Lifted from FF: sherbrook_loyal Administrator Staff member 8 minutes ago #1 1) Mike Ashley has no involvement with Castore. 2) Rangers are completely free of Mike Ashley. 3) Sports Direct do not have an exclusive deal. 4) Kits will be sold in multiple retailers. 5) Some retailers may have it sooner than others, but I’m not going into dates/specifics. 6) All money spent regardless of retailer goes to Castore/Rangers. 7) Buy, buy, buy!2 points

Agree completely @Bill when you watch old footage and listen to the commentators doing the game, and even when they added an expert sidekick, there are still plenty of "quiet" moments where you can just watch the action and let the action speak for itself. Nowadays the comms teams think they are a part of the game itself, when mostly they are an irritant. And dont get me started on the ex-player expert analysis on co-comms. They are there to add a players perspective on tactics, what the players are thinking, what they are trying to do, and mostly all we get is a confirmation of what we watched, like "what a great cross" or "goalie should have got that", which adds absolutely nothing to the game at all other than an annoying drone.2 points

Following on from the recent blog posts an article on Project Brave, Performance Schools was suggested. So here it is, just my opinions of course. https://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2020/07/01/project-brave-performance-schools-etc/2 points

Let's face it when you see an adult with a beer belly in a football top , well it makes my old head boggle.2 points

It really doesn’t matter what it looks like or the quality of it. As long as it’s within our spectrum of blue (which has changed a lot over the years) it will still sell in massive numbers. Have you ever heard of any Rangers fan who would possibly buy the home shirt say they are not buying it because they don’t like the collar, or the feel of it or any other reason? I know I haven’t.2 points

Honestly they still having ambitions of playing games before end of year?.1 point

If any fan of Rangers buys from Fatman they should be barred from Ibrox and if a ST holder does they should have ST cancelled.1 point

Think the club are going to be making a statement about this , but to be honest , every sports retailer will want these strips . This actually says more about who would shop in Sports Direct in the first place .1 point

Issam Jebali* I don't trust those links, anyway. Hastie on loan to a Premiership side would be good for him.1 point

Only 50,000 available for pre-order mate - and they apparently arrive August 1st.1 point

For some reason I'm feeling optimistic about us finally bringing some trophies home. Which is slightly strange when you consider we don't know when we will be playing again or when I'll be able to sit in y seat at Ibrox again or who will be wearing the new shirt. The news of 40,000 season tickets being sold makes me think I'm not the only one.1 point

British sports commentators have a really annoying habit of talking when there's nothing to talk about or when it adds nothing at all to the viewer's appreciation. I've noticed a big difference in Scandinavia where commentators generally only talk when there's something worth saying. In the UK it's as if the viewer can't be trusted to watch TV unguided, in case they think for themselves or draw their own conclusions. We present TV in the same way we present radio commentary, which when you think about it, is completely daft. So I agree that turning the sound down is often the best way to watch a game on TV.1 point

I don't think we are mate - I think that there is much more thought that goes into what we spend and where. I know we spent a lot of money (for us) on keeping Leon King but that lad has tons of talent and could either be a stalwart of our team for many years or recognise a very sizeable sales price - but there is much more thought goes into what the money should be spent on at the Academy.1 point

I can’t watch the games with the canned crowd noise. It’s pathetic, as if they know the actual quality of football is so bad they have to try to generate an atmosphere to mask the over-rated product on view. Watching with just the comms and players noise is slightly better but I have found myself just muting it altogether and watching the action with no noise at all. You can follow the game for yourself just like watching it from the terrace, without the full pitch vision. Kind of like I end up doing in a Ian Crock of Shit/ Andy Wanker comms game anyway.1 point
