  1. Other sports manage substitutions without stopping the game. Why does football need stoppages and why is playing time at the unexplained discretion of a referee. Football still has one foot firmly rooted in the past.

  2. I would much rather see a Rangers youth player get game time than a liverpool reject.

  4. Politics is politics and should not be a part of sport. This "black lives matter" has gone on long enough, should be finished with as it is too one sided. Don't know if anyone agrees but taking the position, in which the guy was killed, is highlighting the method of what happened and not a protest and derogatory to the guys death.

  5. These last two seasons, Spiers has been a season ticket holder(along with his son) at ra Sellik Park. He is going to say what he has said. Effectively, he has made his bed, he must lie in it.

  7. I don't believe Rangers should get involved with the politics of a foreign country. I don't believe Rangers should be supporting the defunding of the police. If you think the Rangers should just because of the feelings of certain players then fair enough.

  8. That was my point...qualification by whom should be your question. A Glaswegian? Of course not...someone else on the planet..yes. There are many many 'Rangers' in this world.

  9. I think it is Glasgow Rangers as there are 'Rangers' team all over the world. Though I don't count fellow Americans in the mix, as they are absolutely clueless about anything 'Soccer' for the most part, here in the US we have the New York Rangers (Hockey), and Texas Rangers (Baseball). Even here in Little Rock our soccer team are the Little Rock Rangers. Over there you guys have Brora Rangers, Queen's Park...and many more. However, I always say my team are Rangers...and when they say "The Texas Rangers?" I say "NO...THEE Rangers" Cause there is only one.

  14. I read an article yesterday with detailed analysis showing that the youngest cohort of voters are significantly more right wing in their views than their big brothers and sisters. I remember in the late 1960's it appeared that the socialist revolution was upon us - the next you knew they were Thatcher's children worshipping loadsamoney and buying Sid's shares. Given the extreme lunacy now being promulgated, I think we might just be approaching a new tipping point.

  15. Diversity is NOT the universally good thing portrayed in the modern myth. It tends to destroy social cohesion and is almost always a source of division and conflict. Diversity does not enrich or strengthen human society and, like socialism, is promoted purely as an ideological challenge to the established order. Do not swallow the fiction that diversity is good for you. Inclusion as a concept is simply meaningless tosh, which is probably why it has been selected by the left as a pillar of modernity and political correctness. The reason why @compo has trouble understanding this shite is it's not intended to be understood. It's an assemblage of labels and mantras that cannot be measured, cannot to defined and therefore cannot be challenged. In a nutshell, like most of the socialist agenda, it's total horseshit and Rangers would be best ignoring it and focussing on something worthwhile.

  16. Everytime I, the "old" East German chap, read this or get it told by "Westerners", I have a wee laugh. People may get taught and told lot a lot about Marxism, but to weigh in or it up with Fascism is beyond joke. I know what they try to refer to, but in this context, it is the polar opposit.

  18. Really? Don’t see that in the OP. I see someone wanting the club to conform to their views. Nothing about taking a survey of female fans and how they feel about it.

  19. Surely we need more than a two-bob striker? (A joke for the pre-decimation generation.)

  21. It clearly favours the biggest clubs with the deepest playing squads, so it's almost certain to be a permanent change.
