Who said they were preferable? Two wrongs don't make a right. Other fans unwanted chants should never be a excuse for our own problematic song book.2 points

This had to be done to break the contract. All about minimising the payments to SDI so we can get back to making some retail monies.2 points

So songs make us easy meat so to improve our team we need better singing, might help but as I have said in previous posts the words I mentioned mean nothing or very little to most of our squad.1 point

Aye, songs about the Ibrox disaster, "go home ya Huns", Ian Durrant's injury and countless Irish Republican anthems are all preferable to the occasional Loyalist add-on, right you are. ? No wonder we're such easy meat these days.1 point

Oh well if we are outsung by 800 diddies so be it then it might end the listening to "Bobby Sands" anything containing "******/FTP" and other words mentioned in previous posts.1 point

The atmosphere was terrific on Tuesday night. If you like Aberdeen songs, that is. Expect to be regularly outsung by 800 diddies for the rest of the season if the UBs continue their protest.1 point

Could this be the end of the UB as a part of the match day experience? The club have no reason to discuss this matter any further with them. It seems the club have decided we don’t need the expense of safe standing or wish to move ST holders to accommodate the UB. Or it could be the club are using these factors to silence them regarding certain songs/words ? The longer the UB stay in the huff, the less they will be missed.1 point

Fair enough. I haven't heard the full section where he is talking about his time with us but generally i thought he comes across reasonably well but quite understated - but that has been the same for when he talked about playing at Stenny, Raith and Hearts too - I didn't pick up any particular enthusiasm but it seems he didn't hesitate to move to us when Hearts forced him out.1 point

The only problem I have is with fans demanding SG take responsibility after he has already taken responsibility...….1 point

At least his players get an extra game... unlike our "far superior team" that you keep ranting about....1 point

Whenever VAR happens (during matches I'm watching on TV), I'm delighted we haven't got it here. It's for armchair fans and it won't help Rangers one bit.1 point

Do you think that our players are just not seeing these spaces/runs, or is there a specific instruction to do something else? This is what I struggle to understand. They all watch the videos after the games and they must be able to see it, so why don't they do what we are suggesting? It seems so obvious. I would dearly love to know what they've been told to do if it's not that. At least then we could watch out for the preferred tactic and determine if the players are not doing as they've been told, or if they're just not good enough, or both. At the moment I am blaming the tactics because in my simplistic view of the game, we are just one small step away from being effective, but for some reason we are not doing it. I urge other forum members to look out for this at our next match, if you haven't seen it already. The only problem is that you'll be pulling your hair out like me after the first 3 or 4 crosses. It's just a pity that pitch invaders are not flavour of the month, otherwise I'd suggest one of us runs on the pitch and into that space with a banner which reads "WISH YOU WERE HERE".1 point

Our problem is that we haven't the finance to bring in those one or two that are sure to make a big difference. To bring in players who were very good but are way past their best isn't the way to go either. We have to build a squad, coach players and make them better. However, this is where we don't have much of a track record. It seems to be very difficult for players to handle the pressure and demands of playing for Rangers. It also seems to me that the demands are too great for a succession of managers because a lot of the time, the timescales aren't realistic. There is no magic button, it'll take time and how ever much anyone shouts that there is no time, it won't change that.1 point

I thought they were singing about Durrant, not that it matters much. I wish there were more offensive songs in British football stadiums.1 point

If Messi had an ego as big as Ronaldo's, he would have a ton more goals. Messi's assists are a huge factor in this debate IMO. Ronaldo is a truly world class player but Messi is from another planet1 point

Dear BBC Scotland, As a BBC License fee payer and Rangers season ticket holder, I approved of your actions in the immediate wake of Kilmarnock's manager, Steve Clarke being the subject of sectarian chanting at Ibrox during the Scottish Cup replay. The incident was highlighted on your Sports programmes on both radio and TV. Much needed discussion developed and the incident moved on to the News. The next afternoon's and evening's news was particularly helpful, you showed the section of the Ibrox crowd singing and provided the lyrics at the bottom of the screen highlighted by a bouncing ball. The BBC Scotland conclusion of strict liability to solve this matter has stimulated further debate. Last evening, I sat at Ibrox for the Scottish Cup quarter-final replay against Aberdeen. During the 63rd and 89th minute of the game, the entire Aberdeen section of supporters chorused the very same song aimed at the aforementioned Steve Clarke. This time the subject of the ditty was Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard. The lyric had been changed to inform Mr Gerrard that, "he was a sad orange bastard". Further, there were also choruses of, 'No H-u-ns at Hampden' and, 'Go home you H-u-ns'. I know BBC Scotland is Editorially Fair because you told me so in correspondence. Thus, I was surprised when these incidents were NOT mentioned last evening. Hopefully, this afternoon's and evening's news will once again deploy the bouncing ball? This is most important because during the Steve Clarke sectarian speech discussion, long term contributor to your sports shows, Wullie Miller penned a piece emphasising with the Killie boss. He was grateful that Aberdeen removed him from the East end of Glasgow, like Clarke's move from Paisley to Chelsea. Further, Mr Miller gratitude was based on, "there is no bile in Aberdeen". I know you treat people(s) without favour or discrimination and can rely on both accurate and objective reporting of this matter. Yours Aye, 26th of foot.1 point
