Sorry but please close the goal of the season , you’ve just saw it .5 points

Can't be anything other than impressed with that first half. Good football, hard work, high press, solid defending and two fine goals. That will do me every time. PS: Candeias, like Jack, seems to attract a fair amount of criticism but both players are more than useful in this team. Sure, they're imperfect but at the financial level we're operating at, not many players will offer more in the roles they're asked to do.4 points

Gerrard will have you for using that phrase! We're going to win 4-0 in every match and that's that.3 points

Treble next season - without losing a goal was what I was really thinking3 points
-
rangers were excellent today and we really do have great strength in depth.3 points
-
After this game today, it is clear that our starting 11 is impossible to pick right now. The strength in the squad is brilliant.3 points

I will never be able to wrap my head around Gerrard's views on candieas He was the best player in Scotland up to being dropped last season.3 points

Don't forget to listen in live at 21.30 tonight. Ross Bennett, Christine Sommerville, and Graham (Big-Jaws) talk about today's impressive performance.2 points

I just watched it on RTV...friendly or no that was a very quality performance. ??2 points

Damn you Rousseau popping my wee happy bubble .2 points

Liar!!!! You're getting carried away! We all are after that!!!! ?2 points
-
Not getting carried away but some of the pressing and movement was excellent today. Hopefully another few routine Euro wins and friendly wins before Killie2 points

I know this is only preseason but we are actually watching a team play to a pre set out plan and delivering , not since Advocatts Rangers team have I witnessed such a well drilled squad , this is looking good and we are going to roast some teams this year .2 points

Katic could easily have had 4 here with a bit of luck2 points

How to solve SG headache ? Sell Candeias to Marseille for 25M plus Payet2 points
-
Wow, that was a great half of football. Is it just me or are we looking bloody impressive?!?! This team is excitingly to watch and the new boys look like brilliant additions already.2 points
-
I love the guy too. You said you couldn't get your head around his removal. I merely provided a reason. I suspect it's more to do with his position: SG wants a inside forward-type, with good ball-control (a la Arfield, Jones, Ojo, Stewart etc), while Candeias is more of an out-and-out winger.2 points

WHAT A GOAL!!! Pin-point forward pass from Jack over the top, excellent first-time control from Candeias and he dinks it past the 'keeper.2 points
-
what a fucking goal , Daniel Candieas , what a pass Ryan jack , that’s up there2 points
-
His work-rate is phenomenal, but he just doesn't create or score enough.2 points
-
1-0, Candeias! Good work in the press, Morelos lays into the path of Candeias, who smashes into the net. Good finish.2 points
-
My words! Aribo's close control is sublime to watch!2 points
-
... a bit like skipping responsibility. If he had acted as he should be, there would be no-one calling his stand into question. Poor excuse of a minister.2 points
-
Brilliant article. Sounds like he will do very well in our league but some of the hype is out of control and people need to remember we are signing a player worth £3.5m not £35m, he will have a mistake in him and won’t win every header etc.2 points

I noticed that too, was a great moment between manager and captain as if to say “well this is all going to plan isn’t it!”1 point

Couldn't agree more. Really looking forward to Thursday. A couple of posters have mentioned the seamless nature of the substitutions, which I agree with. We made 6 or 7 substitutions and the way we played didn't change much, which is really promising. I also noticed Gerrard and Tav smiling when he was subbed and it symbolised the feel good factor we have just now. I think we're all looking forward to this season.1 point

I can't remember the last time we had such an enjoyable start to the season. There were so many positives to take from that performance, so much so hardly anyone has mentioned Aribo who was class.1 point

Tom was great at commentating as usual, but I thought Ian Durrant was excellent. His insight was really interesting and I hope he does more of it for RTV.1 point

What I liked was the ease with which the subs came on without any obvious deviation in the play,it shows how well the training is working.1 point

Some superb finishing and good pressing play. OM clearly fell away after 65 mins or the like, but we pressed them hard and played some lovely stuff still. I don't think that we will have to fear much from the Scottish teams trying to play an open game against us, as we might verywell put them to the sword at leisure. The trench-and-brick brigade may be another matter. But for that, Jones and Docherty and Jack and Kamara all look very good. Every minute Jones plays, the memory of Kent dwindles a wee bit. His play with Barisic on the left was at times reminiscent of our right-side pairing.1 point

Calm down. Accrington beat Marseille 2-1 a couple of days ago.1 point
-
The way we are pressing is really really impressive , plus when OM have the ball they don’t have an out ball , everyone’s covered1 point
-
He’s just carrying on from last season1 point
-
He nearly had to duck coming out there .1 point

After seeing him in Gib, I have a feeling in ma water that Jones will do well with us. I'd prefer us not to go for Kent and dedicate funds towards a central forward option.1 point
-
the freedom he gives tav is invaluable. love the wee man.1 point
-
Just how comfortable is Edmundson with the ball at his feet .1 point
-
I am by nature very optimistic when it comes to us , however I am loving this team already .1 point

I think he will too, he’s not my type of player though. Similar to Kent he’s very much a man to run at defences rather than one with the same ability when it comes to playing key passes or scoring goals. Certainly has a role to play but I prefer Murphy and Stewart in terms of style of play.1 point

"I was speaking to him and I just got a feel for what he was like as a person and that was something that pushed me towards Rangers. "It was a very big factor. You know what he's done in the game. I just felt comfortable with him and I just thought it was a no-brainer. That was just after the play-off final'.1 point

There's no justice in Scotland, any more than there is effective policing, healthcare, education or financial governance. Humza Yousaf is as equipped to be Justice Secretary as my cat ... but only just. It's hard to know whether by design or incompetence but it seems the SNP is hell bent on dismantling anything of worth in Scotland. They've reduced politics to a display of petty bigotry and Humza Yousaf is no worse than many other senior SNP figures in government at Holyrood. The idea he would put loyalty to his football club before the interests of its paedophile victims is no less fanciful than a Transport Secretary who thinks the hokey kokey is an anti-catholic ritual ... or that a university dropout is capable of managing the country's finances. I used to think it would be impossible for any political party to accumulate more low-grade flotsam than pre-devolution Labour but it's clear the SNP has scraped deeper barrels and managed to find even more inept chancers to do its business all over Scottish life. Humza Yousaf will continue to protect Celtic FC, just as the SNP will continue to refuse to release information on its commercial relationship with its current Health Secretary. Rotten to its core.1 point
