  1. Pretty sure they both criticised Morelos for being stupid in the way he tangled with Scott McKenna at Pittodrie. The circumstances were almost similar, in that Morelos' momemtum took him into Mckenna. The difference was Alfy tried to avoid stamping his foot down, whereas Brown doesn't. Brown "knows what he is doing" and it should have been a booking, yet none were given. But Morelos is stupid and deserved his red,.. the mental gymnastics and double standards are obvious to anyone who cares to pay attention. And thats before you consider that Morelos took a kick to the face in retaliation.

  2. Yes agree. It blows Emirates away and is as modern a stadium as you will get. Its very USA style but still a football ground. I bet they are laughing at not getting the Olympic stadium now which is a joke of a football ground.

  3. The Hearts player who grabbed hold of Worral and threw him to the ground! imagine if that had been Morelos or any Rangers player? would our player have been sent off or booked?

  4. I had a discussion with an associate who, whilst being a reasonably intelligent guy, follows them ardently and is brainwashed to their cult group think. I seen his head almost explode though when bringing this one up on him: He was banging on about Israel and I questioned him as to why he hated them so much. Him: “Israel is a foreign invader and have no right to be there, it’s not their home land”. Me: “So if a group of people aren’t indigenous, they shouldn’t have the right to set up home somewhere else?” Him: “no, it’s shocking, they way they persecute the Palestinians who are the true people of the land is shocking too”. Me: “you do realise that Celtic and their fans are the Israel of Scotland?” Him: “what absolute rubbish”. Me: “Well the Celtic fans with their hatred for the country they now reside in and alleigance to Ireland makes them the non-indigenous people, say, invaders. They have no wish to assimilate with the local people or their customs, they openly discuss the ultimate goal of wiping out the indigenous population and support violence against them. In what was does that make them different to what your perceived hatred of Israel is based on?”. Him: “The Irish had to come over because of the potatoe famine. They had no choice”. Me: “So the extermination of millions of Jews in the world’s worst case of ethnic cleansing isn’t justification for finding somewhere new to live?” Him: TIMPLOSION Celtic - The Israel of Scotland.

  5. Dunno if everyone has access too this but Michael had a two part interview on RTV and eventhough it was under 8 minutes long, I thought it was very insightful. Spoke about out own mistakes this season which have caused ‘the gap’ between us and Celtic, gives examples of games we should of taken chances etc which in turn dropped us points this season. He points out at the same stage last season we had conceded around double the amount of goals, so it is great to see we have improved there too. Also points at some referee decisions which have cost us points. At the end says they already half know their plan for building next season, again great to see the planning well under way. Very refreshing to see a staff member saying the same things as myself, and other Bears I have spoke to, are saying. I am buzzing for next season already.

  6. I'm not being specific, it is a general observation. Since we have had our troubles and were voted out of top flight football, I believe we are refereed/judged differently from any other teams, I also believe for us to win anything we need to put in a performance where we score lots of goals without any dubious challenges because of the Scottish gutter press, trial by BBC Sportscene for instance. As I posted earlier the Hearts player who grappled then threw Worrall to the deck went unpunished, nothing in it for me, but had any of our players did that you know what would happen. I need to get off this paranoia run I am on!.

  7. The McKenna/Morelos incident is the first thing that came to my mind also. For these mhedia scumbags to have such double standards is not at all surprising. It is easy to point out the utter hypocrisy, far harder to get equal treatment and balance from the authorities. We need a neutral compliance officer (and panelists) who dont read the papers, watch Sportscene, or listen to the radio, to avoid the kind of partial influence that leads us to where we are. Of course we all know this is never going to happen, especially when our club lies down and gets our tummy tickled in the face of such obvious bias instead of going to war.

  8. The verdict is in........not guilty! Thompson and Stewart were unanimous on Sportscene that Scott Brown’s misdemeanour wasn’t a stamp and wasn’t deserving a red. One of the clearest stamps you’ll see all season. Impunity comes to mind. Compare this to their faux outrage at far smaller incidents involving Morelos and it proves double standards and hypocrisy of the highest order.

  9. Thought we were excellent last night for much of the game. Some of the football - primarily in the first 20-25mins of each half - was superb and, although Hearts sat deep and packed their defence, our players moved the ball quickly and also shuttled around themselves to keep Hearts guessing. We also took the best chances that came our way and it's no coincidence that Tav was again our main creator, having a fine game from right back. I also felt Jack was immense before he was taken off whilst Davis and Kamara both used the ball well too. I wasn't sure about Defoe being up front on his own but between them Arfield and Kent did a good job of offering support. All in all, a positive night and a fine result after a dodgy few weeks.

