I think after today you will not see Zungu after his loan agreement expires. Tidy enough but does he offer more than what we have? With the lad also coming in from Bournemouth, I think his days are numbered tbh4 points

Over the course off a season, there is always gonna be days like today. We simply can not turn up and steamroller every team we play, no matter how much us fans believe that to be possible. It's a long, hard season and players / management staff are human, they have off days at work, I have off days at work, we all do. We are still unbeaten in the league, hold a 21 point lead and if any of us were offered that at the start of season we'd have jumped at it. If any of us had predicated it, we'd have been sectioned.4 points

Great interview on Sky with McGregor. You know something? I wouldn't swap him for any other keeper in Britain. Seriously.4 points

Personally I think the league needs to BAN these plastic pitches. Amateur hour when the league allow 25% of pitches in the top flight to be artificial surface. They're brutal.3 points

Rangers should cite other challenges which were worse in which no retrospective action was taken. start with Duffy’s challenge on Kent last month at ibrox. Absolutely no attempt to play the ball whatsoever. Referee booked him but should have been red card3 points

What a terribly awful performance today. Felt sorry for Itten tbh. Don't think he did much wrong and I would have liked to see him and Roofe together. Hopefully a wee reminder that we've won nothing yet and that there is still plenty of work to do. Draws are as good as defeats so we have no room to start getting sloppy. Especially with 2 games against them to play. We need to really start upping the tempo from the first whistle over the next 3/4 games. Oh and play your strongest XI and get the match won.3 points

Credit to Hamilton by the way who are pressing us high and working very hard all across the pitch. We need to match that effort and a lot more if we don't want to slip up in the snow.3 points

Really enjoying these mate - many thanks! I'll get it online along with tonight's pod first thing tomorrow.2 points

I just think we massively miss Morelos when he doesn't play. We need to get over that.2 points

Yep & the manager needs to stop being over loyal to Kent & Aribo who contributed little today. Also u can’t play ur normal game on that plastic pitch. You need to adapt. That means cutting out all the short passing in ur own penalty area for starters2 points

Yeah absolutely, we've done brilliantly! Absolutely smashed all expectations! ...but it still doesn't temper the anxiety of a reappearance of the post new year drop in form. I think when (if) we win this league then as a squad and also as a support we'll have a lot more confidence in these situations in the future.2 points

The team he sent out should be strong enough to beat Hamilton, what is the point having a big squad if when they get a chance they don't take it? having said that I believe you should play your best team in every match, changing for injuries/suspensions when needed. All the subs did well when they came on.2 points

There's a strong impression that you think we're the finished article and are somehow malfunctioning for whatever reason. Whereas the truth is we're very much still a work in progress ... with major upheaval coming in the summer transfer window. Or maybe you just wanted to get in another dig at "untouchable" Ryan Kent. We dropped 2 points, sometimes it happens.2 points

Late leveller denies lethargic Rangers 'smash and grab' win A late own goal from Allan McGregor denied Rangers all three points at Hamilton after the league leaders put in arguably their worst performance of the season. Rangers were literally seconds away from securing another three points when Ronan Hughes sent in a cross for Bruce Anderson, whose header was brilliantly saved by McGregor, only for the rebound to land at Ross Callachan whose shot was going across the face of goal until it deflected off McGregor and into the net. The draw was a blow to Rangers in their pursuit of their first league title since 2011 in what was a bad day at the office for Steven Gerrard’s men. The Rangers manager named three changes to the side which defeated St Johnstone midweek, with Bongani Zungu, Glen Kamara and Cedric Itten coming in for Ryan Jack, Steven Davis and Kemar Roofe. Rangers battered the Lanarkshire side 8-0 at Ibrox in November and it was widely expected that Rangers would dictate the tempo and possession in this fixture, but early on it was Hamilton who looked the livelier with Anderson having a shot at McGregor’s goal which was blocked for a corner. Rangers first opportunity came on 14 minutes when a Hagi shot from long range went just wide. Then Joe Aribo came close with a great run and curling effort which went inches past Fulton’s right hand post in the Hamilton goal with the keeper beaten. A defensive mix-up then allowed Anderson with a chance which Allan McGregor had to be on his toes to save. Helander failed to control a pass from Connor Goldson, which allowed Anderson to steal possession and pull the save from Rangers keeper. As the first-half wore on it was apparent that Rangers were struggling control the game in their usual manner and half-time provided a chance to regroup and address the lethargy. Within seconds of the restart it looked as if that half-time chat had worked when Ryan Kent had a chance to get the opener but hit his shot into the side netting. But this renewed desire didn’t last long and it took a series of saves from Allan McGregor to keep Rangers in the game. First he had a tremendous double-save to deny a Scott McMann shot from the corner of the box, then quickly reacting to deny Callachan’s shot from the rebound. McGregor was then called into action again to deny Anderson. That provoked Gerrard to introduce Ryan Jack in place of Zungu, who had yet again struggled to impose himself on proceedings. Rangers have not conceded a goal this season when Ryan Jack has been on the park, but Bruce Anderson came close to ending that run with another attempt on goal which required McGregor to deal with. By this stage of proceedings, the Lanarkshire side had forced more saves from the veteran Rangers keeper in one game than any other side had managed this season. Rangers then introduced Kemar Roofe for Cedric Itten. Ryan Kent had another indifferent performance, but he should have put Rangers ahead on 73 minutes when a brilliant disguised pass from Ryan Jack put him in on goal, but the Englishman shot wide when it seemed easier to score. McGregor was called into action again when he had to deal with a fizzing Ross Callaghan free-kick, as Rangers were forced to introduce Steven Davis for Glen Kamara. But then Rangers took an undeserved lead on 81 minutes with an own goal from Brian Easton. Steven Davis played a great ball through to Borna Barisic, who fizzed in a low cross which deflected in off the Hamilton defender. It was a bitter blow for the home team who had done so much more in the game than their more illustrious opponents, and it seemed like Rangers would march on to yet another win. However, with seconds remaining, Hamilton got the equaliser they deserved thanks to Callachan deflecting his shot off McGregor – the goal coming so late into injury time that Bobby Madden couldn’t restart the game. Steven Gerrard said after the game: “We should be happy to take the point from this game because we didn't deserve anything. I'm actually relieved to go away from this game with a point. "We nearly won ugly, got a smash and grab, but we need to be better than that. We just weren't at the races today, there's so much for me to look through, and for me as well. Maybe I left too much quality and personality on the sidelines because we looked better when the subs came on." The Rangers manager also revealed after the game that the club will challenge the SFA charge against striker Kemar Roofe for his challenge on Murray Davidson during the win over St Johnstone at Ibrox. HAMILTON: Fulton, Martin, Hamilton, Easton, Hodson, Trafford, Callachan, Odoffin, McMann, Anderson, Ogkmpoe. SUBS: Hughes, Stanger, Mimnaugh, Winter, Moyo, Munro, Gourlay, Slaven, Smith RANGERS: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Helander, Barisic, Aribo, Zungu, Kamara, Hagi, Kent, Itten. SUBS: McLaughlin, Bassey, Simpson, Jack, Davis, Patterson, Wright, Roofe, Balogun. REFEREE: Bobby Madden1 point

