  1. wot about Kenny Miller? still banging them in at the highest level (in scotland) used to play for Rangers so knows the club inside out and knows what it's all about

  2. Andy Halliday is our in form left back anyway. If there was one player who you wanted to give 100% it’s him. I’m much more comfortable with Halliday at left back, especially at St Pats, than Barisic.

  4. I agree Stensaas wasn't as good a player although I quite liked Vidmar. Maybe we'll do a podcast on that season and why we fell just short. For me the issues around Gascoigne, Laurdrup signing a pre-contract with Chelsea, key players like McCoist and McCall knowing they were leaving as well as John Brown retiring that summer were much bigger factors. The biggest issue was Smith basically being sacked half way through, no way that didn't affect him and the team. I also think losing Amo to injury for most of the season was key, for all his faults he'd have made a difference to our defence that season, Gough returned and did a job but he wasn't the same player. Of course if Negri had just kept scoring goals they could have played me at left back and won the league!

  7. Collins is a complete idiot if he said that. I seem to recall not so long ago we were getting told Scottish football didn’t need Rangers. What’s changed then?

  8. There's no link to Celtic. Pacific Shelf companies are just off-the-shelf companies that anyone can purchase.

  10. Replacing Robertson with Stensaas was a definite downgrade, and I seem to recall that we had Albertz playing at LB for the second half of the 97/98 season as Stensaas just wasn't producing.

  11. Madden is probably the best Scottish referee out there at the moment. That isn't to say he is brilliant, only that he's better than a poor lot. However, the game is about us turning up with the right game plan and attitude, not the ref.

  12. When it happens (of late there have been many instances) criticse and add it to the body of evidence. When it doesn't, ignore it or you provide material for detractors.

  13. This is true, same reason we sold Mark Walters. A lot of fans thought we were downsizing by signing Goram. Bear in mind Chris Woods was England’s 1st choice Keeper in 1991, succeeding Peter Shilton before a young David Seaman usurped him after Woods went to Sheffield Wednesday..

  16. Circumstantial being the operative word I'm afraid. Are there xenophobic journalists like Keith Jackson who make the most of unfair stereotypes? Absolutely and that's very sad. Are there clear racist undertones to the way opposition players, referees and the CO deal with the player? I don't think so and the club wouldn't look good in claiming such without irrefutable evidence. Generally the media play on Morelos because of the colour of his shirt, not his skin and I'd say the same goes for any biases elsewhere in the game. To be clear, the treatment this young lad has to suffer in Scotland is embarrassing and the club could definitely say more about it.
