Interesting to note that they did it today and not on Monday following the Celtic game. As least we know we'll get a fair shout from SNP minister Humza " I drink in republican slophouses" Yousaf, SNP Minister Joseph Martin Fitzpatrick and Assistant Chief Constable Bernard "suspended for more than 3 months" Higgins.8 points

Constant open illegal displays of terrorist support (who have killed the innocents of our country)... nothing.Constant chants of “orange bastard”.... nothing.Massive pitch invasion and attacks on Rangers players and fans by thousands of Hibs fans... nothing.Years of systematic paedophilia covered up by a club with ongoing trials uncovering the horrors, even to this day... nothing.Hanging of effigies of Orangemen in front of 50k people in a televised event around the world, the most despicable sectarian display in decades... nothing.Player pelted by coins and subjected to sectarian abuse of being an “orange bastard” just last week... nothing.Steve Clarke is called a “****** bastard”.“This is despicable and we have met with the comically useless Justice Minister, the police and our head men and we must stamp this unprecedented barrage of sectarianism by those big bad Rangers fans out of this country. Freeeedom!!!!”.Un-fucking-believable.7 points

Completely agree. We already know that we have biased journalism in Scotland who want to demonise Rangers fans at every opportunity. If Celtic fans are sectarian in their chants, and Rangers fans follow suit in their "tit-for-tat" then who will be portrayed as the bad guys ? Rangers fans of course. Instead, a course of ensuring we don't use such lyrics - chant he's a fat baldy wanker instead (or similar) which isn't sectarian. Win our own internal battle of not giving them any ammunition. And then, a concerted effort to highlight their songbook can come into more focus. Last night was a startling own goal IMO. There was an opportunity to highlight them in the negative light they deserve after hitting Boyd with a coin AND hitting him with sectarian abuse. Our lyrics last night allowed the Tims to go into overload on operation deflection. We gave them that opportunity and, before we know it, the Boyd situation will be airbrushed. If we don't use those lyrics, make it all about the football, then they can't deflect from it. It's schoolground mentality - and it doesn't help us in any way. Indeed, the opposite.6 points

Editorial Fair? On BBC Scotland's website, there is a 50 second clip of Killie's red card last evening. Currently, it's their second item and poses the question, "was Kilmarnock keeper Bachmann's red card a joke"? The camera angle is singularly from behind the near post, it's blurred, the offending left arm is furthest away, and does not answer the question posed. Last night's Sportscene showed the high angle, a lit graphic cone clearly shows Bachmann raising his arms, cocking the left, before releasing into Kamara's face. I am referring to the clip posted by Ian from Ibrox Chat. Why has the Editor of BBC Scotland's website posed a question quoting Clarke's conclusion, "the decision is a joke", and not answered the question by utilising the clip shown on BBC Scotland's Sportscene?3 points

Agreed but I think there has to be some countability on our behalf. Don't sing songs with these silly words and it makes it harder for our critics to have a go. We excel at shooting ourselves in the foot with this stuff. We win the game by scoring 5 goals and playing well. All very positive but it's more important to some to hurl this crap at their manager. It's tiresome3 points

Said a wee while ago that if push comes to shove, they will get the "strict liability" stuff out again - methink Stewart started it last night again too - and start using the "sectarian" singing on us (and perhaps in a light-way version on the Scum too) to deduct us points or the like. As paranoid as it sounds, I have seen so much rubbish handed out against us that I for one wouldn*t put it past them. In any case, Rangers, our board/Robertson, and the main supporters groups should make sure they are on the pulse of things and have a say IN the matter, and/or ON the matter. And testing the waters with politicions within and outside of Scotland. As I pointed out before, the Ministry of Justice as well of Defence should be contacted and asked for their view on e.g. the sectarian and terrorist-minded singing and behaviour amongst the Yahoos, the acceptance this gets in the Scottish society and amongst high-ranking politics. After all, they go 100 % against the Terrorism Act 2000 and 2006 ... despite living in Britain.2 points

We have to go on the front foot with this or they will push on and develop new legislation (either within football or within the kiddy-on parliament) without us. We must show the sheer hypocrisy of this latest bout of selective-offendedness and call out all those that were either silent after Sunday and vocal now, or called cheer up Kris Boyd "banter" and cheer up Stevie Clarke sectarian abuse. We cant wait to hope some journo shows this up, (they wont) we must go on all out attack directly from within the club. They will soon quieten down when they realise we can show them all up and we wont just sit and take it anymore like we have done the last 20 years.2 points

