  2. Talented lad but there is a reason he hasn't featured in many games and has been loaned out year after year. His attitude has let him down throughout the years and it would take a miracle to get a tune out of him IMO.

  3. Gerrard has made his feelings clear on McCrories position. He is a midfielder not a defender.

  5. No way would Man U go for Southgate, the fans wouldnt have it. England didnt exactly excite at the WC and they only beat average teams. As soon as they played a good team they were always second best (Belgium and Croatia) (And you could throw Colombia into that also)

  6. Immense talent but he makes Balotelli look like a saint.

  7. When EPL clubs come in for SPL players and offer half decent money, the player's head is turned and there's no point keeping a player who wants to be somewhere else. That's just the way it is. TV, agents and money have infinite power.

  8. I'm sure we all want to keep our best players but the chances of making the CL Group Stage are decreasing every single year so if there's a straight choice between accepting an easy £20m for Morelos or risking it to perhaps even make less than that in the CL then option A will and should be taken every time. It's not a sporting choice but 2012 has surely shown us all that such financial pragmatism is a necessary evil for our club.

  9. Just returned from outer space. I see the game on Friday is well, on Friday. But I can’t see it listed on the TV Guide on Sky, BT or BBC. Anybody know what channel it is on? Cheers..

  10. Thanks. That's excellent news. I guess the website is just a little dormant during the break. No reason anyone should be suffering Premier Sport then, or their shitey commentators. "It's all about the Rangers" ?

  12. Our best run of results since we got back up to the top flight came after the winter break last season. We won 18 points from the first 21. It lasted until the 2-3 reverse at home to Celtic. In total, in the 11 games prior to the split, we won 22 points from a possible 33. The US trip seemed to help bond the players and set them up for a good run but couldn't get past them, even after a good start. The positive now is we have got over the mental block of not only beating Celtic, but giving them a going over. What remains is for this side to put a run of wins together. The thread is well named. ------------------------ edit I was wrong re. 'best run of league results since we got back up to the top flight' From this season......... 13. No thanks to Morrisson - far too much baggage and unfortunately looks like a player who shall never fulfil anywhere near his potential.

  14. A Friday night down Easter Road should be fun. When you look at the upcoming fixtures, we really have little time to rest on our laurels.

  15. Yes: Sublime skill and close-control, but doesn't know what to do with the ball. If that skill could be channelled...

  16. We all know we can't keep Morelos indefinitely but I don't want him leaving this Summer. And especially so if we win the league with a chance at the CL group stages which would be more lucrative than anything we're likely to get for Morelos. Flip side of that coin is that if we win the league the board may decide mission accomplished regarding ending the yahoo dream of 10 in a row. Which may then become let's cash in now, clear the debt and strengthen again from that base. Europe has to be the main objective and the CL group stages are the financial platform for us to eclipse the yahoos again. We have more chance of achieving that with Morelos than without him. And how many millions could CL experience tack on to the eventual price in the Summer of 2020 when he will be even stronger in every way than he is now.

  17. I don't think we will play a settled formation for the rest of the season. The arrival of Davis and Defoe give us a variety of options. The manager will probably get more benefit from keeping opponents guessing.

  18. I like having full backs and wingers but I actually think the wing isn’t our strongest position right now and with Defoe in the team it’s going to be very hard to justify playing Candeias/Kent ahead of him. I don’t think Kent is suited to the AMC role. He’s just not good enough at passing or shooting, he’s an out and out winger. It’s made for Murphy/Dorrans if they were fit. Until they are I’d prefer Arfield there with McCrorie the anchor and Jack pushed forward one. Having said that there would be times when you’d want the pace of Kent or Middleton to add that dimension to our play. In any case I’d certainly relish seeing us start a game with such an attacking lineup.

  19. What a load of rubbish! Bin all the swots I say! If you want to unearth real gems you just need to hire a manager and get him to hire players he knew from the league he used to manage in before. Like Caixinha and Mexico, for example, or Warburton and ... er ... Would your silly spreadsheets have told us to sign Eduardo Herrera or Carlos Peña? I think not. Checkmate.

  20. They USED to be reliable as they had Kenny Miller constantly feeding them info. Their information has dried up since a) Miller left and b) Gerrard has come in.

  21. Newspapers will get some right and many, many more wrong. Transfer stories are usually click bait and often placed upon the instruction of agents. Their links are usually lazy rehashes of unfounded rumour and, for the most part, you'll get better info from trusted fans on your forum of choice.

  22. Reference the thread : How can Rangers justify the Defoe deal? The clip lasts twenty minutes, it's taken from a podcast by Irish Independent radio entitled, 'Off the Ball'. The show is hosted by Joe Molloy and Kevin Kilbane is riding shotgun. They have a topic, 'the Rangers Revival' and invite BBC Scotland's Chief Sports Writer, Tom English to provide insight into Gerrard's management style at Rangers. Actually, what it does is provide insight into BBC Scotland's indolent treatment of both Rangers and Rangers supporters. Joe Molloy hosting exudes Irish charm and enjoys bonding through the medium of conspiracy. Tom is slaughtering Rangers finances and hints it's only going to get worse. Rangers are driven by the armageddon of ra Sellik achieving ten-in-a-row. It's a forecast that has Joe sneering and he is unable to indulge, "is somebody not going, is this not feeling a bit familiar everybody"? Tom travels from sheepish grin to open face guffaw. He recovers because he admires Gerrard, "I am a big fan of Steven Gerrard". Tom expands, Gerrard has been exceptional, has a big presence, and offers, "you have to have your wits about you when you are in the same room". Further, Tom concludes Gerrard's dealings with the media in Scotland has been exceptional. Certainly, Tom is giving an impression that he has crossed swords with the Rangers manager? Joe inquires as to Gerrard's style of management, "have you had the chance to sit down with him"? Tom's embarrassed smile appears, you know that one he reserves for discussing effigies hanging by the neck from the north stand at the Stade de Gadd? A hesitant Chief Sports Writer at PQ comes clean, "No, we have a particular local difficulty here Joe, BBC Scotland and Rangers don't see eye to eye". Joe continues, "is that right, is that a long term situation"? A hesitant Tom admits, "yeah, it goes back a number of years now. The less I say about it, the better". I suspect Joe is nonplussed that expert Tom is in the same darkness as himself but Tom opens a door to recovery, "it's impossible for me to speak to Rangers players so I speak to players who play against Rangers". He offers Hearts close season signing, Steven McLean as his star witness, "he tells me that Rangers are tougher, mentally and physically. They are stronger, better coached and organised". It's a Fred Quimby production, after 20 minutes of padded speculation, we are entitled to hear, "that's all folks". An insight into Rangers by talking to opposition players. At least, it's consistent all PQ discussion on Rangers is by opposition supporters for opposition supporters. All that is expected of Rangers supporters is that we continue to pay our license fees to enable Tom's considerable remuneration.

  23. Seemingly a couple of tims we’re trying to annoy Morelos and others. Is that not Middleton kneeling on sun bed looking at her ? I assumed it was him and others but my eyes are not what they once we’re.
