We didn't take our chances in the LCF. We need to look at our own performance and take responsibility for what we can control before we start looking for excuses. As for the league, two seasons in a row we faded badly after christmas. We can point to the number of games played at that stage with some justification, but we have evolved our squad significantly to try and address the deficiencies that arose. Third time's a charm for Gerrard, we hope.

Gerrard defended the player and the club with his comments quite skillfully- he had to be careful what he said in order to avoid be cited himself. If he had called out Clancy more directly, you can bet he would be up on a charge rather than the DU player. I thought his words were carefully chosen to get the message across about the hypocrisy and inconsistency of the decision and you only need to listen to the triggered reactions to see he got the point across perfectly. Whilst we might like bombastic statements and a PR war to be waged, I'm not sure that its any more effective in the long term other than making us feel better temporarily.

Enough of this, we have seen on a number of times where Morelos has got off with things, other times he hasn’t, just let it go,it was a bad tackle”. Born and bred Coatbridge Sellik man, Chris Iwelumo then has his say, “for me, it’s a red card. It’s taken a couple of looks, it’s a wreck less challenge”. Then, Iwelumo turns to Mikes and pointedly delivers, “On the back of that tackle, a manager has got to come out and protect his players, he has to come out if Morelos is being victimised. For me, it’s shocking”. Stewart’s face was a picture, looking off into mid distance with his hands crossed. On Sunday’s Sportsound, Jane Lewis interviewed Neil McCann and attempted twice to draw him on Michael Stewart’s comments. Neil refused to be drawn, but was in no doubt the tackle was a red card and wondered why Compliance Officer intervention was not being mentioned? I wonder if Stewart is beginning to isolate himself with some at PQ towers?

He tweeted a table of all historical clashed between Rangers and United on Thursday, only two games, both Scottish Cup ties, both won by the Dundee side. He tweeted nothing during or after the game, nothing even the result. Yesterday afternoon, immediately the SPFL revealed no further action, he tweeted a carefully cropped Dundee Courier picture of both Morelos and Edwards challenging from above waist height. Out of sight, out of mind. Black lives matter, unless you are a Sellik supporting referee, an employee of Sellik TV, an old rancid bigot, or a pompous prick?

When we got close, it was very noticeable that the refereeing standards changed and we got a whole lot more decisions made against us. I'm not convinced we'll be allowed to win the title. Even look at the League Cup final. An offside goal that mysteriously didn't get picked up.

Stewart is trying so hard to ingrain himself with the Celtic fans, that's it's now become quite embarrassing. He literally cannot bring himself to say anything that might be seen as neutral, let alone positive about Rangers in fear he might damage his standing with them. I think he knows this is his only shot of a career in journalism now. He knows that the rest of Scotland see him as a bit of a joke and fud now.

Yes, there is something in what you say. I would just like to know how you counteract that in this corruptible SPFL climate? The odds are stacked overwhelmingly in Lawwell's favour. We already tried to call out the injustices to last season's farcical end. Where was the support for change from the rest? Practically non existent! How many of our players have been cited by the CO compared to them? I've lost count. What team do these so called arbitrators follow? Then, there is the Scottish Sport media that, in the main, have "Rangers hater" on their CV? Even at Government level you have a Justice Minister who "mislays" vital evidence of hate crimes! Remind me what team he supports? I take the P.O V. that Stewarty articulated, PR wars are NOT the answer. In my view keep our tinder dry powder under lock and key. They only way to begin to change this is by winning trophies and most importantly, TITLES! That will be the time to roll out the cannons and open the ammunition box!

Don't think so. I think that she went once as part of a project before she started with us and made the "paradise" comment, probably as a neutral. I believe she's a NUFC fan.

Thats a good point although I would say that the overall disciplinary process and lack of consistency, is led by the CO. We have had numerous instances where instances which should have been cited by the CO, were not. Ultimately the explanation I heard for why no charge was brought against the DU player was that the three person panel could not come to a consensus. What sort of idiocy is this that three people, presumably with a vote each, couldn't find a majority. That defies logic and basic arithmetic.

It’s not Michael Stewart or the CO or anyone else who’s the issue here as far as I can see. The Morelos ‘tackle’ did get referred by CO to the referees panel who decided no action should be taken.

Bombastic statements are easily dismissed as frothing rage, no matter how justified we think it is. I understand your frustration because I share it, but tbh I don't know what the answer is other than calling things out when they happen and working to change the culture within the game and to improve refereeing standards. There is no doubt in my mind that the hammer thrower mentality that is allowed to continue is one of the major areas that holds back our game and stops us bringing through young players.

I agree the club needs to be stronger and am unclear whether or not they're doing this more privately than publicly. The manager has his part to play and I think he probably said as much as he could on the Edwards challenge without being cited himself. Of course, there's a good chance he can follow up when he's inevitably asked about it again this week.

He’s saying it was a red card offence and implying that even if the referee did not judge it as such, he would nonetheless have sent Morelos off if the circumstances had been reversed. As asil and stewarty say, quite clever.

If it hadn’t been announced I wonder how long it woulda took any of us to notice she’d gone. Not really any good time to lose your job but right in the middle of this pandemic seems a little more of a blow. Hopefully she won’t be idle for too long

Always best to get your retaliation in first if your going to get a red card make sure it's for something worthy I would tell my players . Thinking back to the battle of Goodison in 1964 when Johnny Giles started it on the fifth minute with an over the ball cracker on a toffee then Sandy Brown gave him a left hook that Henry Cooper would have been proud of Brown got sent off no cards back then , then it really got going tackles that would have the game abandoned these days but then Derek Temple was tack chest high by Willie Bell everyone thought he was dead taken off on a stretcher unconscious both teams back to the dressing rooms for a lecture from the referee then back to continue the beautiful game if anything the tackling got a lot worse and at the end Leeds won by the single goal and believe it or not only one more booking Aye it was a mans game back then ?

Remember when young you used to get a banger (squib) and take the powder out and make a little pile then light it to make a genie? That's the difference between us and THEM. They would have lite the fuse to make as loud a bang as possible pointing fingers at whomever needs to be blamed whether it be the player and/or the referee. Our board have always just made a genie which goes puff without the BANG. It's never to late for our board to stand up and issue a statement with some backbone like the old jumping jack firework, one that seems to kept banging and chase you around like what seemed an age....come on to f**k Rangers Board and stand up for your players and staff FFS.

The least this board could do is ask publically for clarification on every tackle until a clear standard is known.

Seems a strange one, thought she came across well in her interviewing the manager and players. In this closed stadium era online content is more valuable to the fans and we are reducing numbers in this area? Would have preferred we didn’t blow a huge sum on a tunnel refurb that wasn’t required and keep loyal decent staff at the club.
