Why just until the end of the season? These idiots will just be back the following season with the same crap. Ban them for life. Considering we are a club with a long, glorious and rich history, it truly staggers me that this is how these "fans" choose to display their affection for Rangers. Bravo to all Bears on here condemning these knuckle draggers. For all the apologists hang your heads in shame.4 points

A draw was bizarrely better for us than a win, given the result in the other game. We would still have needed a draw against YB, even if we'd won, but with us drawing it means Feyenoord have something to play for against Porto, and if they beat Porto then we're through.4 points

Working against the club's interests is not supporting the club. We'd be better off without them if they can't act in a manner the club has asked from them. Stop defending those who are damaging Rangers.4 points

Beyond depressing to the point it could now cost the club millions aside from the reputational damage. It's taken the shine off topping the group. f there were ever a turning point where zero tolerance has to be aggressively applied surely this is it. As an example if the clowns with the banner were to be identified and plenty out there must know who they are an example could be set by banning them from the stadium.3 points

You can now look at Helander and Goldson's cock-ups at their second goal with a certain amount of fondness.3 points

See another problem for me about this is that the media, Rangers haters, and just people in general will go scouring all manner of Rangers forums looking for condemnation or otherwise of these 'knobheads' And what I want them to see when they do is mass condemnation which is why I so vociferously lambast these cretins and any who support them dragging the club into disrepute and potentially costing it vast sums of money.3 points

Another thing about the Scottish gutter press & Scottish football how they all play it low key regarding how good Morelos is! same with the fact that we have SG as manager! their hatred for all things Rangers does give me a warm feeling mind you, knowing how much they fear Morelos, SG & Rangers2 points

'forumee' - that's a great word. I remember after 1972 when we were banned for 2 years, the esteemed correspondent Brian Glanville pointed out that clubs should not be responsible for the behaviour of fans; he said something to the effect that a club has no more control over who chooses to follow it than it has the weather. That stuck with me.2 points

Not sure as to the origins of the word but it's either used as a slang for: - a extremist supporter of Irish Republicanism (or insert your own description), or - a slang name for an RC Either way, I fail to see that it's slagging the Irish in general. The former description wouldn't even need to be aimed at Irish people. If someone a derogatory term to describe an SNP supporter, for example, it's hardly an insult to all Scots.2 points

Yes, I removed that part after I read your post. I feel better now.2 points

Aye--it's a good result, one which I would have ripped your hand off for prior to the game.2 points

By the way, Steven Davis played a couple of world class passes last night. The one that set up for first goal was something else!2 points

Some of us live in the real world, not the football forum world. In the real world Rangers suppporters (ie people who go to Rangers games regularly) don't call each other fuds, morons, retards and tits for making derogatory comments about yahoos. Maybe that's a popular thing in the USA....I wouldn't know. Decent result last night but I was disappointed with the performance. We should have won.2 points

Protesting detrimental crass stupidity isn't being insulting. It's pointing out to the brainless that they're too stupid to be dragging this club down into their pit of stupidity. They're not wanted. Take those protesting this scarcely credible level of dimwittery after all that has come before out of the equation and the stadium would be almost empty which is something else you seem too detached from reality to grasp. I have seen absolutely nothing but condemnation for these 100% arseholes anywhere but here. From you. That's the Rangers support and they don't want these 'fuds'2 points

A referee who lied about his decision to send off Candeias and whose guilt was confirmed by being kept away from Rangers games for months is now going to take charge of a Rangers cup final. Nothing dubious about that. CLUB RESPONSE TO SCOTTISH FA’S DECISION TO DISMISS OUR APPEAL: RANGERS are extremely disappointed with the decision of the Scottish FA’s Judicial Panel to dismiss our appeal against the second yellow card shown to Daniel Candeias in the closing seconds of last Saturday’s match against St Mirren. Rangers afforded the governing body the opportunity to let common sense prevail and we are surprised they have chosen not to do so by correcting what was, and what remains an inexplicable decision by the match referee, Willie Collum. Rangers shall now seek a fundamental review of the rules relating to red cards which result from two bookings of a player in a game. If one of these decisions is obviously wrong, it must be possible to correct that mistake. It is wrong that players’ livelihoods and careers can be impacted without the opportunity of redress, especially when the official responsible for the miscarriage of justice is allowed to continue as though beyond question or reproach. It defies belief that this same referee, who got it so blatantly wrong last Saturday, is awarded one of the biggest matches in Scottish football this weekend while Daniel Candeias is denied the right to go to his work. This, frankly, is unacceptable. Furthermore, it is understood that a number of people within the Scottish FA are in no doubt Mr Collum’s judgment was flawed and Rangers shall also now be submitting a formal complaint about the performance of this referee. The manner in which he reacted to an incident involving our player made it obvious he did not give due consideration to his decision. This is by no means the first time errors of judgment have been made in matches involving this official and clearly there is an underlying issue which requires to be addressed. https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/daniel-candeias/2 points

