee on top of wages of £820k a week and a £150m transfer fee so the total package was over £275million. Crazy and greedy, no wonder it was turned down as the release clause in his contract comes up next summer for £65m.1 point
