I think we can assume that under no circumstances will Rangers be allowed to win anything this season. We could field the greatest football team in history and it would make no difference to the outcome. We can see clearly what is happening and who is implementing this agenda. What is most impressive is the ability of a small number of instigators to control so effectively so many referees, commentators, etc. Everyone knows what is going on but not one person its prepared to break ranks and call it out, not even anyone at Rangers. Like I say, that's impressive.3 points

Pacific Quay Priorities. As stated a few posts past, yesterday was the day for BBC Scotland's weekly Media Review. An allocated 40 minutes is a short time to cover a week's events. It is hosted by John Beattie(former rugby internationalist), co-presenter Anne Marie Watson lobs the odd question to the main protagonists, Stuart Cosgrove and Eammon O'Neill. Three topics were up for discussion(review) yesterday lunchtime. The resignation of Scottish Finance Minister for sending 270 text messages to a 15/16 year old schoolboy was first, selection of journalists attending Prime Ministerial Briefings was second, and third was Michael Stewart's rant reference James Traynor. Derek MacKay's resignation was allocated 7 minutes discussion, DrStu' wants a timeline on the story. The News, travel, weather, and sports news intervened for nine minutes, PM briefings lasted ten minutes, and Michael Stewart's vanity was awarded a scripted 14 minutes. H-u-n bashing was worth double the amount of time a Scot's Minister's resignation amid creepy circumstances. We should remember this, it is an indicator of PQ priorities. DrStu' attended Hull UNiversity, his degree was in Drama. In his 68th year, he proved he still has the skills to script and choreograph a fifteen minute four-hander. John Beattie introduced the topic and spent a couple of minutes setting the scene. Already, both DrStu' and O'Neill were guffawing. There existed a real crackling of excited anticipation, Anne Marie yelped too, and Beattie inquired if he was accurately setting the scene? DrStu' assured him, he was doing very well. More laughing interfered before DrStu' embarked on a several minute soliloquy; Michael Stewart is fealess, both Stewart and Thompson are the best commentators on Scottish football ever, far better than the likes of MacPherson and Montford, and Stewart was highlighting the 'dark hand' claiming ra Sellik are racist. He legitimised these assertions by stating, "both Michael and Steven have opinions that matter because both have played the game at a substantial level"? More guffawing ensued and I am thinking, Michael Stewart's 15 year career barely includes 150 first team appearances, is that substantial? Beattie mockingly scolds DrStu' for his long rant and apologises to O'Neill for not having the time to extrapolate. No problem, Eammon is not interested in football and begins with, "I've never heard of nor met James Traynor and wouldn't know him if I bumped into him". It didn't stop him delivering his scripted lines about Rangers being part of the story. Whataboutery was raised by DrStu', informed us the word emanated from the Slugger O'Toole website. He explained you are not allowed to morally condemn a lorry bomb by reminding those participating of the time the UDA planted a bomb. Do you see what DrStu' did there? References a general principle, but specifically highlights the UDA. Jim Traynor is a former colleague of three of the four talking and O'Neill's opening statement sees DrStu' anxious to supply the necessary information. Traynor operates Level Five, Anne Marie wants to knoe more? "It's a PR firm operating out of Airdrie" shouts DrStu'. More laughing and then DrStu' introduces a bit of whataboutery, "Apparently he told us all in his Daily Record column that Rangers had died". A big theatrical laugh followed, then DrStu' introduced, the concept of, 'there's a squirrel'. ie Traynor had deliberately ran interference on a SKY interview conducted by a Formula 1 journo. Again, he explained the meaning of there's a squirrel but did not tell us the derivation. We await Phil McFournames for that one. I hope all four receive their much deserved Equity Cards, a bravo performance? A wee aside to Dr Eammon O'Neill. Having listened to you for several years, I know you place great emphasis on the principles of accuracy and objectivity in Journalism. Your go to area of expertise is the American political system, particularly the post-war era; when referencing a contravention of those dearly held principles. Many years ago, I was required to attend a lecture on 'the Expansion of the Vietnam War'. One Knight of Camelot is held responsible, he was an ever present for seven/eight years, Robert McNamara. Many recognised McNamara's determination to sacrifice a country's principles to ensure a personal victory. McNamara searched for and found an Air Force General that would promote Carpet Bombing of North Vietnam. Paul Harkins strong suit went before him, "he willed himself to believe what he wished to believe and reject what he wished to reject". This became a tenet of what became known as, 'the McNamara Monarchy'. Setting a squirrel running would conclude with McNamara telling lies to the President to achieve a preferred prejudice. The Cosgrove Monarchy has survived for 25 years at PQ. Your participation in yesterday's scripted four-hander(remember, you have never met and would not know James Traynor) compromised your dearly held journalistic principles. Playing the straight man for DrStu' to deliver lines of mis and disinformation will be remembered too. You have sold yourself, paid the asking price to take your place in the court of the Cosgrove Monarchy. You can ask Jum Spence if it's worth it? Oh, I loved your contribution to Cosgrove's 25 year celebration of broadcasting on BBC Scotland, "Stuart is an intellectual colossus". You were easy to identify, please continue to practice your off stage guffawing.3 points