To be honest I think that bears themselves had a word with the Springburn guys , common sense prevailed .1 point

It is, some guys just say and do what they want and if you were to try and pull them up about it it would most likely turn into a fight1 point

The banners weren't a problem. There are no reports about the Springburn flag making it into the ground thankfully.1 point

It's the songs that would result in ground closure, not the flares.1 point

I live in Ireland, my partner is Irish and my kids are Irish. It's frankly embarrassing and honestly quite offensive that we still have fans saying or singing these things.1 point
-
Anyone singing the word fen1an last night, after all warnings we've had of stadium closures, should be banned for the rest of the season. They have demonstrated to the club that they will not listen without consequences.1 point

I am not deflated quiet happy we came home with a point as our first half display was very shoddy and poor .1 point

I'd rather not publicise it more than it has been already, but basically the whole Rangers end was lit up with flares, and there were a couple of banners. It's the flares that are the issue. We'll likely get fined for them.1 point

I'm still a wee bit deflated. We had one hand on a place in the next round, but shot ourselves in the foot. And, of course, Porto winning doesn't help. All to play for.1 point

I'm a Unionist Bear. All the Ultra pish isn't for me and I condemn anyone singing the add-ons that will likely result in partial or full ground closure against YB. I'm not defending the daft banner. I'm just not upset about it.1 point

I’m generally not in favour of name calling aimed at fellow bears, but sometimes when their behaviour is so monumentally stupid, idiotic etc, it's difficult not to. I've also pulled people up for making accusations against the UBs for incidents where there’s been no proof that they're involved. They've taken credit for last night's display and while it may have looked great, the club will be fined and the UBs should be responsible for the cost.1 point

You have demonstrated perfectly well that you're not qualified to judge what the real the world is. And don't give us this utter nonsense as you defend these complete tits while no one else does. You're the one out of step with the feelings about it not me. I couldn't care less what these beavis and butthead neanderthals grunt to each other in private among themselves. But when they're so incredibly stupid as to take their grunting into the public arena while linking it to support of Rangers then I will call it what it is. Beyond stupid. To everyone but you that is. Again, you're the one out of step, not me. I'm voicing the mass feeling about it even just around here. You're not. Rangers fans a credit to club as they roundly condemn "stupid" banner1 point

Local success ignored. This calendar year, Rangers Youths have been a success story. They have won the Youth League, Youth Cup, reached the semi-finals of the Tunnocks Challenge Cup, and effectively reached the last sixteen of the Youth Champions League. Young Scots doing well in Europe are akin to Hens' Teeth. I tried to find coverage in a handful of Scots based newspapers, both print and on-line, without success. I thought the Glasgow Evening Times would be the best bet, they have a specific section entitled, 'Rangers', again nothing. Recently, the Evening Times received a new Editor, Callum Baird. He held the same designation at the National. Maybe he was after greater job security, the Weirs are moving towards securing Partick Thistle's future; or after five years he has acknowledged the National peak sales remain under 7,000. I believe the Evening Times sells double that amount? The rule of thumb on local newspapers is to emphasise local success stories. Today's copy is pretty much a Stacey Mullen production. She is described as, 'Senior Multimedia Reporter'. The on line front page has five stories : 'Notre Dame High School to admit boys', 'Celtic players star in Lewis Capaldi video', 'Celtic star Scott Brown and Lisbon Lions attend Rod Stewart's opening night at the Hydro', 'Line of Duty star, Martin Compston supports SNP candidate ahead of election', and the Rangers story to prove objectivity, 'Rangers set to launch special edition BLACK SHIRTS'. Stacey covers the first four, whereas Paige Beresford does the snigger-fest Nazi/Rangers double entendre. Now, Stacey has quite a past, she used to prefer to be known as, 'Showbiz Stacey', her social media feeds back 15 years past, were full of H-u-n comments and a proclamation of never dying love for Sellik. These days, Stacey is a practitioner of careful hate, pushes her love for the green'n'grey far more than her never dying hate for Rangers. She leaves the naked hatred for her juniors. Her best buddy and she sits beside her at Sellik Park is, Jane Hamilton. Remember, she had us on the front page of the Sunday Mail after the 2016 Scottish Cup final. According to Jane Rangers supporters adopted Northern Ireland Loyalist tactics of throwing children in front of responding police vehicles. Note to Callum Baird, Slovan Bratislava Youths 1 Rangers Youths 2, aggregate 1-4, you can report of the wrong Scots too?1 point
