  1. One last point , but I think it’s very significant , the stadiums and clubs that Tom mentions that they have been to , Barca , Real , Milan , Liverpool and Man Utd to name some , when he talks about their club shops , what he doesn’t mention is the sheer footprint of these things , Real’s is 3 floors and every floor is massive . The footprint of the “megastore “ at Ibrox is tiny , and unless they are thinking about moving to where Edinston house is , I just don’t see how we capitalise on the demand that’s about to hit them .

  2. Do we really need an answer as to what we could do with it now? We may have another use for it in 10-30 years, but once we've sold it and it's been built on then the chance is gone forever. We missed the chance with the Hinshelwood estate and look at it now. Horrible flats deliberately hiding the stadium and making the area look more undesirable, and we're making the same mistake again. Flats are going to be built on it. More residents means more people to object when we ask for things like the fanzone. It may be only used every second Saturday but it sill offers parking for the disabled. Presumably any replacement parking is going to mean more of a trek for them. Perhaps fine for us able-bodied but my mate struggles to walk from the Albion and he'd be unable to go if he has to walk further. The lack of communication from the club is dreadful as well. I'm presuming that they are deliberately holding off saying anything until the season ticket sales are complete as they don't have to worry about those who are unable to walk not renewing (assuming that they're going to supply a replacement area for car parking, but who knows?

  4. The released players are as expected. I say it every summer but I think we need to learn from mistakes and prioritise quality. Every season we spread our wage budget thin when what we need are big players, Hagi being a good example.

  5. I don't understand why we let Wes go. I can't see us getting a stand-in as good as him...unless he didn't want to stay as a 2nd string keeper that is.

  7. Now that the season has ended, how should we conclude the Gersnet Prediction League? I reckon there are three options: Null and void End the GPL as it stands Points-per-game I'm not brave enough to decide unilaterally, so let's have a poll!

  8. It's a good point, the shop (it's not really mega-anything) will have to move if we want to maximise our merchandising effort .... unless there are big plans for online sales and/or a number of other outlets.

  9. Clicked the link for Rayhaan Tulloch, and there is a list of comparable players on the right. Jizz Hornkamp and Adil Titi are two that appeared ,and could be worth signing purely for the comedy value ?.

  10. Thought we had to have this car park when the club deck got built?

  11. He is a great stand-in keeper for us but you don't save goals while bench warming,he deserves chance to go elsewhere and hopefully become a first team regular.

  12. So three days after handing the Scum the title for an unfinished season, a season that could not be completed behind closed doors (due to financial strains et al) in what would essentially have amounted to a 4-week schedule with 2 games each, they make a 180° turn and want the new season started behind closed doors? You couldn't make it up. BTW, the first OF, in their lair, would be up roundabout the end of August, early September. Bet365 should start a bet on whether that date will be put back to the furthest date of the first batch of matches, so the Scum get a full house ...

  13. I think right back was his more favoured position, but he was never really going to be challenging Tav for that spot.

  14. Surely it's not about rating a player. It's about respect. Unless he made no effort then he should always be thanked for his service to Rangers.

  15. What a joke Scotland has become. This is what happens when yahoos run the show (and I'm not just talking about football).

  16. You might be able to back that point of view if you could first explain why we can't win games after New Year. But in any case, all these "nearly there" assumption are entirely based on Celtic not wielding their larger resources and responding. Granted they're not a great team but neither are we and they are currently achieving much more than us over a season. We're not two points behind, we're 13 points behind and that isn't a close race. What I'm saying is we have a mountain still to climb and at the moment we're barely leaving base camp. If we want to get to the top we are going to have to look at the more important elements of the club that are fundamentally not delivering. Because whichever way you stack the cards, the trophy cupboard is still bare and every season Celtic get that CL slot we have less chance of filling it. Key proposition - if we rest on our laurels now and congratulate ourselves on how far we've come then we're fucked. At the very least I want to see significant investment and changes at board level, better board leadership and a change of manager if we fail again so badly next season.

  17. The SPFL couldn't extend their league programme to help a fellow member win a European final. But the same organisation can end their league with eight matches remaining to award the title to a team that haven't yet won the title. Isn't sporting integrity a strange thing .