Should we have won ? Yes Did we win ? No Did we deserve to win ? No Did we deserve a point ? No It is that latter one that is encouraging - we didnt even deserve a point but so very nearly took all 3. A season ago and we would have crumbled when we knew we were playing so poorly.1 point

I think his performance today will signal we dont make the loan permanent. Decent enough player but doesnt offer enough on either side of the ball. Shame as I had high hopes for him.1 point

I thought his team selection with zungu & Kamara in central MF never worked even early on u could see that. And do Kent & Aribo ever get subbed? Both weren’t very involved enough for my liking and Kent too wasteful too often.1 point

The team he sent out should have been strong enough to beat Hamilton but it wasn’t. Questions need to be asked why.1 point

The starting XI was a mistake today. Both Zungu & Itten look well short of what we need. Leaving out Jack & Davis backfired badly. We could easily have lost today. After the OF game at the start of last month some of our performances haven’t been as good as before Christmas. This needs to change. Nothing is won yet1 point

Well, we can obviously put our heads in the sand. Never change a running system and all that. But it ain`t running for a good few games. At least not as good as it could be. Getting three points today would have been daylight robbery. The game was begging for another striker and some more creativity and solidity. We got the latter with Jack and Davis late on, but as per usual replaced our striker with a striker, who was again unsuppported by Aribo (who was at times doing the right-back job) and, to some extent by Kent, who was on the wings. The latter, as I have said before, is untouchable and no matter what people will say in his defence, he simply needs to score more goals from the good chances he creates. That`s IMHO not happening and thus sending Roofe on for him to support Itten (who was good) should have been the order of the day. Aribo should have been hooked for Wright earlier, Hagi on. Hindsight is wonderful, but this is not the first time we laboured far more than we need and ought to.1 point

An appalling performance and best thing I can say it we managed to get a point. To lose that late goal really is dreadful but summed up our display which just wasn't good enough. Only McGregor, maybe Itten and the subs come out of it with any credit which says a lot.1 point

I will say this again , you never get a decent game on this ground , ever , ever , they are always brutal . Take any win , thank you , move on .1 point

I am a bit muted, firstly because I was expecting it to be chopped off for something, but mostly because we don't really deserve it. But, 0-1. Bundled off Tavernier, or maybe an on-goal. Barisic and Kent deserve the credit for the nice play out wide; the first time we've got in-behind.1 point

At half time. Application, attitude, and awareness? Please Rangers, cut out the walking football, sub' Davis for Zungu, and get someone to satellite Itten. All before Acas get lucky with the increasing number of balls flying into our box.1 point

Looking forward to this, think we should have a good game despite the pitch. Will we see Itten getting a goal? I was a bit disappointed with his performance last week but the whole team was poor the last 20 mins, really want the guy to come on and bag a couple!1 point

The toffees just confirmed the old saying, it's not over until the fat lady sings. Aubameyang got the long term big money contract signed and developed a chronic case of Ozil syndrome1 point

The goosebumps kicked in as early as Lee Wallace. I think its fitting our first trophy back is the 55th league title and I always had a feeling it would be. The League Cup this season looked easy in the Quarters but the reaction since the St Mirren game has shown the difference in the animal this season. The criminal shame is the likelihood of an empty Ibrox. But Im sure the club will still have something special planned to view and roll out everyone who has contributed back through the last 10 years or so. Whilst credit will rightly go to Gerrard and his team for this rampant season there has been lots of unsung hero's on this journey.1 point

Off to a good start again this weekend with predictions with the Villa winning. Im still not convinced with Arsenal and Arteta. They were poor first half and continuously played it backwards. They came out in the second half with more drive and were pressing but Arteta got his subs wrong and they never looked like scoring. They have zero final product in the final third and Aubameyang is a fraction of the player from last season. Saka is their bright spark going forward, Pepe is never a 72m player. Gabriel was very good at the back but the rest were average. Fair play to Villa.1 point
