  1. I’ve listened to the whole Sportsound interview with Scott Gardiner, the Inverness Caley Thistle CEO. Seems to me SPFL knew Partick Thistle, Inverness CT & Dundee were going to vote NO and the proposal would fail. And the 3 clubs did vote accordingly as Scott Gardiner said in the interview by stating the various times each club voted before 5o’clock. Then IIRC the SPFL put out a statement last night just after 5 o’clock claiming the Championship had voted 7-2 with one club not voted. I think we’re supposed to believe that club is Dundee. It seems to me that the SPFL, realising the proposal would fail, went back to Dundee to try & get them to change their mind. But there was a problem. They’d already voted. So the SPFLmade up a story about the email not being received despite there being evidence (which Scott Gardiner has) that Dundee had already voted. If this is true then those responsible at the SPFL should be suspended from their positions immediately pending an enquiry. Also are the SFA going to get involved ? Or are they going to hide behind the SPFL like they did with us in 2012?

  2. Currently listening to BBC Shortbread. Scott Gardener of Inverness CT has just appeared and simply explained the timeline of yesterday's voting; ICT, Partick Thistle, and Dundee all voted no within several minutes of each other. Doncaster claims the Dundee vote was not received, then called Peter Lawwell at 17.01hrs. I suspect Gardener has holed the good ship SPFL below the waterline? Both Tom English and Michael Stewart have backed the Rangers statement reference bullying. Rangers have called for the suspension of Doncaster and SPFL legal adviser, Rod McKenzie. The consensus on Beeb Scotland at the moment is that the whole voting process and SPFL Proposal stinks, "guns have been held to heads". The Holicom Hamster must work harder.

  3. Just watch how many players go on loan from Parkhead to the clubs that gave them another tainted title

  4. i've been following it all day and i'm now none the wiser either. From my understanding , it now seems that Dundee hold all the cards ,and have the clout to relegate Hearts etc. Aberdeen seemed to be voting against it, but late on, ended up in favour , which might suggest that Liewell has now got the same influence with Dave Cormack that he had with Stewart Milne. All reeks to the high heavens for me.

  5. If there are individuals at the SPFL who have or attempted to rig the vote then their positions at the SPFL are untenable. They must go.

  6. So it seems our club are on the warpath, let's get behind them 100% here. Battle lines have been been drawn and we must keep on the front foot. Given we have people like English and Stewart backing us shows SPFL are there for the taking.

  7. The SPFL will concentrate on finding the whistleblower and punishing them, ignoring the central issue behind all this. Watch out for deflection tactics, rubbishing of our claims, not a hope in hell of suspensions of Lawwell's poodles, and the vote going through to ensure the bheasts get the title awarded them. If just one word of our statement is not 100% accurate, this is where the reply will concentrate. The Bheasts run the show, and no amount of pressure from us will be allowed, no matter how true and in the right we are. Oh I so much want to be wrong in this and some bheast heads roll, especially that rhat McKenzie who was the chief title-stripper in 2012 and was the one who screamed at McCoist during a room-full meeting of the head honchos in 2012 "you c*nts have been cheating us for years" Note use of US when he means celtic, not the SPFL, and not Harper McLeod, who he supposedly works for.

  8. Things are so boring I probably had a think. Id go with Forster now - I think he is a cracking keeper, just went to the wrong club Southampton. Gordon a close second but they have not had a keeper to boast about compared to us. (Goram, Woods, Klos, Snelders, Charbonnier, Niemi, McGregor would all easily be ahead). At the back, probably Mjallby with Vallgaren (sp). McNamara was a player I liked. When he left Dunfermline I was hoping we would have got him. Rogan has to go in all day long - he was a penalty every game ? Forster McNamara Mjallby Vallgaren Rogan Thom Lambert Moravcik Di Canio Larsson Van Hooijdonk Cant actually believe I just did that. Scotty your a bad man to generating this thread.

  9. From my master class for weans about a year ago. The old ritual lineup at the kickoff was GK 1, RB 2, LB 3, RH 4, CH 5, LH 6, OR 7, IR 8, CF 9, IL 10, OL 11. No names or numbers on the jerseys in early times. The formation was more fluid than that during the game. The centre half in the three was really a centre fullback so the backline was RB, CH, LB. As play developed with a team attacking on the right, the RB advanced but rarely beyond the half line. The CH also came forward but not as far as the RB and the LB dropped back so there was a diagonal across the pitch. If the attack was on the left the diagonal swung the other way, pivoting on the CH, hence the description of the CH as the pivot, usually in journalese “the big pivot”. The weakness of the system is obvious. A clearance out of defence into the space behind a RB in an advanced position for a pacy winger to run onto caused problems unless Eric Caldow was there with his speed of thought and foot to come across to the rescue. Willie Telfer was the last of the old pivots. Bill Patterson was the nominal CH in a four man defence of RB, Shearer, RH, Davis, CH Patterson, LB Caldow. Davis played between RB and CH and slightly forward of the line. The half backs were theoretically defenders but one usually was more forward going and the other defensive eg Davis and Billy Stevenson. The inside forwards were attackers but one was often a fetcher and carrier - Sammy Baird, perhaps - and the other a craftsman to unlock the defence and unleash the wingers - McMillan the prime example. Rangers in the last of the fifties and the sixties played 4-2-4 before it was invented. Hearts were the first team to officially play that system with Danny Ferguson wearing 7 on his jersey playing RB. (“Gerrup yer wing, Fergyssunn”, cried the Gorgie afficionados.) If a team was very lucky and had John Greig, the defensive/forward distinction for the half back didn’t matter because he could play both in the same game. Is the spectacle better now? Yes if you’re watching City or Barcelona but for the most part, because of its flaws, the nominal 2-3-5 was more exciting and less predictable

  11. Because our fans continue to fund all these clubs after 2012, it's no wonder they know they can do the bidding of they Timmy masters with no financial repercussions. If there were more like me (I grudgingly stopped going to away matches as soon as we returned to the top division) we would rule the roost. Depressing.

