  1. Unfortunately, whataboutery simply won’t help us in this current situation .Until the club actually take one of these hating bastards all the way through the courts , they will simply keep on coming . What doesn’t help is the fact that , the fake video aside , we keep on giving them a free hit , Saturday was so obvious , anyone with half a brain cell could see it coming . We never learn , Manchester is a case in point , 2 weeks prior to that final and the authorities were still adamant they weren’t putting on fans zones , no matter how many people and authorities told them otherwise , when they eventually relented they made an arse of it . Saturday was a release of 10 years of hurt , that no one in the city council had the foresight to see this just shows how little they care , or really understand about us , they could have opened the stadium , they could have put a fanzine in a park near Ibrox , but no , lalalala not listening , it’s pathetic , but unfortunately not unexpected .

  2. Borna is for sure as is Defoe. A few others probably are. Who knows and who cares.

  3. Throw the book at Rangers, turn a blind eye to Celtic (or, failing that, Hibs will do). Make sure the harshness of your condemnation for any transgression is proportional to the number of Union flags on display. Pretend to be concerned about bigotry when really you're just defending your chosen side, playing goodies and baddies, and politicizing the issue rather than tackling it. It's a dangerous thing the Scottish government are doing. If you're partizan and outspoken on the subject of sectarianism (like Haggerty, 3 names) you're part of the problem. If you're partizan, outspoken and in a position of authority (like Yousaf and the selectively outraged tartan sinn fein MSPs) you're guilty of escalating the problem to a whole new level.

  10. Wow, just wow.... So Rangers took the lead in trying to minimise the crowds in Glasgow, came up with a very, very viable and sensible suggestion and the SNP Government refused. I hope this has been leaked as the start of our fight back.

  11. News today that reformed club Macclesfield FC is to join North West Counties Premier Division next season. Another club Another example of financial mismanagement. Good luck to the Silkmen on a long and arduous journey back to the football league.

  12. The support has moved on considerably in the last 40 years. The reaction to Saturday's events has far more to do with the bitterness of our detractors than it has to do with our current sectarianism. They still go on about the signing policy FFS.

  14. I clearly heard Tom English on the radio last night saying that he was disappointed that the club statement mentioned everything in the "Anyone Everyone" campaign except sectarianism; that is blatantly untrue as the above statement shows. I get all of the anger against people ripping up bollards and attacking police and throwing bottles; what I don't get is the attempts to manufacture sectarianism. I have heard that Connor Goldson is catholic, and we all know Gerrard is, so why on earth would they put up with anything anti-catholic in their own dressing room? This in a squad with only 2 Scottish first team players?

  15. This for me, and recency bias is working against Tavernier. For me, when they performed at their best has to come into it. Tavernier was the best player in the league when we were in a real battle for the title. Celtic only dropped 2 points in their first 9 games before we beat them. That loss caused them to briefly fall away but then they rallied in December before, yet again, a loss to Rangers killed their momentum. Only at that point did many Rangers fans allow themselves to believe we were going to win the league. Tavernier's performances were a huge part in pushing us ahead of Celtic when they were still very much in the title race. Good form in recent months is great but of less value than when the pressure was really on, in my opinion. Of course, I don't begrudge votes for any member of this squad and believe there is strong case for many of them.

  16. True but I know what @Charlochmeans. The diversity of the team and the women’s XI are blanked out by the opposition. Rangers had a distinguished captain in Roman Catholic Lorenzo Amoruso but that doesn’t suit the agenda so it’s ignored.

  17. Good question and 2 or 3 of their players are linked with big moves. They wont do a Sheff Utd thats for sure. Average clubs that come up are good for the likes of Brighton and Burnley etc who hover around the bottom half as they are a team to beat who will stay under them. It isnt good for the league. Where as Leeds have been awesome this season and established themselves as a PL club again - they go 8th tonight with a win. Also Wolves have been the same. Norwich - I just cant work out. Excellent in the early days of the Premiership. I like the manager despite his high pitched voice and if they lose 3 players for 70 million they wont replace them. Edit - By doing a Sheff Utd I meant being top 9 in the first season rather than appalling second season.

  18. It’s naked “othering”, the dehumanising and delegitimising of those you hate. It’s what leftist nationalists do. Even the “civic” ones. It always ends in the gulags, concentration camps or gas chambers, if left unchecked. It is increasingly unchecked in Scotland.

  19. A very difficult decision, there are many who deserve recognition and a case for all to be voted player of the year. I have gone for Ryan Kent, simply because when he is on his game, he is unplayable, a player who truly excites and who gets you off your seat.

