Never take the game for granted I remember well travelling down to Berwick thinking we would be comfortable winners and that Rangers team was on a different planet to the current lot .3 points

Red Imps is a good draw. OK, it's away and on a plastic pitch but we won in Victoria Stadium v St Joseph's last season comfortably so no reason we won't this year too.3 points

I think they're exempt on account of them being classed as elite sporting events: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-532957792 points

A good team performance with some fine individual displays as well. I felt Ryan Jack turned in his best game of the season so far and was impressed with a few others such as Roofe, Goldson and Helander but, for me, Ryan Kent was the star man.2 points

It definitely needed freshening up, and brought up to date. Thompson, Nicholas and possibly Le Tissier had outstayed their welcome. They're just not relevant anymore. Are they being replaced by Micah Richards? I'd say that's a definite upgrade. I don't agree with positive discrimination but if people are getting there because they're doing their job to a high quality (and they're better than those that they're replacing) then what's the problem?2 points

No issue with freshening things up after a while, but change for Woke sake is a bad cowardly change.2 points

List of teams we can face tomorrow (it will be grouped before hand). Of course, this assume the seeded team from Round 2 qualifies, if they don't we'll play who defeated them. We can't play Aberdeen or Motherwell H/T Cads @rossco_bear2 points

Kent was sensational , but the good thing is that we have a core group of players turning in 8 out of 10 performances week after week , livi was the only slip up .2 points

I thought Goldson and Helander had a solid game but were not really tested as far as defending was concerned. The front men were quite fluid at times which was good to see. Midfield has some urgency so all round a good performance. Unlucky not to score more. MOTM goes to Ryan Kent, who combined skill with tenacity.2 points

Would like to avoid Servette2 points

I had no idea table napkins could play football. Hopefully we get them - easy enough to keep a clean sheet.2 points

That must be illegal, how can a league insist a player remains within it just because he plays for one of their clubs?1 point

Russians, Croatians et al ... even Famagusta. But lets get the Imps out of the way first.1 point

Kent for me. But a special mention for Davis who has come in and changed the dynamic in the midfield away from JacKamara with minimal fuss. I wondered if he might be a bit part played this year but on current form he’s a first pick.1 point

Straight forward. Plastic pitch but it’s a knockout so they’ll have to play - I’m confident we should win by a couple of goals at least.1 point

There are no easy games in European football, but if there were..........1 point

It should help that we went there last season, this team actually finished 4 points behind St Josephs too. It should be routine.1 point

Any of the 3 should be comfortable for us. In non-COVID times I’d have loved to draw Servette, they are just along the road from me. But, given we are still living in the pandemic world, I hope we get a home draw - just to guarantee there are no issues for the players.1 point

Kent and a big shout out to mclaughlin for that save. Although we were dominant if they had scored then it would have made for a nervy ending.1 point

Kent for me just ahead of Jack. Davis had a decent game as did Goldson and Helander.1 point

I don't think it's an assist. I think it depends on whether Tavernier would have got on the end of it without the 'keeper's parry. I count it as a key action - it is instrumental in the goal being scored.1 point
-
Wasn't the second goal credited as his assist? OK, the keeper spilled his shot but not sure if that rules out the assist stat for you nerds?1 point
-
Kent, for me. I was really pleased with his end product - he never got a goal or an assist, but his final ball always caused trouble.1 point

I think George Graham was the manager at the time. It happened so often,1-0 to The Arsenal was a common chant from the Arsenal support of the time.1 point

Too early really to be worrying about that. Itten and Roofe are still to hit their stride in the team and we've got Defoe and Aribo to come back. Gerrard said himself in the post match interview that these are the games we should be looking to bag a few more goals so seems he's aware of it. But if the defence keep going as they are for the majority of the season then we'll win the league. Arsenal won the league years ago winning most of their games 1-0.1 point

Good morning Teddy Bears. My first post on the forum so go easy. I'm a ST holder in CR2. Another three points in the bag, improved our goal difference and another record achieved. We played some lovely stuff at times, a tad frustrated we didn't take score more goals considering the quality of the chances we created. Good solid performances from all of the players with Ryan Kent being the stand out player for me. Hopefully the players make the most of the break and those on international duty come home safe and sound considering what that entails these days.1 point
