Use the word fen!an and UEFA will censure the club. We've been warned previously for it, now had a section of a stand closed, next the whole stadium will be closed and a huge fine dished out before we'll then be thrown out their competition. It's not difficult to understand and playing funny buggers doesn't wash.10 points

Pete, you're making yourself look rather daft with this anti-Goldson crusade of yours. A 'lot' of people don't agree with you as far as I can see. In fact Goldson has been amongst MotM awards on here in a few games now. Nevertheless, no-one thinks he's is a 'god' and criticism is rightly aimed at him where required like last night. The same goes for any player, including Katic. It's bizarre when people, like you, can't be objective to see the good and the bad though. Both players are doing pretty well and work together as a partnership. I enjoyed both pointing out the other's mistakes last night during the game which demonstrates the positive relationship they have. In my view, both are important and it's a fool's errand to try and separate their contribution. I've no idea why anyone would want to do so other than some petty desperation to be proven right for some reason.6 points

It's sad to see some of those among us determined to grant the outcome Power and his ilk what they desire, sad but all too predictable.4 points

Much as the old days had much to commend them, this has to be the time to leave them behind and finally move on to a future that doesn't involve dragging that past behind us. We can still be a predominantly unionist and loyalist support if that's what floats your boat but how we express our common identity simply has to change. There can't be any more fucking of popes or chasing of feenyins. That's done. It's over. We damn nearly lost our club altogether a few years ago; this is a challenge that no one should be phased by.4 points

The fact is it emanated from BF1as it does virtually every week to suggest otherwise is nonsensical.4 points

I imagine that's where the naughty song emanated from, it usually is.4 points

You can sing about yourself and support yourself all you want. You can't sing about others. It's pretty simple. Celtic fans play the game and skirt the rules and laws. We just shout fuck the pope like a bunch of morons and ****** this and fuck Bobby sands that. Then we act all hard done too when they get away with it and we don't. They are more sleekit, time we wised up instead of acting like we are victims to some conspiracy when our actions are moronic4 points

So the front of the Broomie will be shut next week. It say the shut area has to be where the offending singing takes place, so the Union Bears will be the area to miss out. Anywhere else just doesnt make sense. What we must do is get recordings of the bheasts games, get reporting all offensive singing at the match, and get it reported to UEFA. Club 1872 MUST be at the forefront of this, if they do nothing in this regard they would be as well disbanding right now. There is absolutely no doubt this is bheast led, the corridors of Power that Lawwell walks both domestically and in UEFA will have seen to this negative publicity, and just watch BBC Scotland got to town on this. I expect it to be first lead item on the national news at 6, 10, and all throughout tomorrow. The only way they will back off is when they see that we can get them done equally. Sadly we refuse to learn our own lessons, but if it wasnt TBB, they would create an interpretation of something else. It is also absolutely without doubt been stage-managed to coincide with our toughest and most important home game of the season (under UEFA). The impact of bringing this out last week when we were already well ahead in the tie against the Danes would not have been felt as severely. Only tims would be aware of this. I am absolutely disgusted, both with the wee arseholes who continue to get Buckfasted up and think they can sing what they like, thinking they are Ultras and the like, but also with us as a club sleep-walking into this again, just like in 2010. We should be fighting this with everything we have by showing that in Scotland there is a culture of 90 minute bigots which is not sectarian in the truest form, but rivalry and taunting. Show exactly what we have to listen to from the stands of our rivals, not to mention the effergies, KAH banners etc, and not under any circumstances accept anything FARE has to say while Power is part of it as it cannot show a balanced or unbiased attitude towards us as he himself is a sectarian bigot.4 points

If people have issues with what Celtic fans do then start complaining to UEFA. However what they do or do not get up to isn't relevant to our singing. We were warned that TBB was strictly forbidden but yet....4 points