Good effort @plgsarmy Looks like it was a difficult task to get voted on given two people were already in place.2 points

Same here BD. Must admit I'm a little surprised more of our generation wouldn't go for that one - some fantastic memories in that strip - Leeds, CL, McCoist scoring and wheeling away about to burst out crying. Tons of happy memories.2 points

I see a board happy to sort out jollies to fancy golf courses rather than deal with some real issues just now. Also, I take it the club wont make any real money out of this?2 points

Only @Bluedell got the correct answer to this question. There is only one correct answer and that is number 9. The others are good, but that's the greatest one.2 points

Once again Celtic have seized the initiative and now control the narrative in the press. Despite evidence that their fans were racially abusing Morelos, they've now managed to get Sky to make a public apology which then implies it didn't happen. At the same time Griffiths is in the press saying that these silly charges are ruining football. This is from the man who stamped on a player and didn't actually get a charge for it. The brass neck of that organisation is incredible, but it's working. We can say what we want about how they go about their business. It may be despicable, underhand and bordering on corrupt, but they're getting away with it. It is making a big difference to the points in this championship and yet still our club remains silent. I am beyond sick and tired of the refereeing performances. I think we all are. I always defended the club's approach of a combination of dignified silence and behind closed doors challenges. ITS NOT WORKING! In fact, the referees are now not only above reproach but they now appear to be flaunting it. Some of the treatment of our players is disgusting and yet there's nothing we seem willing to do about it. These last few games have pushed a patient man to the point of despair. Openly criticising referees and challenging this in the press cannot do us any more harm than we are already experiencing, so I wish we'd start it now. This board really is not performing and I'm sick of it. It seems we have madmen in charge, afterall they do say that madness is doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result. Nothing is changing for the better, in fact I think it's getting much worse.2 points

I think that you're ignoring the fact that it's Mike Ashley, so it's not a normal dispute. We've already seen that SD have put pressure on Elite not to pay us, and they have no wish to make it finish any time soon. Remember that SD opposed our claim against Elite when it was really nothing to do with them. Ashley and King dislike each other and each one wants to win for their egos, Ashley in particular. I genuinely believe that it's not about money for SD and they are just going to make it as difficult as they can for Rangers and therefore it will run for many years yet.1 point

To be fair, Christie got a 2 game ban for grabbing Morelos' crown jewels. The fact he was injured during the ban has been completely ignored....1 point

Willing to bet that the Rangers charges that have been postponed will magically be dealt with in the week leading up to the next OF game.1 point

For goodness sake this started with a post re partnership with a golf club and descended into farce. If it is to be kept as a topic should be removed into one of the other forums.1 point

