  1. I thought so, but it was only one of many decisions that I disagreed with in this match and the past few. It's got that I don't expect anything from the refs these days. It's been bad but has got worse since we beat Celtic.

  2. I agree. The way this season is going I can see us beating them twice and then losing at home to Hearts and Hibs or something

  3. I never watch Celtic’s league games, but they have been scoring last minute winners since I was a kid (87-88 season). The worry for me is that Rangers don’t seem to do so as often. There is a big flaw in our team with regards to character & leadership, as we take ages to respond to conceding a goal at any stage of a match.

  4. I'd jump at the chance, but we'd need to start much further down than the second level of English football. I remember it was looked at back in 2012 and it was felt that we may have to start at the 12th level (or similar, I now can't remember exactly ). The chance to do it would have been in the 90s when Sky could have put on pressure, but we've missed that boat, particularly with lots of different broadcasters bidding so none have that much power. We're staying put.

  5. Martyn returns to quiz David on his time with the RST and his relationship with then-Rangers owner David Murray. In this episode, they look back to the battles over songs Rangers found themselves embroiled in during the 00s. How did Murray react to the changing climate - and how did David? __________ Fantastic listen, as always, for latest in their David Murray series. So tragic and sad that agendas against us were so blatant and so effective and yet as a support we're still in denial about these things.

  6. WE went live with a new podcast last night. Colin Armstrong, Stevie from the FLAD website and myself talked over the latest games and discuss where we are at this moment. It was live so ignore the Brain fart that I had. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rv2PDIH9zg

  7. Great show, well worth a listen, just the right amount of despair, frustration and realism with a little sprinkle of hope.

  8. If it's the one I'm thinking of, I think it hit Broadfoot's back, not his arm which was raised.

  9. I was happy that Katic started but hadn't realised his lack of pace, which isn't great when we're playing against a counter-attacking team.

  10. I could see them dropping 5 points easily, problem is we will as well, unfortunately for us it looks like the wheels have come off the bus, everyone looks low on confidence and out of ideas

  11. Yes I don't think this is a free podcast. People can listen to the new free Gersnet podcast 036 instead of course.

  12. It's very easy to say this, that and the other should be done but it generally comes down to a few influencers across the community backing such stuff. If you don't get them on board then, rightly or wrongly, the generic goodwill isn't often found to maximise numbers. FWIW, I don't get on well with every Rangers fan I know but I'd certainly put the greater good well before any such personal relationships. Having a united front is important and I think opposition against BBC Scotland is one area where Rangers fans can largely agree we need to become more militant where possible.

  13. One of the reasons the spiv era went on as long as it did was down to the lack of political unity or gumption within the Rangers support. Included in that was a well attended Rangers Fan demo at BBC Scotland somewhere around October 2011. A demo that's message was hijacked by a very mistaken decision to publicly defend Craig Whyte after the PQ documentary that revealed the 7 year directorship ban. Fair play to those who turned up on Saturday and they were certainly unlucky with the weather. I'm not in a position to criticise anyone for not going, sat here a long way from the rain of Glasfgow. More broadly, I think the recovery and modernisation of the club at various levels was always going to take longer than many hoped or envisaged. There are many forces lined up against us, both on and off the field. The positive is that I think we are moving forward, all be it, slowly . As far as fan representation is concerned, after the predictable teething problems, Club 1872 looks like it is starting to find it's feet and I always thought that in time other things would grow from that, eg. public but indirect link with club that was able to lobby with a reasonable success rate (similar to CQN). The Judea Peoples Front nature of our fans groups over the past decade has left a mark and there are many who simply see a set of initials and don't want involved. It's one of the scars that won't heal quickly. I think Patience and Realism are still very much required both on and off field. We'll get there if we are prepared to show a reasonable degree of P&R and the only thing that threatens that is if we try to continually force things in too much of a hurry.

  14. maybe so, but what demos have they organised up to now, some decent statements via supporters voice recently I'll grant them that, but haven't seen any direct action requests from them. the bbc demo was a direct response to jim traynors interview and his suggestion that fans take action against the bbc. how many pages does the Pacific quay musings thread have on this site? think that demonstrates the interest in this issue, and tbh my opion is that it really shouldn't matter who organises an event, if you agree with the cause and the demo is lawful and designed to address an issue without bringing any disrepute to rangers or the attendees then it should be supported.

  15. demo was brought to an end early simply because of the weather, sorry the late arrivals missed it , know of quite a few who turned up a bit too late, the organisers were aware this may have been the case but decided to call it a day for the sake of those who turned up at 12:45 and were soaked through by 1 o'clock. big thanks to those who made the effort whether on time or not, know not everyone could make it for the KO time, so appologies to those who made it as soon as they could but missed the demo.

  16. No idea. I was there at just after 1pm and didn't see anyone other than polis and a few bears leaving.... Weather was awful and it should have been cancelled.

  17. Report on this morning's U16's (2004's) game at Barrowfield https://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2019/03/17/under-16s-2004s-win-at-barrowfield/

  18. Yes--that's my post. It's funny how players go from being world-class when they're out, to being sh*te when they play. I think Katic has a good future.

  19. That is shocking. The people at the BBC will be pissing themselves. Unfortunately I don't think the Vanguard Bears should be organising it but club 1872,I think many more would then come.. Unfortunately the Vanguard Bears don't go down well with a lot of fans. For something like this though you would hope everyone could unite, but seemingly not. I also think a march from Ibrox after the game may get more people joining in. I know virtually nothing about the VB so I personally have nothing against them. I have totally no idea what they are about tbh.
