Now that is a young Sturgeon, who just didn't believe her granny when she said, "Nicola, behave, or your face will stay like that for the rest of your life." Well researched, Rousseau, well researched.7 points

A word of caution always seems appropriate when facing a new season. Otherwise, expectations driven by a truly incredible last season can quickly turn to disappointment. For example, I believe it's extremely unlikely we will ever see another invincible season, or go on setting defensive records, or stroll to the league title by 25 points. In my experience, football doesn't serve up those luxuries very often. With our main rival in some disarray, we start as clear favourites and I believe we will prevail again this season but it wouldn't surprise me to find our points total falls short of 102. Whatever happens, success or failure will be judged next May, not on Saturday or the next few weeks.5 points

Be honest, how long is it since you looked forward to a new season so much?4 points

Difference here is that it's the Scottish League we are talkiing about and most of the teams likely to challenge us will be unable to hold on to their key players. Keltic are doomed, an embarrasment to Scottish football; I expect them to lose to Jabonec and possibly also to Hearts as well. Aberdeen may well be our nearest challenger this year. I don't care about our points total - just win the league so we get automatic CL qualification. I'd rather we lost a couple of league games in exchange for a cup victory or two.3 points

https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/clubs/50121--rangers/squad/ No McLaughlin (McCrorie used as a homegrown player instead) perhaps the biggest eye-opener. Patterson not mentioned but is there is a 'B' list player whilst Kamara, Balogun and Roofe all need to be listed for their suspensions to count. Both Morelos and Jack included as well. No Defoe, Jones or Barker but that's not a surprise.2 points

Why would you boo your own players for an anti-racist gesture? Tav has been quite clear in his letter, it aint political, it aint in support of any group, its in support of OUR players who were racially abused. How difficult is that to understand? Its really simple, boo tomorrow and you are disrespecting our BAME players who've been racially abused. Ps - How hard is it to sit in silence for 10 seconds?2 points
-
What reason would any normal person have to boo our own players for making an anti-racism gesture? As far as I can tell, only someone who supports racism.2 points

I’m fully behind the captain, and anything that can be done to kick racism and racists out of football, and indeed out of society in general, will get my support. I’m disgusted with what I’ve read tonight on Twitter in response to the release of this letter. There are some with tickets for tomorrow who are intent on booing our players making an anti-racism gesture. Frankly they are no more Rangers fans, or human beings for that matter, than Nicola Sturgeon or Neil Lennon. I heard a handful of boos at the Real Madrid game in the Govan Rear but I couldn’t see anyone doing it. The captain couldn’t have been clearer. It’s not politically motivated, it’s to try to get racism out of football and society. Nothing to do with BLM, just a message from our players that they kneel together against racism, which every true Rangers fan should fully support. Life bans for any racists booing our players anti-racism gesture. No room for racists at Ibrox, go and support all our players or don’t go at all.2 points

A shame he felt he needed to write it but it's clear so hopefully those that have an issue take their boos elsewhere tomorrow.2 points

Within 2mins of emailing both rangers tv and ticket information i received my code.2 points

I got mine around an hour ago. However I'll probably use Sky as it's a better picture and less technical difficulties.2 points

Good news is that every player apart from Morelos and Jack trained today and is available. Morelos is back next week and Jack by the end of August. I assume that includes Aribo, Roofe and Barker who have supposedly been in isolation. Less positive news is that manager has confirmed Goldson has not yet signed a new deal.2 points

I talked him him through it on FF and gave him a draft email to send. I did it last week and it only took a few days, with the ticket office staff dealing with it efficiently. If only they could have been as good with the ballot.2 points

Still nothing ? I hate Wee Nippy and her fucking incompetent cabal of scumbags. Their total mismanagement of this pandemic has cost me my seat for the game. ???2 points

I imagine many yahoos entered the summer break bitterly disappointed but confident of a swift return to dominance. An uninspiring pre-season, followed by two awful performances in Europe will have swept away any notion of that. Their mood is going to get as dark as only sudden and total collapse can bring and I look forward to Walfrid’s empire tearing itself apart in a festival of blame and denial.2 points