In all seriousness, the amount of people in the UK with serious gambling problems is beyond belief (I see it on a daily basis due to my job) and I'm sure we've all witnessed, first hand, the problems caused by alcohol. Golf may be very boring but boredom is rarely hazardous. Trump may be an objectionable politician but he's a democratically elected foreign head of state - and there are far worse unelected foreign heads of state who hardly anyone in the UK ever get worked up about. There's plenty of shady Russian and Arabic money tied up in the EPL. Football is a business (unfortunately). Gambling and alcohol cause far more damage in Scottish/UK communities than Donald Trump does. Aim your anger where it might make a difference.1 point

Genuine question, does anyone think Rangers PR department and Traynor in particular are doing a good job? I've some insight into how PR 'works' and fully accept that it's a bit like an iceberg in that you can see 20% of it but the other 80% you can't. But the Morelos interview translation is a farce, I've no idea who carried out the translation but this wasn't some mistranslation of a colloquialism, this was someone adding stuff Morelos simply didn't say. Who would do that, and why? Rangers must have sanctioned Morelos to do this interview, they must have known what the line of questioning was going to be and had a good idea what Morelos was going to say in reply. So I assume someone from Rangers was involved and sanctioned this. Morelos has been largely kept from the media, other than Rangers TV he's been conspicuous by his absence from the tabloids and broadcast media so I'm struggling to believe this wasn't agreed at a fairly high level at the club beforehand. Following the Morelos car story it's really not a great few days for us, and Morelos, who is entirely blameless is all of this, continues to be at the eye of a bad PR storm. Michael Stewart isn't daft, he's cultivated his 'shock-jock' straight talking, not afraid to upset people persona pretty well which is why he's in demand from broadcasters. Believe it or not people will listen to him, controversy brings listeners/viewers, far more than insight or considered opinion does. Them's the times we live in, folks. Stewart has a problem because he ignored his producer, who I suspect was shouting in his ear the other night not to slander Jim Traynor or the Daily Record or anyone else for that matter, and Stewart ignored them and carried on with his diatribe. That's actually a problem at the BBC, even in the sport's department ignoring the producer see's you being taken off air for a period of time. I'd be very surprised if anyone sues anyone else. Stewart will get a gig somewhere else, he'll continue to develop himself as the poor-man's Scottish fitba Rush Limbaugh instead of offering genuine insight into teams and players, he'll start quarrels and kick those he feels will further his persona. Scottish football is crying out for an authoritative voice, someone with genuine insights and understanding and who is capable of explaining the intricacies of the beautiful game to us ignorant fans. That person could have been Stewart, but it won't be. Realising his potential has always been a problem for Micheal Stewart.1 point

The clip from the SPFL higlights doesn't show it in the right angle, the below one does. That the ref does not issue a red card is astonishing, that the shadow cabal of the CO does not ban him for that after watching it in slow motions reeks of distortion of competition. Had Alfredo done that, he'd be watching on from the sidelines for quite some time.1 point

So the club have got an apology after one attack on Traynor, but nothing on the continuous xenophobic and racist attacks on Morelos? Hmm. The club's priorities are all wrong.1 point

He does what he's paid to do the problem lays not with him but his employers and in particular the absentee Chairman who I'm informed over and over again just doesn't get the PR angle.1 point

As I've said previously, I think we'd all be a little more patient with the club if we actually felt they were doing something about it. However there's no evidence at all that they're doing anything other than bending over to be shafted time and time again. I was furious after that game, and although I was disappointed at the result, but it was the gross injustice of the refereeing that got to me. The facts are clear so why don't we just state facts in a club statement? Equally, we allow that moronic creatures Stewart, Hartson, Sutton, and all the others to make stuff up about our club and every time all we get is a 'dignified' silence. It's not good enough. Our directors are failing our club, our players, it's management team, and the fans. Get the finger out or just get out. We need people with political savvy or balls to make changes. At the moment this board appears to have neither. I'm so annoyed as you can tell, but others like me who have only ever praised the board are now dissenting too.1 point