An absolutely farcical statement, and anything the SNP have to say you can rest assured it will be detrimental to Rangers, an absolute joke, it's only sectarian when it is anything against Catholicism or ST Pats FC,scandalous2 points

The Bobby Sands reference is stupid IMO. We, by singing about him, give him more credence than he is due. It makes little sense.2 points

When our top coaches such as Clarke don’t know the laws and rules of the game and they are supposed to be developing our game it’s time we all went home. When so called sports journalists don’t have the basic knowledge to correct them or comment on what the rules actually are it’s time we all went home - and it’s time they stopped stealing a wage. LAW 12 VIOLENT CONDUCTViolent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a team-mate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person, regardless of whether contact is made.In addition, a player who, when not challenging for the ball, deliberately strikes an opponent or any other person on the head or face with the hand or arm, is guilty of violent conduct unless the force used was negligible.2 points

I agree Ian but we need to box clever. Instead of putting the gun to our own foot, drop the gun, take a step back and allow their hatred to come to fore. Only then will it be exposed and for what it is really is. If we keep provided them with open goals there is only one outcome.2 points

#EditoriallyFair Powerful and well established lobby group influence in play and what tends to happen ? What they say and support is much more equal than tuther side of fence. It's ironic but we are becoming the Palestinians of Glasgow.2 points

They were fine actually. I think they’ve wearied of the obsession over refereeing decisions like the rest of us. They decided to start positive and talk about Morelos. Then both thought the Brophy incident wasn’t a penalty and Thompson thought it was a red whilst Stewart said he changed his mind and didn’t think it was. Due to Clarke’s strong post match comments they commented on sectarianism and Thompson was careful to avoid criticism from the Rangers fans and mentioned this happened at the weekend with Boyd too. Stewart feels strict liability needs to be looked at and unpopular as it is I agree tbh it’s embarassing that so many are chanting that kind of stuff during a football match. Also, they had 15 minutes of highlights which is brilliant for anyone who didn’t see the game!2 points

Walker and Crocker were saying last Sunday that Kris Boyd “loved” being called a fat orange bastard and being hit by missiles. They said it was friendly banter? Then this week he comments on Rangers fans singing for 30 seconds. They state the sectarian issue is out of control and point to Rangers fans being the root of the problem. Again, last week he condoned Boyd being called a fat orange bastard and laughed it off. He should be shown the door by sky. If not then his immediate boss or supervisors in the company should be investigated.1 point

Where I sit there is a guy behind me somewhere,no matter who we play or who the ref is,calls out in fact shouts they are fe***n ba****ds every game. His seat is in close proximity to where stewards stand and he could be easily weeded out,but it seems to go on. If the stewards are unable to take action in their own right they should be contacting the police to do so. As for singing we hear "F**k Bobby Sands he's Deid" every game mainly from the UB section which to me is every bit as bad as the Fe***n songs.1 point

Touch and go but Brophy's exaggeration gave the ref a reason not to give it. Edit: I also didn't know that the assistant called it. I was watching with the volume down as the stream was a bit choppy and it was going out of sync and the pundit going on and on and on about the early penalty shout was driving me nuts.1 point

Again I agree, but it is only ever highlighted when Rangers fans do anything, it is one sided. Rangers fans did for a long time drop a lot of songs, but the ST Pats fans kept on, actually got worse and nobody batted an eyelid.1 point

Until SG&Co can find a way of firing without him, Alfredo most definately does carry the teams hopes of doing well on his young shoulders. If he can stay on the park at Aberdeen in the next round, I'd be confident of getting through.1 point

If one of the defensive mids is Fernandinho then they explained this at the weekend. He plays defensive mid but if the opponents go to a 4-3-3 then he drops back to play as a CB in a back 4. If they go 4-4-2 then he advances to give them numerical advantage in midfield. It allows City to adapt their formation to the opponent without making substitutions. It was against Chelsea that they deployed it and you could see that Fernandinho would drop very deep in certain situations, but then also be much further forward to make telling passes when the situation arose.1 point

I’m I the only one who thinks this would benefit us? As long as they are full-time professionals, they might actually know the rules & foreign based refs are less likely to be influenced by Scottish media (ie to book or send off Morelos in every game). Considering St Pats have the best disciplinary record & we are cited the most, Rangers have nothing to lose here.1 point
