I hope the Rangers management team has a plan here. I am very happy with the statements and the stand we are taking against this very obvious corruption, but I can't see clubs backing the club's call for an inquiry. The clubs need the money asap and that will be the only thing the majority of them will be focussing on. They will vote to secure the funding as quickly as possible. If we can get that issue sorted I am sure the inquiry is a certainty. Otherwise, few clubs will risk going out of business for the sake of sporting integrity. Whatever happens here, I am begging my fellow supporters to remember this behaviour from the other clubs and please do not give them any money in any way ever again. They are all happy to take our money, but none of them willing to give any respect to our club when it matters. All we asked was to be treated fairly but time and time again they demonstrate that sporting integrity is only a phrase used when it can be applied negatively to our club. I care not one bit how many of these clubs go to the wall. Indeed, I hope many of them do.5 points

If we had a decent journalist out there ... as well as CEOs of all clubs concerned, you would demand answers to important yet utterly simple questions: - Who came up with the first SPFL proposal? - Who decided that Friday 17 o'clock was the deadline? - Who spilled the voting numbers before all votes were in? - Who decided that any "non-voters" actually get 28 days? - Who decided that non-voters get time, but Yes- or No-voters not? And not some assumptions or conjecture, but the people behind those plans and "rulings". Simple question very much in the interest of any club concerned. As well as a rule by rule explanation why the above could be and had to be done as it was.2 points

MarkConfusion is usually spot on with his information - interesting to see if he is right this time and what bloodletting and backstabbing it may lead to in the SPFL.1 point

They already lining them up 1 by 1 to step into line. Ross county chairman was first up. They back the corrupt(of course they do) and will want Rangers to put up the evidence or shut up and go away.. We have played it well so far, but I cant help but think the next few moves of this shit show are critical.1 point

Neil McCann's second half contribution was immense, a true Ranger.1 point

They used to call it the WM formation. Don't see why they couldn't bring it back. You only need one centre half nowadays.1 point

I wouldn't be suprised if Dundees vote turned into a yes before this all can get uncovered. Few brown envelopes heading North1 point

We’ve always known that the SPFL ( & it’s predecessor the SPL) were incompetent & corrupt. Looks like Friday’s ‘vote’ has now convinced many others too. How much longer can the current SPFL circus of Doncaster, MacKenzie & McLennan continue ?1 point

I'm not sure UEFA will be able to make a blanket decision. It all seems to be up in the air. I suspect the big leagues, big clubs and the TV companies will make the big decisions.1 point

The null and void will come from UEFA and may be as early as next week. May explain why the SPFL wanted the yes vote done by Friday?1 point

From Chelsea only that I or my dad have seen play; Hughie Gallagher, George Graham, Ian Britton, David Hay (yes i know!), Pat Nevin, Eddie McCreadie, Gordon Durie, Joe McLaughlin, David Speedie, Steve Clarke, Craig Burley, John Spencer, Robert Fleck (biggest let down) Billy Gilmour (the future) and my dads favourite Charlie Cooke. Some hit and miss at club and country level, but i feel most would improve the current squad.1 point

All these same clubs tried to kill Rangers and failed, with the same tactics that are being used by SPFL now, so I do not care about any other club, haven't since they all attempted to kill us. Hopefully this is the start of the rats that run Scottish football being flushed out.1 point

Thanks to you Stevie, laying it out as it is, excellent work1 point

The SPFL vote on Friday ( in which clubs were being blackmailed into accepting to get financial payments) was allegedly to complete the championship & leagues 1&2 but was in reality a forerunner to awarding Celtic the premiership in the coming weeks1 point

And also politicians who, just having had a recent pay rise now will get a 10% increase due to having to work from home. I would have thought working from home is more likely to save you money.1 point

I’ve listened to the whole Sportsound interview with Scott Gardiner, the Inverness Caley Thistle CEO. Seems to me SPFL knew Partick Thistle, Inverness CT & Dundee were going to vote NO and the proposal would fail. And the 3 clubs did vote accordingly as Scott Gardiner said in the interview by stating the various times each club voted before 5o’clock. Then IIRC the SPFL put out a statement last night just after 5 o’clock claiming the Championship had voted 7-2 with one club not voted. I think we’re supposed to believe that club is Dundee. It seems to me that the SPFL, realising the proposal would fail, went back to Dundee to try & get them to change their mind. But there was a problem. They’d already voted. So the SPFLmade up a story about the email not being received despite there being evidence (which Scott Gardiner has) that Dundee had already voted. If this is true then those responsible at the SPFL should be suspended from their positions immediately pending an enquiry. Also are the SFA going to get involved ? Or are they going to hide behind the SPFL like they did with us in 2012?1 point

Things are so boring I probably had a think. Id go with Forster now - I think he is a cracking keeper, just went to the wrong club Southampton. Gordon a close second but they have not had a keeper to boast about compared to us. (Goram, Woods, Klos, Snelders, Charbonnier, Niemi, McGregor would all easily be ahead). At the back, probably Mjallby with Vallgaren (sp). McNamara was a player I liked. When he left Dunfermline I was hoping we would have got him. Rogan has to go in all day long - he was a penalty every game ? Forster McNamara Mjallby Vallgaren Rogan Thom Lambert Moravcik Di Canio Larsson Van Hooijdonk Cant actually believe I just did that. Scotty your a bad man to generating this thread.1 point

44 in 57 gives Greaves an average of 0.77, well ahead of Rooney, 53 in 119 @ 0.45 and Charlton, 49 in 106 @ 0.46 and comfortably ahead of Lineker, 48 in 80 @ 0.60. Tom Finney got 30 in 76 @ 0.39 but he got most of his from the wings. Greaves doesn’t do as well as Nat Lofthouse. 30 in 33 @ 0.90. Of these only Lofthouse and Lineker were true centre forwards. Greaves was the classic inside forward, auxiliary striker (Ralph Brand) Charlton played both inside and centre, latterly midfield. Rooney is a mid-fiielder. How many would they have scored as centres only? Perhaps not as many because their talents of coming onto chances created by others would have been stifled in one to one battles with centre halves. How much does a striker’s average diminish the longer he plays? Did Lofthouse get out at the right time? Never mind the stats. Old @compo was probable right - again.1 point