Are you seriously suggesting players can't be man of the match if they make a mistake during a game? Does that mean Defoe or Morelos can't be man of the match if they score a hat-trick but miss a sitter? Or Jack should be ashamed of himself for misplacing one pass in fifty? Perhaps Katic is a bombscare because he needlessly dived into a tackle and McGregor had to save his arse last night? Or maybe all these players have been very good lately but are imperfect? People voted Goldson for Man of the Match in a couple of games recently because he's been very solid at the back, has passed the ball very well and even scored a vital winner in the Killie game. Has he made a few mistakes in games as well? Absolutely yes and every single person on here has also acknowledged that. He made two last night - one in the first half when he failed to intercept a cross when he looked favourite to do so and then again in the second half when he tried to be clever on the touch-line instead of clearing his lines. However, that doesn't mean he didn't have a decent game generally. It's really not difficult to approach player analysis objectively. You should try it instead of making embarrassing claims that you just can't back up.4 points

Some fans just don't get it and want their "freedom of expression" and couldn't give two shits whether it harms the club or not. We are the world's worst set of fans in terms of self harm. Will we EVER learn ??4 points

Can there be anyone who didn't expect shit to fly from all directions if we looked like serious contenders. This won't be the last or the worst of it so it might be smart to cut out the very things we know will be used against us. That said, there's a fair chance that what we don't do will be invented anyway4 points

Celtic has been punished by UEFA 15 times in the last 12 years and received a fine on each occasion. The includes pitch invasions and assaulting players on the pitch. But here's the thing ... anyone who either expects equal treatment or is surprised by the lack of it is operating in dreamland. All the protests and heel dragging in the world isn't going to change the world we have to live in. That's going to take something far smarter and innovative than I've heard today.3 points

Its willful ignorance by those who want to continue singing. They needn't bother telling me they love the club if they continue given they now know what their continued use of banned words and songs will result in.3 points

FARE isn't impartial, everyone already knows that but it is what it is. Accepting all the unfairness and all the cards that are stacked against us by some of the most devious bastards ever to draw breath, what would you propose we do? As I see it we have two choices. We can whine and complain, dig our heels in and pretend we have a moral right to do so, in which case the hammer will continue to fall on Rangers. Or we can find new words to new songs, new swords to wield and new causes to pursue, in which case we might just avoid some of the worst of their arrows. If the support was lined up before you and you had to tell them what to do, what would you say? And after you'd told them how unfair it all was, what then?3 points

Comparing ourselves with what they do is half the problem. Instead of pointing at them and saying "what about them" the smart thing to do would be to clean up our own act and, once done, THEN point at them and show them for what they are. We aren't politically smart as a fanbase.3 points
-
I've argued strongly against the singing of TBB on here before but it's hard to get away from the fact that this punishment seems excessive, not least given our neighbours have never had this type of punishment. I hate to engage in "whataboutery" but surely Celtic will receive a similar punishment for throwing missiles at opposition players in the Cluj game? Surely player safety trumps hurt feelings of people not at the game?3 points

Check out this clarification on fen!an from UEFA with regard to banners from Ajax in the recent past: Now we can argue the rights and wrongs of the games being played here but the line has been drawn so if fans cross it then UEFA will take action.3 points

Where's that list of songs then? And did FARE/UEFA see the yahoos' "****** Army" banner?3 points

Rightly or wrongly, TBB has been creeping back for long enough. We all know who is involved with FARE and who works with UEFA on this crap but still many people think it's a good idea to sign this song.3 points

Rubbish - you've been blabbering on about Goldson being a bombscare for as long as I can remember and right through the summer at least. And there's no-one with an agenda against Katic to the same extent you have about our vice-captain... As for the Katic and Worrall argument, Niko was taken out of the team this time last year as he's still a young lad and had a couple of niggling injuries as well as family issues. It was decent management from Gerrard to take care with the lad and I'd argue we're benefiting from it now. Worrall also, by and large, did fairly well for most of his appearances and had a few very decent games. Yes, the Killie mistake in a key match last January is what he'll be remembered most for and that was unforgivable but it's unfair to suggest he was responsible for us not winning anything or that bringing Katic back earlier would have changed that.3 points
-
Ryan Jack gets my vote for last night. Allan McGregor and Jon Flanagan (a very under-rated performance from him) were possibly his closest challengers but Jack's composure and confidence on the ball - as well as his efforts to win it back - gave us a platform to achieve a decent result.3 points
-
I think Katic is a better player than Goldson. However you are highlighting any mistake Goldson makes just to prove a point, your point that you think Katic is better than Goldson!. I like both of them and they play well together, it's a team game and each player has a duty to help out his team mates.3 points
-
Hard to miss the irony here, this is exactly what you are like every game but the other way around. You're always pouncing on Goldson after a game. I've only pointed out some of Katic's big mistakes recently due to the imbalance in the way you comment on the players. They are both good players but both are making some costly mistakes at the moment despite otherwise good performances.3 points