  12. If this crock of shit goes through then its up to us fans to hurt all the clubs that voted yes by denying them the blue pound although that failed last time.

  18. So no denial from SPFL in their response to Rangers statement. Just show us what you've got or shut the f'up. Some may read their reply as even more bullying. Keep your powder dry Mr Park. Speak to independent tribunal and no one else. Let them stew over what we have.

  20. The ninety minute discussion on yesterday's events concluded with Tom English saying, "I spoke with someone this morning who has been involved with Scottish football administration for five decades. He says yesterday was the worst he has ever seen for machiavellian manoeuvres". WTF? Where are Peter's Firefighters? I think I can hear the megaphones at PQ bellowing, 'Chris, Chris, where are you, hurry'!

  24. Good read, well worth the barrage of adverts. They shot down our proposal saying it wasn't legal in company law, then insisted on a 5pm deadline despite their own rules stating 28 days to respond. This goes too deep to be incompetence. Corrupt to the core.

  25. We had goalkeeper, 2 FULL-BACKS(who sometimes overlapped), 2 centre half's(who would come up for corners at times),2 half-backs/inside forwards, 2 wingers and 2 forwards. Then as European games came to the fore modern day tactics/line-ups started to evolve.

  26. Interesting. Ive never thought about their XI. Cant really think of a goalkeeper to start with, we have always been blessed with good keepers. I never really rated Bonnar. Douglas was a bombscare and Borac is just a twat. Larsson is a shoe in, he was world class. And Moravcik. Would put Lambert, Andreas Thom and Di Canio in. Anton Rogan for his multiple assists must get in.

  27. Correct!. I am at the end of my tether with the corruption in Scottish football, I really don't see how we can win? the resolution that Rangers submitted was the best way to go for every club, barring one! but yet again we receive no support and we stand alone again! I really don't see a way out for us in Scottish football?. I'm at the stage where I am considering not renewing my ST! what's the point if we keep getting slapped down?.

  33. Self Interest is Best 2. Today, Police Scotland issued a formal warning to a group of Aberdeen players gathered together in a local park for a training session. At the weekend, the plethora of Dandies at PQ had a broadcast stroll in the park. Big Dick backed up by the binner of sporting integrity Wullie Miller, introduced Aberdeen majority shareholder, Dave Cormack live from Florida. Good news, Dave and fellow investors were pumping in a further £2 million to aid the Dons through the current crisis. Cormack wants the footballing authorities to arrive at quick decisions to progress the game. He banged on for some time, but really he was just saying what Peter told him to say. Twice bankrupt Wullie added batter to Cormack's fish fry, "heartening to hear monies in the bank, another £2 million being added, most other clubs in Scotland will not have such good fortune". Big Dick concurred. Wullie poured vinegar on questions reference Aberdeen's ground relocation. Well, Cormack had just got quite salty on the matter, I suspect it has been parked but Peter had fail failed to brief Dave on that matter. When will someone at PQ ask about Safety Certificates for two stands at Pittodrie and suggest further revenue should be utilised to bring the dung heap, up to date? Tom English and Pat Bonner joined Big Dick and Wullie, Tom settled the expectant audience immediately, "ah spoke to Peter yesterday". Tom is quite important. Alan Preston spoke but he is a member of the Foundation of Hearts, and the Jambos are no longer considered a 'model club'; so Big Dick introduced Derek McInnes. Surprisingly, Derek agreed with Cormack, and soothing noises chorused in the background. Derek went further, "Celtic should be awarded the title, only Rangers supporters would argue". Barry Ferguson was next up, and he agreed with Derek, who agreed with Cormack, who had been Petered, and Tom oversaw that everyone was in a state of Holicom compliance. Today's Beeb website has former Compliance Officer, Anthony McGlennan bravely scolding UEFA and demanding ra Sellik be awarded the title. Apparently, Tony is a Lawyer and knows stuff, although I suspect the fact he is a current Sellik season ticket holder trumps all else. Further comfort can be found as Rangers Colts result at Inverness remains front and center from the 16th February. This coming Saturday, PQ will have live interviews with Aggie McGlumpher, Lolipop Lady at St Aloysius, Tom Boyd, Skipper of FC Holicom , and Fabio, spear sharpener for the Swiss Guard. I wonder what unites their collective thoughts? We know Big Dick has a Saturday column in the Aberdeen Press and Journal. At the conclusion of last season, his SPL Premiership team of the season included four Aberdeen players and one Ranger. On Saturday last, he eulogised Beeb Scotland for showing the entire 1991 Scottish Cup final between Motherwell and Dundee United; however, this Sunday's fare of the 2002 final deflated him, "tomorrow evening's offering is the 2002 final which doesn't particularly excite me". Good to see Big Dick continues to flash his Rangers hating credentials. I vote Big Dick to be FC Holicom's goal keeper, plenty of competition for places. I should add a note of caution, we have seen it all before and know how it ends. How long before FC Holicom becomes a separate entity?
