  1. Grezda was about the best player when he came on. He at least tries to take on a defender. That part of the game seemed to be missing in Middleton and we know it is not in Candeias's game. Gerrard was even screaming at Middleton to take on the defender. They were smart they let Goldson, McAuley and Flanagan have the ball but cut off all options they had.

  3. We should be used to this. If anything good happens, we find a way to ruin it within a few days. Murder.

  4. It seems they’re wearing this on Sunday. https://dundeefc.co.uk/news/2018-19-3rd-kit/ Dundee Football Club are delighted to announce that this season we are continuing our partnership with SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. SSAFA is the UK’s oldest military charity which provides lifelong support those currently serving, veterans and their families at the time of need. SSAFA provides financial, practical and emotional support to the Armed Forces community through its network of volunteers across the UK, including the local Dundee and Angus SSAFA branch. We have been back in discussions with SSAFA over the past few months and again as part of the affiliation we are delighted to reveal we will have another very special 3rd kit this season which we will wear against Rangers on Sunday. The shirt which includes the Cap badge of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards will go on sale in the club shop in limited numbers late next week and is available to pre-order now from the Dundee Direct website. Over 10% of jersey sales will be added to the eventual total which we are raising throughout the year for SSAFA. Along with wearing the kit and a number of other activities will take place on the day to help build the bond between ourselves and SSAFA. We look forward to continuing our work with SSAFA for another season. Josh Meekings models the 2018-19 Dundee FC third kit at Leuchars Station Army Base, part of the proceeds from sales of the new kit will benefit SSAFA the Armed Forces’ Charity

  5. Graeme Shinnie on a bosman? An upgrade on Flanagan and Halliday for left back cover/rotation as well as centre midfield.

  6. I personally think that the only manager who has been honest this season in his assessment of the referees is Gerrard. All the rest say nothing when they get the breaks. Gerrard at least admits to the failings of his own players and gives refs credit where it is due. He has been balanced and fair, yet has been the only manager accused of moonhowling by the MSM. Go figure.

  7. Of course they can. They did it before and they could do it again. They "what about" argument wouldn't be listened to.

  11. Last night showed once again that we struggle against teams who sit deep. Ironically Aberdeen are worse than last season and we are far far better but we can’t seem to beat them. Motherwell saved us last night with their late winner.

  12. Davies should be a cert for January, he's got half a year left at Soton. Pace is not required from him, but we need someone who can change a game from midfield and we have no-one right now. Another creative chap should be on the agenda too. Yesterday was all about switching tactics and pace and flanks and we simply failed to do that. I don't mind if the creatove chap stands in the centre circle for70 mins, as long as he unlocks defences and picks killer passes. IMHO, we need two more strikers - and a change in tactics. We play Morelos alone and as long as he delivers, fine. If he doesn't or gets suspended, we have one striker who is given minutes every now and then, and another who doesn't even make the bench. Yesterday we switched from 4-3-3 to 3-1-5-1 and Grezda, Candeias and Tav all milling about on the right wing and Middleton starved on the left, all well covered by 4 or 2 players respectively. And Ejaria was strolling about like it was a u23 game and playing neat little passes with no pressing factor or penetration. I was flabberghasted that neither Halliday or Rossiter came on, as they sure have a more direct approach. Anyway, we do need more strikers who also get game time alongside one another. There is not reason whay we can't switch from 4-3-3 to a 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 against teams that hardly threaten. It is December and we hardly do that. In days gone by people were getting annoyed that MW had his Plan A and never realy changed that. What we have now is a Plan A with better players, but rarely do we change it either. That might be good against better teams who want to play themselves. But against Accies, Killie, Livingstone or Aberdeen, it does not work. BTW, people will scoff and he may probably never get another chance, but Pena might be someone for attacking MF too. Dorrans will come back some day, Arfield was also sorely missed.

  15. If you have listened to the podcasts I have appeared in I have been saying for ages that Ejaria is not good enough. What I also don't understand is why was it Ejaria and Coulibally that were jumping for the ball in the build-up to their goal. Where were our air division in Goldson and McAuly surely that is the area they should have been defending.

  18. I 100% guarantee you it is influencing his behaviour and if anyone challenges me I will provide empirical evidence to prove it re unconscious bias. Some of the old guard seem blind to this, they need to waken up. This is an orchestrated campaign by the mob and their frothing hordes to influence referees.
