Defoe is total class. He brings so much to the rest of the team and really chuffed for him to get his reward today. This is a marker for the rest of the league. We aren't messing around. 6 points from two games that we all thought might be tough openers. Can't argue with that. Keep it up Rangers.6 points

I'm going to tell the Hibs fans I work with that I'm a bit alarmed at our lack of cutting edge.5 points

Perfect hat-trick is left foot, right foot, header.4 points

Oh they just couldn't resist it . A thunderous win for Rangers and Steven Gerrard, albeit four of their goals came when Hibernian were down to 10 men.4 points

We needed this for more reasons than one. We needed the points to maintain full points before they come to Ibrox. On a psychological level we needed an impressive display to match theirs. And just as importantly at least to me we needed to give this lot a humiliating hammering that's been long overdue.4 points

I live in Edinburgh. I'm really looking forward to work tomorrow. The Leith tramps hate us. I would hate them, too, if they were worth it.3 points

I thought my joy at the victory was enough, but actually their misery makes it even sweeter.3 points

Anyone who doesn’t think Steven Davis is crucial to us this season needs their head read. His take, touch and cross for that goal was absolutely stunning3 points

And yet for long periods it looked like they were and may as well have been, pinned back into pretty much the same position a park the bus side would be. I lost count of how many times the goalie saved them with not just good but great saves. The goalie was their man of the match.2 points

Hibs didn’t park the bus though2 points

If I've done my Maths correctly, Defoe has 5 goals in 4 games, and Morelos has 7 goals in 6 games. Nice.2 points

Another excellent display. That's normal service resumed against our two bogey teams from last year.2 points

i don't think that we should take our foot off the gas, our eye off the ball, or remove the collective foot from the opposition's throat, whatever the score, whatever the team, more particularly with the fhilth and fhilth light from Leith.2 points

Took a while to get that 3rd and hibs could and perhaps should have equalised in first few mins of the second half but that was epic. If we had scores 15 goals there could have been no complaints. Keeper and ref were easily their best players. Ours were too numerous to name. Absolutely brilliant2 points

Damn !.. spoiled my 5 goal prediction ?.2 points

I now take that back too: he's taking the piss out of this shower.2 points

Got 5 angles from RTV, but none conclusive re whether Horgan was onside. Let's hope we put them to the sword soonish now.2 points

I think we'll see goal celebrations, by players and fans, slowly toned down because everyone will wait for VAR before truly believing they've scored. The most joyous experience at a football match is unquestionably scoring and celebrating a goal - diminish that feeling of ecstasy and you lose a Hell of a lot. I really, really hope VAR is never implemented in Scotland.2 points

Surely an offer of counselling would be the right thing.1 point

Managed to catch it live this time - great show. Well done Ross, David, Ian!1 point
-
Prefer the old way. The euphoric moment of scoring a goal is what it's always been about - now you are always looking at the ref in case he signals to VAR.1 point

Some might say it merely reduced them to 11. Beaton unsurprisingly wasn't doing us any favours. I don't consider 2 obvious yellow cards to be doing us a favour.1 point

Snap. I have been waiting for that since the Cup Final against them. Guys round about me today thought I was jumping about like a dafty1 point

Fantastic, last season that would have been a struggle. It shows the improvement in general possession play and forward intent. I only know one Hibs fan now down here and he's gone off radar . Wonder why!!!1 point
-
Given they scored before half time you may have been better placed saying difference between than and 5-11 point

To get six points against two sides we struggled to beat last season is a great start. I'm not getting carried away but the signs are positive.1 point

Up there with the wettest I have ever been MacK! Great performance again but Flanagan gives me the fear. JD was excellent but I felt for the first ten mins of second half we looked a bit shaky? Apart from that we were fantastic. MOTM had to be JD.1 point
-
Great game and we just outclassed them. Jack was MOTM for me he was everywhere. Obviously Defoe, Jones Davis and Aribo all deserve a mention. I hate to say it but I don't think the Jones free kick was a penalty, I think Beaton called it correctly. It was a millimetre decision but for me the part of the boot that committed the foul was outside the box meaning Jones was outside the box. The hand ball was also never a penalty in my eyes. I also think if Tom Miller and Ian Durrant have to watch it 3 times to decide then Beaton can't be blamed for a snap decision.1 point

10-man Hibs beaten in heavy rain at Ibrox ...1 point

We’ve pumped them today. Could have been 7 or 8. but need to be mindful that we also put ourselves under pressure by letting them back in it when cruising at 2-0. A 3rd goal kills the game and we should have made sure we were 3 up before taking the foot off the gas. im being harsh but I doubt we can drop many points this season... so finish games off please Rangers. all that said.... very pleasing how we still continued to dominate at 2-11 point

What a player. Possibly smallest man on the park and gets in a header.1 point

Is that now 3 penalties we should have had?1 point

Couldn’t care less what the media headlines are so long as they are talking about a Rangers win1 point

Exactly why I think VAR would be beneficial to us.1 point

Yes, you are correct. I just seen it.1 point

I'm seeing 4 yellows for them 2 for us on BBC.1 point

About as one sided as it gets but awful defending leaves us under pressure1 point

As already said I am not a fan of VAR and actually believe if we stuck to the original wish for goal line technology that would have sufficed.1 point

Can think of many people missing transport connections due to time added on in some instances. If implemented here it would be a farce, could you see Clancy /Beaton/Hobbit changing decisions in Rangers favour?1 point

To be fair to Billy Dodds yesterday he was talking about the quality of crossing from Cammy Palmer and also James Tavernier on Thursday night1 point