I have an unlimited subscription that is supposed to allow me universal access to watch live games. I pay good money for it, in advance. What I expect, not unreasonably, is to be able to access that service when I want. Also, as I've said in an email to RTV, if there is a delay to my flight the airline sends me a text to tell me so - why can't Rangers do the same, instead of hoping I happen to be looking at Twitter at the time. In any case, the problem wasn't just logging in to RTV. I couldn't access the Rangers.co.uk website until three quarters of the way through the match. This isn't a customer problem. It's a problem for RTV to sort out once and for all. Either crawl cap in hand to the BBC or make the investment necessary to deliver the service they offer and accept money for.3 points

Didn’t think to include this whilst writing it but he averaged 0.89 interceptions per game and regained the ball from team pressing 3.31 times per game last season, which is what we’ve all seen him do for Rangers regularly.3 points

We can only hope that there are those in our support who will take heed of today’s UEFA action. We are undoubtedly being targeted whilst other clubs with similar or worse problems seem to escape with continuous fines or nothing at all. But UEFA needs to get its priorities sorted out. These were songs. Every week we hear of football hooliganism on continental Europe. Is it going to take another major event such as Heysel to change their focus?2 points

Goldson is a good, solid defender at the level(s) we're playing at. The main drawback to his game is his (lack of) pace. The defence really isn't an area we should be debating at such length because our back line is quite dependable, considering the sums we paid for them. Our inability to break teams down should be the real area of focus.2 points
-
This is ridiculous. How can there be votes for both Goldson and Katic? Surely one of them must have been shit ?2 points

We barely make it onto the BBC Football page these days, when we win a game it's below women's football stories. Right now we are right at the top of both BBC Sport and BBC Football.2 points

If Piara Powar and FARE had their way, Rangers wouldn't exist. And Celtc fans are offended by everything we do.2 points

There's something wrong with the platform if people can't access it when they like. And at several hundred pounds a year for some subscribers, it's not unreasonable to expect it to work. Obviously the tech we have available still can't cope with demand but one would think the extra monies received from this season in particular would allow us to purchase better servers.2 points
-
We have a very strong bank of midfielders, I would always have Kamara in my team, however I would also play Jack every time he is available, we all know every player can't play every game but it has to be good for us going forward we have such strong competition for midfield.2 points
-
Agreed. Against much expectation Ryan Jack has turned out to be the jewel in our crown so far. Looking back, he was head and shoulders the best player at Aberdeen and I don't doubt he could hold his place pretty much anywhere he chooses to go in future. Thankfully someone saw what he had to offer and brought him to Rangers. The fact the Kittybrewster Kid is a Rangers fan doesn't do any harm either.2 points

This tie is far from over. Atrimtos also got a 0-0 draw in Warsaw last round but got beat 2-0 by legia at home in the second leg. I thought legia were better than we were led to believe. We’ll need to improve if we’re to get to the group stages again2 points

Yeah, I was thinking same last night. I think the nature of the game was why the manager didn't make subs around the 60-70 mark. basically the match had become fairly open and was being played at quite a pace. With that in mind, it might have taken a sub 5-10mins to get up with that intensity so it was somewhat of a risk to bring someone on when it was perhaps easier for us to sit a bit deeper and avoid box-to-box play which was clearly taking its toll on a few players. On the other hand, perhaps someone like Jones might have enabled us to get forward more and be more of a threat ourselves. That was the twist and the manager decided to stick for now which is probably fair enough.2 points

I think not seeing the match was more annoying than losing a tenner!2 points
-
Exactly. I really don't understand this bizarre need to try and make out one is someone the saviour of the other. Other than one or two mistakes each, they both played well again and ensured a clean sheet.2 points
