I have already wished far worse on this particular little reptile. Fingers crossed.2 points

I'm the same mate, I like him but I want more from him, as with all our players, how many of our players can step up another level? we can only hope they can1 point

I'm halfway on the fence and halfway on Jack's side. He's a good player but I think some of us overrate him. A good holding midfielder should be able to make good runs forward (occasionally) and also make long range, forward passes - two things Jack doesn't do nearly enough of. But I like him and I'm glad he's signed a new contract. If you're reading this, Ryan - knock Scott Brown on his arse next week and I'll be your biggest fan.1 point

I'm very happy to see the club's next captain signed up to a new deal. Jack is one of the most under rated players in the game. He's our Makelele/Scholes in that he does so much for the team that goes unnoticed. Gerrard knows an excellent midfielder when he sees one.1 point

Some Celtc players are tolerable. I don't like the club they play for but they're just blokes doing their job. However, some of them are just disgusting, despicable reprobates, who are a total waste of oxygen and Leigh Griffiths falls into that category. If he wants pity he won't get an ounce of it from me.1 point

I don't foresee any major signings, but we are short in certain areas; we need strikers and creative midfielders. Dorrans and Murphy will be like new signings too, in exactly the areas we're short; they are, when fit and on form, key first-team players. I don't think Dorrans has played under Gerrard -- outwith the odd appearance.1 point

Yes but you’ve been rubbishing Ryan Jack since he joined the club. To change your mind now would look like you were less than consistent. ?1 point

Subliminal Times. I suspect most of us thought the worst of BBC Scotland news had passed when former News Editor, Dermot O'Hara left PQ? Recently, a new line of attack has been opened once again on news items. This month, we have seen two stories on poverty and obesity. The poverty issue was highlighted by a family replete in Rangers tops. Similarly, the message on obesity was reinforced by footage of a large Rangers supporter bursting forth from his Rangers top. We live in subliminal times. It's heartening to see BBC Scotland news recovering their aggression. I have mentioned James Cook on a number of occasions, he is the journo that five years past had to apologise for deliberately editing footage of an interview with Ally McCoist. Super was Rangers boss at the time and granted an interview with the Arab, James Cook. It was a long piece, covering all aspects of managing Rangers. The word was, James Cook is the grasping aspirational type. Ferocious ambition drove him to edit the film, twice he decided to make McCoist appear flippant on the topic of sectarianism. He took laughter from earlier, lighter questions, and spliced it into his answers on sectarianism. Deliberately, he altered the story to suit his then bosses' agendas. After apologising for appallingly shoddy journalistic practice, he was promoted to the designation of, 'BBC Correspondent to the USA'. James knew it was a rite of passage thing. James has been promoted yet again, he is the new News Editor of BBC Scotland's long awaited second(news) channel. Now, Gersnetters will know Chris McLaughlin has been the recipient of two promotions over the same five year period. James and Chris will team up together this coming February when the new channel launches. I was listening to BBC Radio Scotland's Media Review yesterday, Dr Eamonn O'Neill was scathing on the conduct of Der Spiegel's top journo, Claas Relotius. He admitted to making up a dozen stories over the last several years. He had been awarded Germany's Reporter of the Year accolade on the back of a story on Syrian refugees that he admitted to inventing. O'Neill went on to reference other Fantasy Merchants in both the New York Times and the Washington Post. In conclusion he was merciless on Claas Relotius, "he wants the glory of journalism without going through the ethical hoops". I wonder why Dr Eamonn decided NOT to highlight the unethical behaviour of both James Cook and Chris McLaughlin? We should be told.1 point

It's amazing the number of Bears who don't realise that account, plus Kerrydale Meltdown, are parody accounts. Kerrydale yesterday was utterly brilliant... some Tim posts "there is a conspiracy. Both us and Hibs are losing players for derby games - wonder why that is... what do we have in common".... in response to the news they will likely lose Rogic for the 29th. Was comedy gold.... Ummmmmmm, you both have Australians in your squads and nobody else in Scotland has Australian internationalists1 point

Yes but I based my comment on the fact he’s played almost all their games, and by the looks of the videos been a good performer.1 point

I don't think we'll be able to the type of business that will instantly instill the necessary consistency of winning league matches and you have to be careful to spread limited budgets between winter/summer windows, as well as keeping an eye on the wage bill. We can forget about the reported 50K p/wk on Pena & Herrera but the club needs to pay it or the pay-offs. Now is when the football operation (recruitment) need to show their worth because we will obviously need to address the middle to front issue. I think we also need to work harder with the players we've already got. IMO Lafferty and Grezda both are currently lacking confidence and could step-up considerably. There was a moment in the game at Easter Road when Grezda picked the ball up around the half-way line and started towards the goal (not unlike some of the highlight Utube videos from Osijek days) but he got to the last third and instead of trying to make something happen, he stopped and passed the ball backwards. As for youngsters, IMO McCrorie should be a regular starter.1 point

Lennon will know that he no longer can poke fun at Rangers and get nothing in return. He will have seen how Gerrard handles pressers and know that if he doesn't at least try to keep it honest then Gerrard will show him up - and we all know that Gerrard would beat him comfortably in a war of words.1 point

I have no complaint other than inconsistency. Both Levein and Lennon said after recent games the refereeing performancing was such that it was "like playing against 12 men". Does it really get worse than that? That is a direct claim of bias. Saying there is an underlying issue with Collum doesn't, but it does suggest incompetence.1 point

Think he got hooked because the game got stretched and was getting done for pace?1 point

He's more likely to get promoted than sacked. And if he did get sacked, Jimmy Savile's former employer, the publicly funded BBC, would offer him a top job anyway. The word 'infestation' springs to mind.1 point

I am disgusted. He needs to be sacked today. The fact that someone in the national broadcaster can even think that, never mind tweet that, should result in widespread condemnation. What sort of world are we living in when someone can compare the sexual assault and abuse of children to anything else? If this isn't dealt with promptly today, I think the whole country needs to wake up and realise we have the most corrupt media organisation imagineable. I knew it was bad, but this is a incomprehensible.1 point