  10. Looked like 4-3-2-1 to me.

  11. I’m gonna have to be contrarian and day that points totals only tell parts of a story. even if (and we won’t) end up with less points than we did under Caixinha there can be absolutely no doubt that Gerrard’s Rangers are a wholly different side to Caixinha’s. in terms of style, formation, knowledge and performance (strange as the last one sounds) this team is absolutely Mike’s ahead of last season’s team. Those who look at simply points are missing the point (pun intended) because very few points last season did we drop and say “didn’t deserve to drop points there” whereas this season there are few games where we’ve dropped point and the reaction is “didn’t deserve to drop points their” Personally, the reality for me is that, sure, we need to be more consistent.... however, how competitive was Murty or Pedro’s team against Celtic ?? Not very. Gerrard’s Rangers have lost one (predominantly due to a foul in the build up), won one (could have been a 3 or 4 goal victory) and then lost one again (where we were, IMO, comfortably the better team and more likely to win the game, despite being down to 10 men). Could Pedro, Murty or Warburton make those same claims ? I highly doubt it !

  12. Michael Stewart is yet to look at Rangers Youth team, but is assuring Sellik supporters that when he does give Rangers colts a Sportscene once over; he will recommend the Compliance Officer offers two match suspensions to at least four or five of the junior H-u-ns. Sportscene fans will understand the pressure of work that Michael is under.

  13. Spot on, our squad is littered with average players who can come in and do a job where required but are not title-winning starters. We need players to come straight into the first team, improve it, be more consistent, and take us to the title. Should be easy enough!

  15. You watched a different game from me then, TB. In the first half at least, the midfield 5 interchanged neatly throughout. I initially seen the formation as more of a 4-1-4-1 with Jack, Davis and Kamara all switching position and using the ball effectively with Arfield and Kent doing the same further forward to give the other players options. Tav and even Flanagan also supported well and gave us width when we needed it. This interchanging allowed us to move the ball quickly and the Hearts players didn't know whom to track and where to go. It wasn't until they went from a back 3 to a 4 after 30mins or so that they finally got to grips with our play and we weren't quite as good when we changed back to more of a 4-5-1 to accommodate them. Moreover, it was when Jack went off, this inter-changing play was less effective and the reason McCrorie may have showed up fairly well was because we had to win the ball back more from slack play; often because Grezda and Arfield were having to receive the ball from deep, straight from the defenders as our midfield wasn't so prominent. FWIW, I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of any specific player and certainly not Jack but I'm prepared to offer praise where it's due for everyone.

  18. Good performance tonight, good 3 points. We are going to miss Kent when he gets suspended, but it is chance for someone else to get in for the rest of the season. Davis had a good game so that was good.

  19. I think we have to otherwise we keep going along without winning the league or even putting serious pressure on till the business end of the season.

  20. I think next season is our real opportunity to win the league. Realistically they've got more money and a better squad to start with, however they either go into next season with Lennon in charge or with a brand new manager, either way that will create some upset in their dressing room. Their players were signed by a different manager, one who largely got the best out of them. Their next manager might not. Either way there's a period of flux, settling in, and getting used to new rules, tactics and so on. When Gerrard joined Rangers really the only way was up, we were playing so poorly last season that as long as he showed progress he was going to get the backing of the support. It won't be like that across the city next season. They're a treble winning squad and they'll win at least the double this season, so any stumble or drop in that standard will bring criticism from the support, a drop in attendances and unrest. That's our chance. We've a season under our belts, an okay squad that needs strengthened, if we can get that right we can win the league next season. Their support will turn on their manager and their board if they stumble at all, for all their jubilation at the weekend I know a few who are far from happy with Lennon already. I'm not normally a 'short-termist', but this summer I am. If we can win the league we stop their Champion's League money and then they do have a problem, a serious problem. The playing field is level then.

  21. It might be a controversial opinion but I think we need to be signing players who can improve our first team and command a starting place from day one. I understand the mid to long term logic of signing a Greg Docherty or a Hastie, but we need to be winning the league next season, is Hastie ready to help us do that? I haven't seen enough of him to know, but this window I'd be happier if we were signing experienced professionals rather than promising young players.

  22. For some reason, this incident didn't make it into the SPFL highlights. Kent's shove against Brown though. As well as his visage. BTW, the build up to the Scum's first goal and Jack's and Worrall`s late chances are very reminiscend of our luck this season.

  23. The idea that we could have signed Ryan Kent for 2M or so was always fantasy. Three things 1. We'll only get those type of players from the English market on loan 2. We have to explore other markets where you get more for your money 3. We have to start pushing are own promising youngsters where possible and giving them the chance to improve quickly
