  1. I’ve just seen film of the tartan army coming off the train in London. Middle aged men dressed in a bizarre fusion of Brigadoon and Sports Direct shambling along the platform, some clutching children’s toy animals. Dear God.

  2. Grown men who wear fancy dress to a football match should be put down, regardless of which team/country they support.

  3. Finland-Russia and Turkey-Wales yielded very few points. Everyone had an Italy win, though, with Yorkie, BEARGER, Stewarty and CammyF gaining Correct Scores.

  4. Watching this tournament has me wondering, do all people who attend international football matches: A) Dress up like idiots (kilts, wigs, hats, helmets, facepaint etc.)? B) Spend the whole match looking at the big screens (desperate for their two seconds of fame)? What sort of pillock dresses up to go to a sporting event?

  5. Played for Tranent Juniors for 10 years, not straight 10, and had a stint at all the East Lothian Juniors. Winger converted to striker. Had a spell at Berwick Rangers alongside Mike Galloway? until I torn knee ligament kept me out for a year and was released after that. One boys club Scotland cap, Gordon Marshall was the keeper, made a few Scottish juvenile select teams along with the likes of Brian Rice, Gar Mackay Dave Bowman, Darren Jackson.....

  6. Spent one week trial at Everton played opposite Neville Southall and meet Bill Shankly. 6 month at Hamilton being picked up by Eric Smith (then manager) at the old Smillies garage on the Edinburgh Rd before chucking it when being lead astray by my good lady. Played for a few good standard amateur teams winning the Scottish cup twice and played numerous league select sides.

  7. Forgot about him. Cracking good fullback with a bit of speed. That’s good company you were in, compo. You did well to get near them to hack them down.

  9. Never played for any team worth talking about all amateurs but have played alongside Harry Hood, Alan McGraw,Joe Mason, and the old Hibs captain Joe Davis and also Eric Smith , I was just one of those players who deliberately injured others

  10. I wonder if Ukraine wouldn't mind keeping the score at 2-0? Do they really need to score more?

  12. Looks like goalie Brian Kinnear has joined Birmingham City, probably a good decision, as his chances will be rather limited with us and at 20 years of age, he needs to look for competitive footie. Rangers Academy goalkeeper Brian Kinnear has secured a move to English Championship Birmingham City

  13. agreed. Barca are my Spanish team so I cant stand Ramos. Grudging respect for his achievements but not a likeable chap imo

  15. Not the Tartan Army, but cryptozoologists heading for a conference on the Loch Ness Monster, tomorrow. Equally as deluded, granted, so an easy mistake to make.

  16. Thanks for responding needlessly dickishly to a sincere offer of help. Apologies I haven’t read your autobiography.

  17. You must have had a wee bounce when Bale skied his Pen. Awful Pen - he never looked like scoring.

  18. I was impressed with the French last evening. A first half of 45 minutes with two minutes added on, followed by a second 45 minutes with six minutes added on. The Referee actually played just in excess of 8 minutes. One hundred minutes of holding out against Teutonic aggression, that's twenty minutes longer than they achieved in 1940.

  21. Correct. Over half of all existing RIFC shares were basically issued in the last 18 months, all at exactly the same price. Totally consistent up until the last issue, a mere 10 days before this one. So no need to go back a month or even some folks preferred 40 years. Kudos for their business acumen and playing the punters. Fiduciary duty and the price of milk in Tesco 40 years ago do not matter. The support was fleeced because they knew we would pay it, simple.
