I think we should take positives from this game. Yes, we lost but we outplayed Celtic and that stands us well for the league games against them. I only had a couple of reservations about the game. Instead of sending on Defoe I think Stewart should have been put on because he might have added that bit guile when we started to chase the game and started to send balls into the area with more hope than expectation. I just hope none of our players picked up injuries that rule them out of the game on Thursday. So, let's move on and look forward to winning on Thursday and advancing in the Europa league.5 points

First of all we lost to willie Collum today . As for Brandon barker ..... what the fuck is he doing at ibrox? Gerrard got his substitutions wrong again. Stewart should have made that starting 11 today5 points

The team that started the match had enough chances to win that match 3/4 nothing, nowt to do with SG subs4 points

Mack1950, I think you are a bit harsh on Kamara who, along with Arfield, was industrious and part of the reason our midfield outplayed them. Having said that I believe we need someone with a bit more bite and pace than Arfield. Although Kent did not have his best game he was tightly marked by Celtic players which allowed others the space to operate. I agree, however, that it would be beneficial to see Kent do his work nearer the opponent's goal rather than meandering across the pitch 40 or so yards from the goal. Leaving aside the terrific shot from Jack, today's game also showed that we need players, other than Morelos, to be stepping up and scoring goals in the big games.3 points

At the end of the day, they had 5 (FIVE) shots at goal in the whole game, one on target and that was an off-side goal. When did that last happen? 11-1 corners, we had 16 shots, 7 on target, three world-class saves, a saved penalty and two penalties denied. Despite the weather, despite, being underdogs, despite no Davis and a manager who throw on Barker ... As I said above, play like that at the Scumhut and we will horse them.3 points

I think that because I can think of two or three occasions when he should have scored but didn't and it should have been easier to score than miss. The 1-0 game at Ibrox last season when it thankfully didn't make a difference and the 2-3 loss to them at Ibrox under Murty when it certainly did make a difference come to mind. Sure they are hard games but not harder than some of the European games where he has been prolific.3 points

Feel we have to get real here we lost to a controversial goal(if VAR had been in operation) but as a staunch hater of VAR I can not complain. Alfredo I agree is trying too hard when a couple of sideways balls might have borne fruit but deja vu is a wonderful thing but a goalkeeper in sensational form will unfortunately rule the day. We were by far the better team and let's hope no serious injuries can do us out of a result on Thursday as this is now the next important step in our progress.3 points

Gutted by that. I probably feel worse than if we had been whipped 4-0 because it was so close and you felt that today Celtic were there for the taking. These are fine margins but once again we are falling short at a key time while they are digging in and getting results. It's hugely frustrating. Not made any better by the propaganda from Roddy Forsyth on the radio this afternoon that Rangers can have no complaints - not because Celtic scored a goal with three men offside but because we missed a penalty apparently as if the latter somehow justified the refereeing howler that lead to the former. Sorry Roddy, I used to respect you. You used to give an honest opinion, not just suck up to your paymasters. But clearly not for ages. The BBC own your arse and your opinions and your delight at their goal and Alfie's miss were palpable. Let me apply some logic Roddy because you are clearly incapable of it. The two incidents are not related. Penalties can get saved and Forster today was just on fire and Alfie's penalty was poor, so I can live with that. What Rangers and every Rangers fan ARE entitled to complain about is piss poor refereeing and assistant refereeing. One Celtic player offside is unfortunate, two is careless but three of the fuckers a yard offside is certainly grounds for complaint. Complaint that we shouldn't have been behind to a goal that ought to have been chalked off. That's fair Roddy. That's reasonable. Go and find your brain because clearly somewhere over the last couple of years it's gone missing. We deserved a cup today and Celtic didn't. That's the thing that's hardest to take.3 points

Thought we played great, totally ripped them apart, only their keeper kept them in it. I don't blame Tav for not taking the penalty he can't win whatever he does with some fans, Morelos was trying too hard but also created so many chances out of nothing, we expect more as we know what he can do. They won by an offside goal and they were poor along with us not taking our chances including the pen is absolutely gutting this is worst I've felt in a long time but still feel very proud of our performance and the league is there for the taking IMO. We need another top class striker in January IMO.3 points

We have really come so far under Gerrard. Sutton is talking nonsense that there'll be questions about him if we don't win. We are still working to a constrained budget in comparison with Celtic, Gerrard is doing a brilliant job. However, I am absolutely petrified of the second half now. I'm not sure Celtic can play that poorly again and can we keep up that intensity? We were brilliant, but Jesus I hope it's not one of those days where we pay for not putting the ball away.3 points

Watched Everton v Chelsea yesterday. The change in Everton, with the same players who have under-performed all season, was amazing. We need to chase down, harry and hunt, show you want it for the manager. We need to play like they did.3 points