  22. Ok, I've counted all the votes from the match by match polls but, before I announce the results from that later in the week, I'd like to invite as many forum members as possible to cast a separate one-off vote for their player of the season. Obviously winning 55 has been an amazing experience but, for me at least, it's all been about the team performances and that's reflected in the sheer number of players that conceivably win this award. Should it be Allan McGregor - the SPFL Player of the Year - who has demonstrated his worth time after time with incredible one-off stops at key points in many games? Perhaps you'd prefer Steven Davis - the Football Writers' Player of the Year and the UK's most capped international player - who has played the most games of any Rangers player this season (59) across club and country; showing his class time after time. This vote wouldn't be worth it without a place for skipper James Tavernier - the PFA Player of the Season. Despite missing ten games in 2021 due to injury, we cannot forget the effect he had on the team match after match right across the season, both in defence and in attack. What about Connor Goldson? The Englishman has been a rock in what has been a defensive masterclass from Rangers in this campaign whilst also scoring vital goals in various games. Not to mention he has played in every minute of Rangers' 56 games this season. We then have various other players who have consistently done the business right across the season: Glen Kamara, Ryan Kent, Borna Barisic, Filip Helander, Joe Aribo, Ianis Hagi and Alfredo Morelos have all played vital parts in the title win and whilst they haven't won the awards above, they've been consistently involved in our weekly polls. Who gets your vote and why?

  26. Even through all of this you will find a part of our support who will Bury their heads in the sands, their is 100% an anti Rangers agenda, that is directly linked through to the SNP and the police, half of Scotland cheered and applauded a gang of thugs and illegals as they broke the laws and rescued 2 people here illegally and breaking the law, those same people shouting about big bad rangers fans celebrating the title. This is the beginning as the SNP get stronger they will do everything in their power to erase your views, your beliefs and your freedom of speech, leftist politics playing its way in Scotland and heading for a large disaster for Unionists and anyone supporting Rangers.

  28. Let's go back 14 years, a video appeared of the then Sellik Chair, Brian Quinn accompanied by two Sellik players, John Hartson and Stephen Pearson on the stage of the Clanree Hotel, Donegal. The hostelry was owned by former IRA man(he had taken off his balaclava for the weekend), Hughie McGee. The Clanree Hotel was the venue for the end of season Player of the Year Dinner for the North of Ireland Celtic Supporters Association. The suited and booted attendees sat at their tables and applauded enthusiastically as the former Vice-Chair of the Bank of England, Brian Quinn took the stage. As Hartson and Pearson joined him, the audience stood and began to sing the Fields of Athenry, with add-ons. Microphones in their hands, ra Sellik trio joined in, shouting the IRA add ons with gusto. Cheered to the echo, the Club Chair became animated, turning to and fro, conducting the word perfect choir. Brian, John and, Stephen became video stars and the embarrassment flowed. BBC Scotland did NOT show the video, instead they carried a twenty second interview with Club Chief Executive, Peter Lawwell who pronounced, "it's been produced with thirty pounds of software". The then Justice Secretary did not demand anyone, "be shown the door". BBC Scotland's Chris and Connie McLaughlin provided descant on Peter's sweet melody. Compare and contrast with today's mock-up of mainly RC Rangers players accused of singing anti-catholic lyrics? Where do you acquire such software?

  35. I look forward to Humza calling WullieWanker as his first witness in court. Communication - say what you mean, mean what you say. Humza is the beneficiary of a most expensive private education. Yesterday, he Tweeted about a "Tory", then Tweeted about two Tories, his plural being, "Tory's". Don't ask about the apostrophe?

  38. Congratulations, old bean. Just remember the advice of Bob Ferris and Terry Collier, Friday night is lads’ night. Midweek football, Saturdays and Sunday mornings are also reserved times. My own advice: if you’ve got a garage, shed or even boiler room, defend them to the last square inch. The rest of the house is for Mrs gs.

  41. Nippy says Gers fans "rampaged through the city"!!!!! Strange never seen any of the usual trail of destruction seen after a "rampage". No shop windows smashed/looted,no cars overturned/set alight,no vandalism during the march so am still looking for the "rampage" The one thing I do hope however if any of those charged and found guilty of assault will be banned from Ibrox and any ST holders get their cards cancelled, they will have let the club down badly. What is alarming is the extreme comments from SNP and Glasgow Council leaders, still not unexpected from these morons, and the press are just being their usual anti Gers assholes.

  43. First replay showed that immediately. It’s the delay that’s cruel. See the linesman with his flag up and celebration is cut short. You’re still dancing and capering about before VAR is sgnalled.

  44. As you have pointed out, "Who thought if would be a good idea to have no proper football for ten days and then two games in four days. Far too many blank weekends due to dreary international and cup competitions." So what else is there to gossip about? Apart from which, Rangers' transfer rumours drive the fhilth support crazy.
