As it’s leaked now, something I mentioned on our pod on Sunday was names I couldn’t reveal One is Andre Gray of Watford, interest is real & discussions have taken place about a loan Interest in Axel Tuanzebe (someone else first mentioned on here by me few weeks ago) is also real 100% - interest in him is a permanent deal Our targets this summer are absolutely mouthwatering & forget the squad signings now, they aren’t the bigger picture3 points

It's a joke when a political party who have proven to be anti-Rangers tries to use attending a Rangers game in a negative context? Sorry, but I don't find any humour in it and it's just another attempt by the SNP to paint Rangers as bad. Edit - it may have been funny if they said something like "Look at McAveety. Thought he was a Celtic fan. Haha." However they are talking of using it against him which is at best sinister and indicative of a larger agenda at play. I honestly fail to see anything humorous in this.3 points

In terms of the reference to Walter Smith, I enjoyed those years a lot, especially because we had two of the best players ever to wear the jersey, but let's be honest the football was dire. I was obviously delighted that we got to the UEFA cup final, but again there was nothing to be proud of other than the results (which were astonishing). McInnes has never demonstrated that he is capable of bringing any style of football to us. Even those games when Aberdeen are playing second division teams they can't produce anything any of us would want to watch on a regular basis. To the OP, there is no doubt whatsoever that this was a bullet dodged, but I agree with @JohnMc that he would be good for Scotland. In the majority of those games his team will be up against superior opposition and there's no doubt he is tactically very good at setting his teams up to limit damage. Furthermore, it means from a selfish point of view that he can deploy these tactics in games I'm unlikely to watch.3 points

I don't think he'll be sold anyway. He should be part of first-team plans next season, even if just a squad player.3 points

We had the opportunity to win it at the end of the first minute of stoppage time. Middleton hits the free kick, Keeper saves and is on the ground, and our center-half screws the ball wide in front of a gaping goal. Four minutes later, the Ref' awards the Yahoos a non free kick and they score from a flighted strike on the turn. C'est la vie!2 points

Only after discovering we weren't interested and fearing he might not get a starting spot if we were.2 points

My feeling is he should start on the bench since we do seem to have found a winning way without him and to teach him that he can't continue his behaviour and just walk back in. And he's a potent weapon to launch from the bench if need be.2 points

We drive on the left due to medieval jousting (most folk are right handed, so jousting occurred with each participant on the left, looking forwards). Those who drive on the right are either left-footed (?) or lacking in chivalrous intent.2 points

The sheep will have enjoyed their two Cup wins against us in Glasgow this season in a relatively similar way to which we enjoyed that UEFA Cup run in 2008. The other similarity being it most probably won't ever get that good again.2 points

Apologies Craig, I was trying to be funny. There was no talk of finance or how we could afford it, I just made that bit up. 4Lads explained he understood Armstrong was being offered to clubs, ours included, rather than it being someone we were actively pursuing. And for the avoidance of doubt I don't have the inside track, I'm only on to make the others sound good.2 points

Well that puts his price up to 5 million. Help Hibs with a loan deal. Rearrange the letters to form 2 words. Ckuf fof1 point

Terrible antics by the St Pats players, coached & instructed to waste time right from the kick off in the 2nd half!1 point

We were on the ascendency at the start of the game, but that caused our midfield to keep, pushing further up the pitch. We've now lost our shape and there's a gaping hole between our midfield and defence. Celtic just keep collecting the ball (mainly from some very poor passes) and playing it into this space. It's too easy, but having said that the game is pretty even and we shouldn't be two goals down. There are more goals to come in this game, but we really do the next one or it's over.1 point

It's youth football, consistency is hard to achieve. If it's a toss up between the Youth Cup and the Glasgow Cup, then I want both. We began well, but do not seem to have the physicality in the middle of the pitch to match the Yahoos. We have had two decent opportunities, Barjonas rasped the underside of the bar, and Middleton's long range effort had their Keeper at full stretch for the finger tip save around the post. Realistically, we need the next goal.1 point

We are aiming high standard in my humble opinion, shouldn’t be confused with huge signings as we need to realise where we are as a club & finances But the biggest names available to us we are certainly trying1 point

I've no inside knowledge but the McAveety post is clearly a joke. McAveety is a massive Celtic fan and this isn't any secret, I suspect the post is meant to be funny. As for the first post, is anyone really surprised that councillors find Orange parades at best an inconvenience and at worst an embarrassment? That was posted 4 days after the priest was spat on. The media were all over the story and there was genuine revulsion from people like me. It doesn't surprise me that the head of Glasgow council was on a war footing about it.1 point

Even if he were sold, it would probably be to an English team. Scottish provincial sides don't have that kind of money and the only way I could see it happening would be if it were part of a deal that meant a player coming to us.1 point

I agree Frankie, it was a great segment in the podcast and I loved it. However, quote of the podcast for me was "Losing out on McInnes has gone from embarrassment for the board, to the best bullet dodge since the Matrix" ???1 point