I think your reply is nonsensical. How is criticising people who boo on a forum a threat to unity? Surely booing the team on the park is divisive?1 point
-
It already has happened at the Brighton and Real Madrid friendlies - a very vocal minority. Who in their right mind gets back to Ibrox after 499 days and the 1st thing they do is boo our Championship Winning Team for an anti-racist gesture? Can fans not see how utterly mental that is? Did you read Tavs letter? Ever one of our BAME players was racially abused last season and their own fan boo them for sending out an.anti-racist message.1 point
-
And be hypocritical and cheer / celebrate when the players score / win a game / win a cup / win the league. If they can't support them in an anti-racist gesture, I would suggest they shouldn't support them full-stop.1 point
-
I just don't get it. I have never booed a Rangers player or the team. I suspect those who boo taking the knee would boo if we weren't 3-0 up by half time.1 point
-
Why would anyone want to boo our own players for their own views? No one is saying you're a racist if you boo, just a bit of a bellend really. Well said Tav, superb.1 point

I got my code too but it’s too much hassle to watch on RTV, so it’s either Sky at home or the pub for me. I’m hopeful there is a change of commentary team at Sky this year with Crocker and Walker binned but I’m probably going to be disappointed.1 point
-
Some fans haven’t been able to print off their codes , so have sent them to family or friends to print for them , usually older fans that don’t have smart phones or printers at home . Technology is fantastic but the club can’t expect everyone to have phones and printers to hand .1 point

You're not support to resell your ticket under any circumstances but the club usually overlook it. They might not given the current conditions and I'd be very wary passing on my QR code.1 point

Like Bluedell above, received my RTV activation code for Livi game. Redeemed and look forward to watching game tomorrow. Wont be the same as attending the game, but it'll have to do for the time being ?1 point

No expert on this but is the B list not all the players who have been developed by the club since youth? Can Patterson not be drawn from that list?1 point

Hope every side of that deal is in the clear about where he will play. He talks about Ibrox, Craig Mullhoand says ... ... and I wonder what he means with "large numbers"? How many Bears will be watching Lowland League games? More than people at EPL2 games? Probably, but still ... BTW, it is quite difficult to actually find that ruling about who can play for the B-Team and whether those can also play for the first team. At least anything offical.1 point

Looking for one for tomorrow as well ?1 point

A league win by 10-15 points and both cups. Last 16 of the Champions League - why not Is it Saturday yet1 point

Hopefully he’s on track this time. Just wish he’d had the operation sooner. I still see him as a vital ingredient1 point

Things can change quickly in football. Where we were in March 2020 was a lot different from where we were in March 2021. Their new manager is highly regarded and despite his ropey start, I have little doubt they'll be better than they were under Lennon. I'm confident we can win the league again but seriously doubt it'll be as easy as it was last season.1 point

Tread carefully yet confidently, and Rangers could dominate Scotland for years https://theathletic.com/2730571/2021/07/29/tread-carefully-yet-confidently-and-rangers-could-dominate-scotland-for-years/?source=user-shared-article That's it; the bubble has burst. We're doomed...1 point

@Billis right to be cautious. I remember too well the hubris of 1963/64 and the Nine and I’ve seen celtic on their knees unlikely to rise a couple of times before and we’ve seen Liverpool with Klopp set to rule for a decade. Rangers had plenty of luck last season for a change. That probably won’t happen this time. I expect to win the league again but I’ll know better in nine months or so. If I’m tempting fate, the Witchdoctor-General on the Mods staff will delete.1 point

"What will be will be" could be construed either way but I think as a club we can't be dependent on anyone playing every minute of every game, which necessarily means being able to keep on winning if and when Goldson leaves or is unavailable.1 point

Still 6th/7th material IMO, lack goals and still have the brittleness which will not be helped by Granit Xhakas departure1 point

Now they are up against the Czechs of Jablonec. Neat. You won`t want to tempt fate, but any Euro less they get from UEFA is good for us.1 point
