So here the journey really does end, nine years after the clubs in the SPL and SFL took an unnecessary decision to put the country's foremost club in it's place and share the kudos of lording it over the "bigheads and bigots" at Ibrox. No one will ever convince me that what Rangers was put through was motivated by anything other than envy and bigotry, nowhere more so than amongst the Scottish nationalist and pseudo-Irish communities. There should be no doubt either that many of those who pulled the rug out from under us were quite prepared to see Rangers extinguished altogether. You just know that after nine years of struggle and disappointment, there are still many in Scottish football who see this, our day of glory, as their failure and a profound disappointment. You might think this is a day of renewal and forgiveness when we should put the past behind us but I think not. If there's one thing we should never forget as we enter a new era for Rangers, it's the fact that those we have to share this league with and those who administer the game are the same people and clubs who would have destroyed our club. For me, that day nine years ago ended any respect I had for the rest of Scottish football and that's a fence that will never be mended. You might like to think there are one or two who will see the league trophy raised at Ibrox and feel a tinge of guilt or remorse .... but I doubt it. Enjoy the day, celebrate to the full, it's been a very long time coming. But never lose sight of why we went through all that pain and for God's sake don't be the people who line up to criticise bears who want to take to the streets to mark what is our equivalent of reaching the summit of Everest.5 points

An easy mistake to make. Actually, although this is little known, Kant was a keen savouries man; no lover of the Bourbon Cream, he. In fact he devoted a whole volume to savoury cuisine: A Critique of Practical Seasoning (1788). You're welcome.5 points

Hypothetically I could have attended 3 mass gatherings in Glasgow over the last 4 days, all currently against Government Covid Guidlines. The narrative from the press and Government is differs remarkably ; Thursday - we were actively encouraged to attend. Maps were put on social media. Pleas to attend posted on social media. Result police and public put at risk from Covid and physical harm. Narrative - well done citizens, brave Scots face down the establishment and general high fives from Holyrood. Saturday - warned not to attend. Putting everyone at risk, Covid situation too volatile. Police and public put at risk from Covid and physical harm. Narrative - big bad Rangers fans, sectarian bigots, racists, strip the titles, further action, harsh punishments etc. Sunday- pre-planned demonstration allowed and encouraged to proceed even given the events of Thursday and Saturday. Police and public put at risk of Covid and physical risk. Narrative- silence from press and Government. Move along, nothing to see here, a worthwhile cause etc. Only in Scotland.4 points

A couple of fantastic points from the trophy presentation I noticed and absolutely loved. first that no SPFL officials were part of the presentation and secondly that we changed our tops after the game but before the presentation and wore tops that did not have the SPFL logo on them. A great F you to the corrupt cabal who have royally fucked us over since 2012.4 points

You cannot seriously be comparing both? I was proud as f of us yesterday, proud of our fans with the red display along the Clyde, the red white and blue smoke bombs outside Ibrox, was absolutely brilliant, fireworks going off while we were taking the sheep apart once more. But I will not for a minute identify with the fuckwits that soured our name by their behaviour in George Square.3 points

Good bit of fun throughout the season, congrats to those in the top few and thank you to @Rousseau for the many hours put in administrating the league throughout the year.3 points

Forget Europe. I'm awaiting my bronze medal. And I will categorically state that I will play no part in any breakaway Super League.3 points

One day Sturgeon is telling people to gather to stop civil servants doing their job. Two days later she's kicking off about another gathering. Hardly worth taking her or her pal with the Celtc hoodie seriously.2 points

the neds will rightly get arrested and charged. Sure it's embarrassing and predictable but it's done. the celebrations should continue all summer though.2 points

Stats don't lie on this occasion. Hibs were definitely our trickiest opponents.2 points

It's all mock outrage. The BBC got eveyone except uncle Tom Cobbley to voice a shocked opinion. If the SG wants to get Covid under control then they should focus their ire on the large numbers within certain communities that are steadfastly refusing to get a vaccine when offered. And if the SG wants people to respect its wishes then it should be even handed in its response to gatherings. People know they are taking the piss so will do so as well.2 points

First title in years but now have to read about disorder from a group of fans. Utterly sick of this attitude. Why the feck did they feel the need to go George Sq.?2 points

Many thanks to @Rousseau for this. My 1st season as a Gersnetter and have thoroughly enjoyed the GPL. Just edged out of a top 10 finish yesterday. Pleased I completed all 57 entries! Great bit of fun. Greatly appreciate your efforts!2 points

Good to know that in the games against the scum/sheep the fans who despise us most the last two saw us win 8-1 on aggregate score, good training ground practice for us as well.2 points

That was unlucky. Close but no cigar as they say. West Ham form has ended, ran out of steam at the last furlong. Top 4 was a tough ask but 5th would have been great. Now if Spurs win today it will be a fight with Everton for 7th.2 points

Where ever and what ever you are doing tomorrow to celebrate this wonderful achievement, enjoy it, savour it but most importantly stay safe. Some of our enemies thought this day would never arrive, they tried to destroy us, they failed. Glasgow Rangers Champions and the league trophy is FINALLY back where it belongs.2 points

IMO the ones you talk about there probably deliberately stayed to end so they could fight with the police and are total assholes who may or may not actually be fans, these type exist everywhere.1 point

Since that horrid valentines day back in 2012 as fans we have stood shoulder to shoulder through thick and thin laughed together cried together sometimes wondering if we would get our club back ,but we dont call fellow fans idiots a bit of exuberance on the day has been blown out of all proportion and now we will have the odious Scottish government beating us by using us as their excuse to throw the place into another lockdown Haven't heard our justice minister condemning the anti Jewish placards at George square today maybe hating a jew isn't a crime now Stand up for your fellow fans were all in it together1 point

Not sure why the club would be responsible. Rangers made some perfunctory statements as requested. Almost as if you can't dissuade people from a certain course of action. All of the knicker wetters can ram it.1 point

Poor first half, better second half. Cracking goal from Leicester and Schmeichel had two McGregor esk saves. When Mount hit his shot it was in but what a save. The VAR decision is laughable, thats the closest one ive ever seen. Well done Leicester - I hope they go on and finish top 4. Its good to see the top 6 being split up.1 point

My favourite stat is Celtic have conceded more league goals at Ibrox than Rangers this season. In this season of all seasons. Absolutely glorious stuff.1 point

Reminds of the time landing in Valencia airport on a BA flight and everyone on plane doing the bouncy. Pilot came on and said something like "welcome to Valencia, been a pleasure getting you here and hopefully Rangers get a decent result. HOWEVER, never, ever to that bouncy thing when I'm trying to land a fookin plane" ?1 point

No Willie Waddell? No Scot Symon? And, given the sentiment expressed, no Steven Gerrard? Good effort; but must try harder.1 point

Firstly, that wasn't a spontaneous protest by the neighbours. Politicians were calling for people from all over to attend. Secondly, I don't know the rights and wrongs of the specific case, but those protesting were interrupting people going about enforcing the law. Yes, that's totally different and should, on the face of it, be condemned a lot more than people just celebrating a league win.1 point

Agree with most of what you say John but come on....spontaneous?no way was that illegal gathering spontaneous, organised yes but spontaneous, no.1 point