Right enough, you've changed my mind. Fuck it, win or lose, Gerrard must go.3 points

Feel as if I was mugged never mind the team.Starters gave their all but felt subs including Defoe offered nothing and I hope Barker is only on loan and therefore like OJO should be sent back at Christmas. Obviously what Gerrard calls his starting 18 are bereft of decent subs. Will be there on Thursday hoping we can right the wrong of today.2 points

I have never viewed Morelos as a penalty taker. Snap shots in crowded boxes where there is a lot happening is his thing not striking dead balls at a waiting keeper. If Tav isn't going to take them I would prefer Barisic to have a go.2 points

We definitely need to win something and soon. There's no doubt about that, but winning isn't all that matters. Those Smith years were terrible for quality of football. I know I wasn't alone in feeling utterly bored watching a lot of our games. I could only have dreamed of our team playing the quality of football we do these days. Having said that, I'd accept a poor performance if we had won today, but not most weeks.2 points

Just watched the BT Sport post match interview with SG. He said that Morelos was the nominated penalty taker. In that case I take it back what I said about Tav.2 points

When the penalty was saved, a few heads went down. When Tommy Burns' sides played Smith's sides, the scum used to regularly be all over us but we held out and won. Today felt like the opposite of that. Winning is all that really matters in football.2 points

The point is that they were 'minging' and we failed to beat them, even when they were down to 10. We threw the lot at them, and they, somehow, repelled it all, and walked off with the silverware. We fell short. Hence my original point that this victory might have a more +ve impact on their season than on ours.2 points

That's what you call stating the bleeding obvious, but @craig is still correct .... they were minging. We murdered them, and if we do that in our remaining games against them, we will win.2 points

Pathetic. I care but I'm a grown man so will leave crying to women and losers.2 points

Ojo shouldn't be an option. He's a waste of a jersey. Tav should've taken the penalty. Decent performance but Jack and Goldson crying at the end sums up everything that's wrong with Rangers just now. We have a team full of big girl's blouses.2 points

Nah, sorry Craig, can't agree. Results and winning is what breeds confidence. Today we showed we are still unable to win the big games. I'm travelling over for the YB game on Thursday - but now I feel it'll be more of the same. Tavernier showed why many fans don't view him as a captain. I agree that he should have been removed from penalty duty - but to give it to Morelos at a time like this shows utter cowardice. That was his chance to stand up and be counted. He hid.2 points

I hope Gerrard AND the club come out and demand that Scottish football implements VAR. Sure, should have scored from the penalty.... however, denied a second stonewallers and the goal which won it saw THREE players offside. Absolutely honking officiating that needs called out. i actually think this will help our season. They won but we completely outplayed them - on another day that finished 5 or 6-1 - confidence must be taken from absolutely dominating them.2 points

I think we have to take heart, we've been phenomenal really, but we now look out of ideas. We are getting there, but perhaps today isnt our day.2 points

That story looks like a journalist trying to fill space. The weather is quite bad but there's no chance of the match being off.2 points

Contract extensions are mainly a way to protect the club, financially, if other clubs come looking (providing the desired subject is satisfied at said club). I wouldn't bother reading much more into it than that.2 points

Lose tomorrow, and he should be chased. There are a couple of Portuguese managers out of work and seeking a billet, after all. What?............Oh....em... right2 points

Can't imagine us playing that well again and seeing the same result. Need to keep pushing on.1 point

We absolutely battered them today, I can't believe we lost that match, well obviously we couldn't/didn't take our chances which was very disappointing, but the way some of our fans swiftly look to scapegoat/blame and turn on our own players is quite shameful tbh, aye we are all gutted but a bit of perspective is required, we were so unlucky today and all we can do is move on from this, we are still a work in progress and we will continue to improve, even though we were by far the better team today. Lots to be confident about for the rest of the season, starting Thursday.1 point

Hard to take today. We can point to refereeing mistakes today but we really must start scoring more goals against the yahoos. In the 6 OF games since SG became Rangers manager we’ve scored just 4 goals and a striker has yet to score. That needs to change1 point

Good effort from the team today. Should have won it, deserved to win it. We're no longer second best but, as every honest supporter knows, we're not the finished article yet. Progress is the thing. However, the problem that dogged us throughout last season is still there to an extent - the inability to score when we're dominating play. That and the fact we're still not a 90 minute team. In this respect, our creative play today was a bit disappointing, with Ryan Kent struggling throughout the game to make anything happen and Steve Davis a huge loss.1 point

Arfield, you can't be doing that. Why is there no movement now? The last 25 minutes have been so static when we should have been giving it everything1 point

Also, I haven't seen anything to suggest Barker is a player, not even a sub.1 point
